Boston, Lakers, Denver, Oklahoma, Chicago, Memphis - all six are very obvious leans.
I think that Over should be interesting option in SA, Indiana, Oklahoma and Denver.
Can't see Curry or Denver shooting so poorly again. But Denver will play even faster and should score around 110 points I think.
Lakers didn't deserve to win, but I do think they could have easily covered.
It all came down to tons of little things that went Spurs way. A bounce on the rim, a foot out of bounds and stuff like that. Lakers should put up a fight in Game 2. Lakers will score 90+ points I believe and Spurs should score around 100 as well.
Oklahoma owns Rockets on offense and averages 121 points in 4 games between the teams and I simply can't see that stopping.

Dogs like Boston, Chicago and Memphis should do the job for the reasons that we all see all over the net.
It is a bit disturbing that they are many people's favorites, but I seen many supporting the home teams as well, so can't call it a public play or something...

One thing is for sure, Memphis were better rebouding team than Clippers in regular season.
Can't imagine we will see Clippers win the battle under the boards again with 47 - 23 in their favorite in rebounding and 20 points difference in second chance points...

Crooklyn played their most efficient game of the season on Saturday, can they do it again ?

Will the refs take Z-Bo out of the game like they did on Saturday ? Clippers owned the glass because of it...

Fuk i got raped Saturday and Sunday!! The dog that won, Golden State, I forgot to play!!!

Other losers for me! Memphis, Atlanta, Milwaukee and Rockets!! Shit!!!

The nets got great performances from all facets of their lineup on Saturday.

The big question marks coming into Saturday were Gerald Wallace on the offensive end and Blatche and a couple other guys coming off the bench. Now, part of the nets great success on the offensive end was lackadaisical defense by Chicago and after a point the bulls threw in the towel. On the offensive side of the ball the nets are a lot better than the bulls imo but the bulls defensive presence will definitely be there tonight

I'm currently leaning on the bulls but not sure if i'll pull the trigger

I'm surprised G.S. only got .5 pt from the game 1 line after losing David Lee. Losing him is big. He led the league in double doubles and it's going to hurt us. We're already a thin team as far as depth and I think Denver rolls by double digits in game 2.

I agree but in the playoffs the lines don't move very much. The GS/Denver series has very even action, even now it sits at 58% on the nuggets,
and the line movement wouldnt be significant.... its funny because had lee not gotten injured I think that the nuggets would have covered. The warriors were down 9 or so when he went down I believe... then the nuggets just lost concentration and started taking jump shots.

The nuggets desperately need Faried back to stop the warriors from getting so many offensive boards.

Spurs-Lakers earns 4.6 Nielsen rating

The San Antonio Spurs' 91-79 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in their NBA playoffs series opener Sunday on ABC got a 4.6 overnight Nielsen rating, Sports Business Daily reported Monday. It was the highest-rated opening weekend playoff game on the network in 10 years. It was 18 percent higher than the Lakers-Denver Nuggets opener from last year. The only opening weekend game to rate higher in ABC history was a Lakers-Minnesota Timberwolves matchup in 2003, which had a 5.1 overnight. The network's only game Saturday, the New York Knicks' win over the Boston Celtics, had a 3.7 overnight. That is 3 percent lower than last year's comparable Miami Heat-Knicks matchup. The Chicago Bulls-Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies-Los Angeles Clippers games Saturday night on ESPN each had a 2.6 overnight. The Bulls-Nets rating is 24 percent higher than last year's comparable Indiana Pacers-Orlando Magic game, but the Grizzlies-Clippers rating was 16 percent lower than last year's comparable Oklahoma City Thunder-Dallas Mavericks matchup. Saturday afternoon's Golden State Warriors-Nuggets game had a 2.4 overnight. There is no comparable game from last season.

the only thing that scares me about the under is that the nets now know that they have to play more up tempo against the bulls and dwill is going to push it... its tough for me to play the under

Heard pj talking about the defense slipping in the 2h, think that'll be the focus. The nets have played slow all year, it's all they know.

lee had 14 boards when he got hurt. Gs can't replicate that production, Landry can't board and Ezeli can't catch passes. Really really tough loss.

But when they played slow against the bulls they got beat bad. They know they have to attack the paint and play quicker.

Lee a big loss but 8 is a dog line.

Regarding the Clips/Grizz - Memphis 1-9 ATS last 10 under main ref Callahan...

BULLS AT NETS, 8 P.M. ETApril 22, 2013 · 7:30PM
TV: TNT
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said center Joakim Noah (right foot) will play about 20-25 minutes. Thibodeau cited time spent injured late in the season as a reason for Richard Hamilton‘s meager minutes. About the rest of the rotation, Thibodeau said, “we’ll see how the game unfolds.”
After Gerald Wallace led a Nets defense that held Luol Deng to 3-of-11 shooting, Thibodeau backed his leading scorer, saying “the game dictates who gets the shots.”
Asked about Derrick Rose‘s injury and potential to comeback from injury, Thibodeau said he could draw comparisons from previous stops in his career: Yao Ming in Houston, Kevin Garnett in Boston, and Patrick Ewing in New York.
Nets coach P.J. Carlesimo was asked about team owner Mikhail Prokhorov‘s recent assertion that the Nets were one good player away from being contenders. Carlesimo noted that he liked all of the players on the team, but that he didn’t disagree with Prokhorov. And he prefaced his answer by saying, “that’s a loaded question.”
The Nets have handed out black towels to fans, continuing with the “Blackout in Brooklyn” promotion.

[h=2]CELTICS AT KNICKS, 8 P.M. ET[/h] April 23, 2013 · 6:42PM
TV: TNT

 • The Knicks will get Pablo Prigioni back from a right ankle sprain after he missed Game 1. He will start alongside Raymond Felton, Iman Shumpert, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler. Amar’e Stoudemire and Earl Barron are inactive. “[Prigioni] gives us a guy that can help run our team and can give us a defensive presence out front guarding the ball,” Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. Asked if there was any minutes-limit on the 35-year-old point guard, Woodson said, “I think he’s gonna be fine.”
 • The 6-foot Felton will guard the 6-7 Paul Pierce. “Well be fine, Raymond’s OK,” Woodson said. “He’s guarded guys like Pierce all season.”
 • After going scoreless in 20 minutes in Game 1, Chandler said he’s feeling less rusty and his stamina is coming along entering Game 2. “It’s going to be a little stiff, a little score in there,” he said Monday. “But I felt great.” He added: “It’s just getting my timing back, getting my legs under me, getting back into the flow of the game.” Woodson said: “Tyson’s timing I thought was a little off and his conditioning was off also. He’s worked the last few days so I’m expecting him to be a lot better tonight.”
 • The Celtics will start Pierce, Avery Bradley, Jeff Green, Brandon Bass and Kevin Garnett. The Celtics plan to get Garnett more touches after he went 4-for-12 for eight points in Game 1. “We’ve got to play through Kevin a lot more,”Pierce told the Boston Herald. “He’s one of our best passers. I mean he’s one of the most unselfish players, so we have to do a better job of getting him the ball, a lot more than he got it yesterday.” He added: “Doc said he wants Kevin to be aggressive, he wants him to take 20 shots, but even when we run plays for Kevin, he’s so responsible that he’s going to find the open man and be responsible with the ball. He usually ends up getting four or five assists. So we have to do a better job of involving him because he’s good at doing a lot of playmaking duties.”
 • Knicks guard J.R. Smith was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year on Monday. “I’ve been known as such a selfish player for so long I just wanted to show everybody that I can be a team guy and it’s all about team,” Smith said Monday.
 • The Knicks have now won 17 of their last 19, while the Celtics have lost 12-of-18.
 • Isiah Thomas picked Woodson as NBA Coach of the Year. “That’s good but again I’m not in this for Coach of the Year,” Woodson said. “I’m in this to try to get this team to the championship round and try to win a title.”
 • If the Knicks go up 2-0, they will head to Boston feeling good about themselves. “It just meants we protected out homecourt,” Woodson said. “That’s what we played for all season, to get homecourt advantage. You gotta defend your court and then you head off to Boston, so tonight is a very important game for us in this series.”

[h=2]Bucks at Heat, 7:30 p.m., ET[/h] April 23, 2013 · 7:15PM
TV: League pass

 • The story of Game 1 was Heat center Chris Bosh connecting from the 3-point arc, but the Bucks say they won’t focus on it in Game 2. Bosh’s ability to hit the three will not affect their defensive scheme.
 • Milwaukee coach Jim Boylan said the key is having a more balanced scoring effort. With JJ Redick and Ersan Ilyasova struggling, it left too much of the burden on Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis.
 • Heat coach Erik Spoelstra calls this a pivotal game in the series he said this is “when it really starts to get competitive.”
 • Spoelstra stayed with the same starting lineup of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Bosh, Udonis Haslem and Mario Chalmers. He said it was too early to start thinking about switching things up.
 • Another key for the Bucks is keeping center Larry Sanders out of foul trouble. The early foul problems in Game 1 allowed the Heat to exploit them on the inside.
 • James spoke during pregame about the reports of Mike Brown being named coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Brown coached James in Cleveland for five years before being fired in 2010. James said, “I’m happy for him. Very happy for him. He’s a really good coach. He’s a very defensive-minded coach. It will be good for the young guys that they have.”

The Lakers forward said he had no problem with Kobe Bryant's Twitter activity during the Lakers' 91-79 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in their playoff opener Sunday.
"I love when Kobe tweets," World Peace said Tuesday. "Kobe should tweet Game 2, the whole time, every possession, critique us, criticize us, chew us out .... I love Kobe. Kobe's great.
"He should coach. Put a suit and tie on, a bow tie, put the Mamba symbol right here and get on the bench and coach. Drag that leg here. Kobe's a great coach. Too bad he's not going to coach after [retirement]. He would be a great coach."
So Bryant's not a distraction going into Game 2 Wednesday at San Antonio?
"Absolutely not," World Peace said. "I'm a distraction. I'm much more of a distraction than Kobe."
World Peace enjoyed the exchange between Bryant and Coach Mike D'Antoni after Game 1. Bryant was critical of the Lakers, tweeting that they needed to go to the low post more often, but D'Antoni rolled his eyes while talking to reporters about Bryant's tweets and called him a fan.
"That was a great joke," World Peace said. "Mike D'Antoni's slick, boy. That was awesome. I love that. Kobe was awesome tweeting coach's decisions on the court and then coach tweeted him, or messaged him back. It's all about that."

[h=2]ROCKETS AT THUNDER, 7 P.M. ET[/h] April 24, 2013 · 6:23PM
TV: TNT

 • No changes in the lineup or the approach for the Thunder. Defense again will be the main focus: “That’s the way you beat this team, impact their ability to score the basketball,” guard Derek Fisher said. Thunder forward/center Nick Collison said he and his teammates also have to block out all the talk about the Thunder sweeping the series after a dominating win in Game One. “We’re not buying into any storylines or anything coming from outside this building. So it’s not hard for us to stay focused. We know what these games mean and how important they are.”
 • The Rockets will make changes. Rookie Patrick Beverley will start at the point, and Jeremy Lin moves to the shooting guard position moving James Harden to small forward. Chandler Parsons goes over to the power forward spot, replacing Greg Smith and Omer Asik stays at center. Head coach Kevin McHale said before the game, “we have some adjustments to make, the guys have seen some things on film that were out of character for us. We took way too many contested jump shots off the dribble, that’s not how we wanna play and we gotta do something about Russell’s (Westbrook) straightline drives. That really broke us down. But we’ll be way better tonight.”
 • Harden especially needs to be better. In two games at Chesapeake Energy Arena this season, Harden is averaging 18.5 points (7.4 below his regular season average), on 25.7 percent shooting (18.1 percent below his regular season average). He’s also hit just three of his 11 three-point attempts (27.3 percent) in OKC (9.5 percent below his regular season average).

Dan Crawford in OKC. Dude may or may not screw over the Thunder. Had beef with KD last postseason.

Callahan in the Alamo, road team has covered both games under his whistle.

Offseason homework that I for sure am not doing but would applaud the person who did:

research the "dog line" perception that gets thrown around here on certain #'s and check for statistical evidence over a sample size of 500 -1,000 games, also check for annual standard deviation with that population.

Until I see legitimate statistics on x being a dog line and y being a fav line, I refuse to give it any consideration. Just me though, everybody has their methods.

i wish i could backtrack raems but i look at opening/closing and line movement

when i see a line open at 9 and not deviate much i stay off the favorite, not really sure how i could backtrack that

 • What ailed the Hawks in Game 1 will not be cured by a lineup change. Coach Larry Drew will stick with the same starting five (Jeff Teague, Devin Harris, Kyle Korver, Josh Smith, Al Horford) as in the opener despite Indiana’s dominating performance in a 107-90 victory. “We thought about it,” Drew said, “but decided to go with the same lineup.” Of the NBA-high 29 lineups the Hawks used during the regular season, the current grouping had the most success, going 11-5.

 • Indiana Coach Frank Vogel said Drew’s decision to stick with the same lineup doesn’t mean the Hawks won’t change some things. They could use more zone defense than in Game 1, when they tried it on only a handful of possessions. And Drew could use Dahntay Jones or DeShawn Stevenson earlier off the bench to provide defensive support against Paul George, who had a triple-double in Game 1. “There’s a million things you can adjust without changing lineups,” Vogel said. “I’m sure we’ll see some different looks.”

 • George was the first player since Magic Johnson with the Lakers in 1982 to produce a triple-double with three field goals or less, as he shot 3-for-13 and missed all five of his 3-pointers. “It would be good,” George said, “if my shot goes down.”

 • Atlanta’s Smith missed practice Monday with a mild sprain of his right ankle but returned Tuesday and is expected to start. “I don’t know what the percentage is,” Drew said, “but he was moving around very well (at shootaround) this morning.”

 • Indiana point guard George Hill landed hard on his sore hip in the first quarter of Game 1 and had his practice time monitored but will start once again. Pacers power forward David West limped to the locker room midway through the second period with a mild ankle sprain but returned less than three minutes later and is not listed on the injury report.

 • Indiana’s biggest challenge in Game 2 could be mental, maintaining the edge and intensity that carried them in the opener. There is definite opportunity for a letdown. “We know Game 2 is going to be harder, a tougher game,” George said. “It was a great win, great to start off on the right foot but you really have to throw that game out. You know they’re going to change things, bring a lot of intensity to the game. I know they’ve got to do a better job getting to the line and being physical with us, so we’ve just got to expect more out of them in the next game.”

Horford got two early fouls in game 1 and that totally fucked the hawks over bc drew is a moron and didnt keep him in

SAN ANTONIO -- If any one thing was established in Game 1 of the Los Angeles Lakers' series against the San Antonio Spurs, it was the Kobe Bryant-less Lakers intend to get the ball inside to Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol early, often and always.

"We're inside-out now," Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni said Monday. "We're full blown and we're going to keep doing that."

Howard and Gasol accounted for 28 of the Lakers' 73 shots Sunday (38.4 percent). But they also coughed up 10 of the Lakers' 18 turnovers.

Kirby Lee/USA TODAY SportsThe Lakers still plan to utilize Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol in Game 2, but their approach of how they get them the ball could be different.

It's a good thing L.A. is committing to Howard, a seven-time All-Star, and Gasol, a four-time All-Star, but the problem is if you go to the well one too many times against a solid, well-coached defensive team such as San Antonio, the predictability hurts you.

"Let's see if we can have a little bit better ball movement before we try to get the ball in, because if we try to fight it too much and force it too much is when the turnovers came in, most of them," Gasol said. "So, we just got to move their defense a little bit better and swing the ball, then try to post the ball up into Dwight or myself. Then it won't be as easy for them to front or make things hard for us."

D'Antoni said the goal for the two practices between Sunday's Game 1 and Wednesday's Game 2 was "cleaning up our offense."

That entails cutting down on the 18 turnovers that led to 14 points for the Spurs, but also shooting the ball better. L.A. shot just 41.1 percent overall from the field, and an anemic 3-for-15 on 3-pointers (20 percent). D'Antoni said Andrew Goudelock, an undersized guard with a legitimate 3-point stroke who was in the D-League a week ago, could also get playing time.

"A lot of it is just not being familiar with what we’re trying to do, putting in new sets, guys not being in the right spots," D'Antoni said. "A lot of it is [the Spurs] are active and they're good. We have to be a little bit smoother in what we're doing in trying to clear out. Again, we're trying to put the ball inside all the time into a tight spot. We got a lot of guys in there, so it's just trying to clean and do a better job. Some of it was we just mishandled the ball. We just got to be a little more careful with the ball."

Gasol was asked to explain exactly what the "new sets" and "wrinkles" that D'Antoni was talking about the Lakers had planned, without giving away too much.

"We're just trying to move the ball and create a couple actions before we dump the ball in the post," Gasol said. "We got to move their defense so the passes are not so forced and it's not so predictable and everybody sees that we're trying to keep that path right now and everybody's looking at it.

"So, we change [the] ball side-to-side on the floor, and that's it. It creates a couple actions where we can create some movement, the defense is not fighting from behind so much and then all of the sudden, boom. Post-up. Boom. Right there. So, that's what we're trying to do -- create some flow and move their defense before we put the ball in the post."

Gasol's "fighting from behind" comment about the Spurs' defenders was a thinly veiled shot at the referees, echoed by D'Antoni, who both felt as if San Antonio players were reaching through and around the Lakers' players' bodies to get deflections that led to their 12 steals.

Part of it is to be expected with the Spurs playing at home, where they were 35-6 during the regular season at AT&T Center with the referees allowing them to set the tone for how much contact is going to be accepted.

Fighting back with force is a tricky tactic. L.A. is already undermanned without Kobe Bryant out there. Should Howard foul out (he came close in Game 1, picking up five), they'll be putting even more pressure on their role players to play over their heads.

Success figures to come as much from playing intelligently as it does from battling hard.

"We just have to be able to flash guys to the high post," D'Antoni said. "We just have to do a better job of getting to our spots earlier, moving the ball, getting in the flow, having the discipline where if we're into a pick-and-roll or whatever that the ball is moved to the back and then in.

"We just can't come down all the time and telegraph where we're going and we have to have some kind of flow to get the ball inside, with the discipline of, 'Hey, we're going in.' I think we'll get that and the more games we play together, the better it will get."

They better get it, or there won't be many more games to play this season.

"We know how to play basketball," Howard said. "We just got to go out there and play hard, and me and Pau have to dominate in the paint, and we should win."

went over in san antonio

i cant see the spurs being that poor on the offensive side again and it looks like the lakers worked on the offensive in practice
