I wonder if the defense (theoretically) lost by Butler‘s absence should be calculated to outweigh the effect of his offense when he’s healthy
I don't understand what you two mean by the total difference between game 4 and the opener (opening game of the series?).

I'm probably missing something.

Because I have the first game in the series closing around 213.

Thanks

I didn‘t fact-check the prior claim. You‘re right about the G1 total.

Is it just me or does it seem like unders hit at a good rate when such a big drop in the total takes place in a given series. See also Nuggets/Clippers

I don't know but it would be an interesting study.

The books will always be slower in lowering numbers than raising them because they know the dead money loves overs and favorites.

Games this time of year are slower than regular season. refs are letting them play also. Alot of fouls yesterday not called. unless your pussy boy Lebron, so less foul shots to put these games over the total.

The box is always bigger than I can imagine. I wasn't thinking outside enough.
The learning curve is so big you get tons of latitude

Hell I didn't know what soccer even was outside of World Cup before 2012. Now I'm wearing a beret. That's kinda what makes this fun!

Soccer is part of a commie plot to take over America.

At least that is what I was taught in school, in Texas.

Considering it's actual football, I get where you're coming from
I was literally told as a boy in junior high that I was playing the wrong kind of football, by a JV football coach.

I have always had a dry sense of humor, which usually got me in trouble, as did my response to him on this occasion, "What like flag football? No thanks, coach. You can keep your dainty tassel belts."

Houston tomorrow should be pretty easy. Warriors are sort of easy to cap when you can guess their effort. I see no reason again like in Game 2 for them to overdo it. They’re thinking game 6 at home and if they need a 7th, something they’ve done before - see at Kings a couple of years ago, theyll have that too. Houston could win by DD again.

Horrible refs for hometeam in NY. Both have pro road splits which is nuts to have main 2. Maybe a make up crew for the blown game in Detroit.

Yeah, can easily see both series tomorrow get extended... Lakers with the extra rest... Rockets can be on tilt...

Thank you.

For the life of me I couldn't figure it out.

I kept thinking one player but that didn't fit. I was thinking quarter not period, augh.

Thanks again.
Old habit, could easily I suppose use '1Q' but back in the day I was a just as committed NHL bettor and 1st period *is* used in NBA terms (as googling will show you) so I've always used that acronym interchangeably between the 2 sports.

It's an old pattern. After series of tough and/or close games, the home team goes up in the series after game 5, 'quits' game 6 then brings it all game 7.

Mavs/Rockets from 2005 sums it up perfectly: Games 2 through 5 were decided by margins of 2, 4, 4, & 3 pts with Dallas winning game 5. Rockets then won game 6 in Houston by 18, and Mavs then won game 7 in Dallas by 40.

Just don’t see them as a team that can go 90% and win games. Butler already banged up once this series. Houston for the most part has played right with them. The short turnaround benefits the younger team. Dubz have pieces that they can run out for 30+ mins capable of winning though.

Feel like we’ll see this with Knicks if they lose tonight and pack it in for g6.

Not even saying the Knicks would win g7 but the spot for them in g6 after Stons being robbed of a game already and being super banged up doesn’t bode well on short turnaround, too.
