10/31/16-11/6/16 NBA Discussion

Took Wizards and Dallas lines already. Also leaning the Spurs... payback for home court loss sounds about right here, but would have preferred shorter line...

The two days off should help the spurs figure things out. If the jazz shoot like they have been there's not much the spurs can do. George Hill needs to be taken out of his comfort zone and kawhi has to be big again. Might take a Leonard prop

Russ and his teammates would have been equally motivated.

Durant did not win that game on his own.

Dubs are and were the better team is all.

No he didn't win it on his own but the other players supported his little revenge scenario. Russ going into revenge mode just leads to an overaggressive uncontrolled monster. Not good

Why Dallas?
Wizards have a good team, despite of the fact that I'm not a big fan of their summer moves. 0 - 3 both SU and ATS for a reason (including a loss to the Hawks), but it's still early in a season and I doubt they are worse than the Hawks. Gortat and Dwight meet again and I do believe that Wizards have huge advantage in the back court that Hawks advantage in the front court is not enough to cover.
Wizards should be getting their first W soon without a doubt and home game against direct playoff competition is a great time to get it.

Another winless team are Dallas 2 - 1 SU and 3 - 0 ATS last season against the Blazers and still winless this season (0-4), but looked pretty decent in some of those games. They played only one game at home and from what I read, Dallas should play tonight with a sense of urgency.
Portland compete every night, but Lillard and Crabbe banged up (but both should play).
Not a play of the year, but Dallas in my opinion shouldn't be dogs in this one.

Dragic over 18 points -115
Frazier over 12.5 points -105
Wall over 14 rebounds + assists -105

classic letdown spot. fucking Klay forgot how to shoot. getting killed in the paint. lots of flaws.

The Warriors... If they can't score, meaning alllll those shots they love to chuck up, can easily get blown out. This team is purely based on the concept of scoring. The mentality isn't to dig in and get stops when things are going bad...instead it's to get the offense going as quick as possible. If it works, great they can come back on anyone probably. But when it doesn't, the hole just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

No help defense, no rotation from the weak side, no blocking out. Their defense IS their ability to try outscore people.

Again, that's just who they are and it can work, evidenced by their past two games where they smashed Portland and Oklahoma City. But there will be nights like this where they just look like crap.

Letdown spot yes, but their scheme/style of play makes bad nights look even worse

I'm still surprised Klay shoots as well as he does. Dude seems to barely use his legs when he shoots. Then again, makes sense as to why so many of his missed shots come up short

The warriors will realistically get "up" for 10-12 games this season. Every other game will be a struggle to cover imo. They don't blow teams away unless there is some vengeance of some sort.

And with all these missed threes it really just shows you the fine line between makes and misses. These guys are phenomenal shooters but slightly being off their game affects them more than the typical playoff team imo. The flaws are magnified.

Curry is 1-19 in his last 2 games @ the lakers from behind the arch. His consecutive game streak is about to end

1 game of 82. Was the perfect storm for Walton and his Lakers with the Dubs being off 'that game'.

Lakers are better than expected obviously.

Everybody who plays the Warriors, it's their Super Bowl. They're going to get up for the game and beat this 'super team'. So with the extra few points on the inflated line due to the dubs roster, and the extra motivation from opponents, they're going to be poor ATS imo.

Watched Dallas for the first time this season. Just horrible. I don't get Carlisle to be honest. You can't start with Dirk and Barnes as Center and PF... Dirk is a bad rebounder and defender as PF, so as Center... Dallas rim protection abilities are below zero and Barnes is a good defender, but he can't protect the rim or grab boards as Center/ PF either. Portland abused Dallas in the paint...
Dirk should start on the bench and leave Bogut to start and go on with the second unit imo...
I would start with Powell and Bogut and bring Barea and Dirk of the bench...

Nets, Lakers and look a lot better than I (and many others expected). Lakers won Rockets and Warriors at home and Hawks on the road and hanged in with Utah and Indiana on the road... Nets are 2 - 4, but could have easily been 4 - 2... Again, hanged in with Charlotte and the Bucks, made a late comeback against the Celtics...
Despite injuries and everything, they are competing...

Leaning towards Sacramento for Saturday. Anyone else need a hit of this weed so they see it to?
It will be a cold day in hell when I make a bet on a Kings as short dogs (or favorites) on the road, when they look as bad as they do. Bucks winning tonight and losing tomorrow is the more likely scenario imo, but I will probably stay out of this bet either way. Haven't seen anything from the Kings so far this season to make me like them...
Good luck if you play it!

It's been like that for the past 2-3 seasons. Nobody is afraid of the warriors like they were afraid last year. Now they all despise what the team has become. Demarcus cousins is going to get his career high first game vs them. I just checked and they don't play each other until January! Wtf

Bulls are 14-0 ATS (12.82 ppg) as a road dog after they had 3 or fewer double digit scorers since May 10, 2012.

Clippers are 14-0-1 OU (14.57 ppg) as a dog off a 10+point win as a favorite since Mar 29, 2013.

Cavaliers are 0-9-1 OU (-13.55 ppg) since Dec 11, 2014 on the road after Lebron James scored at least 30 pointsat home.

Hawks are 11-0 ATS (10.09 ppg) with no rest after they shot worse than 25% from beyond the arc with at least 20 attempts since Dec 05, 2009.

Suns in a better spot but this Laker team is growing on me, they have a lot to prove and are well coached.

Early start for Utah playing in MSG. Would equate to a 9am start back west. Jazz second to last in scoring. Defensively they're tough too. Maybe an under?

Kings playing the last game of a 5 game EC roadie. 5 different cities in 7 nights. Brutal schedule

The Jazz are 11-3 ATS in Sunday away games since the beginning of the 2014 season

4-0 ATS winning by an average of 13 ppg in Sunday away games as a favorite since the start of the 2014 season

4-0 (13.00, 100.0%)
4-0-0 (7.75, 100.0%) avg line: -5.2
0-3-1 (-11.62, 0.0%) avg total: 196.1

Jonas Valanciunas is out tonight vs. the Kings w/ a left knee contusion. Occurred during the week and had swelling pregame. Day-to-day. #rtz

Now that the spread's done and dusted, really hope the Kings pull this off. Teams like the Craptors need the occasional wake up call...
