YTD (25-23) +21.8u
This weekend was god awful... much worse than the -3.5 units would indicate because of added plays/ nfl plays on sunday. Just a BAD weekend. On the bright side I went 3-0 on Div. 1AA plays as I am really enjoying betting on those. Anyways we are going to put last week behind us and start fresh. Week 5 does not exist to me.

Virginia -10.5 @ MTSU
Ok, This one is one of those WTF lines that have been thrown out there just to piss me off after a bad week. I am a native of Murfreesboro, TN and have been following the Blue Raiders intently since I moved here. I went to the WKU game a week and a half ago and saw first hand what a team with a mobile QB can do to them. I am not sure on the status of Craddock, but I will be watching closely for any news on him throughout the week. Virginia has seemingly turned over a new leaf, and have been playing some good football...at home. They have looked terrible on the road (Wyoming 20 pt Loss, UNC 2 pt Win). I do know that MTSU isnt a particularly tough place to play, and this will be their 3rd striaght home game, coming off a 47-6 thrashing of FIU, with all 47 coming in the first half. ACC teams have a tendancy to let down on the road, but it seems that UVA has found themselves.
Cinci +3 @ Rutgers
Look ahead or not, Rutgers got done dirty by a not so good Maryland team. USF has emerged clearly as the best team in a very soft Big East conference, as the previous 3 favorites have been exposed alot sooner than I thought. I was a sucker on WVU last week and that is a mistake that will not be made twice, and I am starting to see that strong defenses tend to dominate these "high powered" big east offenses. Cincinnati has been incredible on defense this year, and has ran away with every game, granted most of these games were cupcakes. But Cinci pulled off the upset last year, and are a far better team this year than last. USF and cincinnati, IMO, will end up 1 and 2 in this conference leaving the soft finesse teams in their wake.
Georgia +2 @ UT
The wrong team is favored here, IMO. If this game were @ UGA I would probably take the Bulldogs @ -7 and I dont think the HFA here is worth 9 points, especially with that UT defense being what it is (or isn't, rather). Like others I have seen, I think the ML is the better play with the +juice.
Houston +11.5 @ Bama
Thankfully I layed off the Cougars last week against ECU, and I will also stay away from UCF this week vs ECU. They have been written off as a bad team for some reason after the WVU disaster, but oh well. Houston can score points. Bama, I just dont think they are a very good team. They too are getting more credit than deserved for beating Arkansas, who also isn't a very good team. The SEC this year has taken a back seat to the Pac-10, and a conference who got no love for the longest time when they deserved it, is now getting WAY too much love. Kentucky #8??? please. Kentucky is a Big East team disguised by the conference lable "SEC." The Saban hype @ bama, is gonna be all but over after this week. He made a dumbass decision against Arky to kick the FG and got bailed out, and made a dumbass decision against FSU to kick in the 2nd half when you would have had to be an idiot to not see that X. Lee was on the verge of taking over the game at the end of the 1st half. So he kicks it right back to the noles, having no faith in his offense, and Lee took over. I have kinda gotten off subject, but my point is, bama should not beat Houston by more than 10, if they win at all. Houston has a formidable offense, and will score 20+ in this one leaving bama to have to score 30+ to cover. I dont see it happnin.
Arizona +4.5 @ Oregon St
The Mildcats have been hot the last couple weeks on the offensive side of the ball atleast, and I am starting to become convinced that OSU smokes weed at half time and just spaces out. Arizona has been throwing the ball all over the place, and Tuitama looks incredible. The problem is, they cant stop the pass either. Luckily for them, OSU runs the ball 35 times a game and are suceptible to the pass. Stroughter didnt play this weekend, and I am not too sure of his status for this week, if someone knows anything, this could be huge becuase that would help out the OSU passing game tremendously. Either way, I like the way that Arizona offense has been looking, and I dont see any reason to think that Oregon St will have the mindset to stop it. They just got torched for 28 pts in the 4th qtr against UCLA and that may have done them in for the season. Leaning hard on the Wilcats this weekend.
Ohio St. -6.5 @ Purdue
I am a believer in this tOSU offense now. Boekman has gotten it together, Beanie and Mo Wells and B. Sain are brutal to opposing defenses, and Purdue got somewhat exposed by a bad team from South Bend. That Purdue passing attack is not gonna get what the usually expect on offense, as tOSU's D has been amazing this year. I expect this game to end up alot like the Washington game where its close for a while, then tOSU just pulls away and takes over after the emotion and adrynaline wears off. I think we are looking at a 31-16 type game, but who knows, I would like to hear some of you Big 10 experts elaborate a little on that one before I pull the trigger.
Tulsa -3 @ UTEP
Not alot of defense will be played in this one and I am leaning to the much more potent offense. UTEP just doesnt seem like THAT good of an offense to keep this one within 3 because their Defense is a travesty and a joke. What am I missing here? I know Tulsa just gave up 30 to UAB, but tulsa probably coulda kept scoring in the 4th up by 22 and chose not to from what I understand. Input on this one will be much appreciated.

I am going to try to only take 3 -5 games this weekend as I wont be around to watch them so I am gonna shorten the card. This weekend was god awful... much worse than the -3.5 units would indicate because of added plays/ nfl plays on sunday. Just a BAD weekend. On the bright side I went 3-0 on Div. 1AA plays as I am really enjoying betting on those. Anyways we are going to put last week behind us and start fresh. Week 5 does not exist to me.
My Leans and Why
Virginia -10.5 @ MTSU
Ok, This one is one of those WTF lines that have been thrown out there just to piss me off after a bad week. I am a native of Murfreesboro, TN and have been following the Blue Raiders intently since I moved here. I went to the WKU game a week and a half ago and saw first hand what a team with a mobile QB can do to them. I am not sure on the status of Craddock, but I will be watching closely for any news on him throughout the week. Virginia has seemingly turned over a new leaf, and have been playing some good football...at home. They have looked terrible on the road (Wyoming 20 pt Loss, UNC 2 pt Win). I do know that MTSU isnt a particularly tough place to play, and this will be their 3rd striaght home game, coming off a 47-6 thrashing of FIU, with all 47 coming in the first half. ACC teams have a tendancy to let down on the road, but it seems that UVA has found themselves.
Cinci +3 @ Rutgers
Look ahead or not, Rutgers got done dirty by a not so good Maryland team. USF has emerged clearly as the best team in a very soft Big East conference, as the previous 3 favorites have been exposed alot sooner than I thought. I was a sucker on WVU last week and that is a mistake that will not be made twice, and I am starting to see that strong defenses tend to dominate these "high powered" big east offenses. Cincinnati has been incredible on defense this year, and has ran away with every game, granted most of these games were cupcakes. But Cinci pulled off the upset last year, and are a far better team this year than last. USF and cincinnati, IMO, will end up 1 and 2 in this conference leaving the soft finesse teams in their wake.
Georgia +2 @ UT
The wrong team is favored here, IMO. If this game were @ UGA I would probably take the Bulldogs @ -7 and I dont think the HFA here is worth 9 points, especially with that UT defense being what it is (or isn't, rather). Like others I have seen, I think the ML is the better play with the +juice.
Houston +11.5 @ Bama
Thankfully I layed off the Cougars last week against ECU, and I will also stay away from UCF this week vs ECU. They have been written off as a bad team for some reason after the WVU disaster, but oh well. Houston can score points. Bama, I just dont think they are a very good team. They too are getting more credit than deserved for beating Arkansas, who also isn't a very good team. The SEC this year has taken a back seat to the Pac-10, and a conference who got no love for the longest time when they deserved it, is now getting WAY too much love. Kentucky #8??? please. Kentucky is a Big East team disguised by the conference lable "SEC." The Saban hype @ bama, is gonna be all but over after this week. He made a dumbass decision against Arky to kick the FG and got bailed out, and made a dumbass decision against FSU to kick in the 2nd half when you would have had to be an idiot to not see that X. Lee was on the verge of taking over the game at the end of the 1st half. So he kicks it right back to the noles, having no faith in his offense, and Lee took over. I have kinda gotten off subject, but my point is, bama should not beat Houston by more than 10, if they win at all. Houston has a formidable offense, and will score 20+ in this one leaving bama to have to score 30+ to cover. I dont see it happnin.
Arizona +4.5 @ Oregon St
The Mildcats have been hot the last couple weeks on the offensive side of the ball atleast, and I am starting to become convinced that OSU smokes weed at half time and just spaces out. Arizona has been throwing the ball all over the place, and Tuitama looks incredible. The problem is, they cant stop the pass either. Luckily for them, OSU runs the ball 35 times a game and are suceptible to the pass. Stroughter didnt play this weekend, and I am not too sure of his status for this week, if someone knows anything, this could be huge becuase that would help out the OSU passing game tremendously. Either way, I like the way that Arizona offense has been looking, and I dont see any reason to think that Oregon St will have the mindset to stop it. They just got torched for 28 pts in the 4th qtr against UCLA and that may have done them in for the season. Leaning hard on the Wilcats this weekend.
Ohio St. -6.5 @ Purdue
I am a believer in this tOSU offense now. Boekman has gotten it together, Beanie and Mo Wells and B. Sain are brutal to opposing defenses, and Purdue got somewhat exposed by a bad team from South Bend. That Purdue passing attack is not gonna get what the usually expect on offense, as tOSU's D has been amazing this year. I expect this game to end up alot like the Washington game where its close for a while, then tOSU just pulls away and takes over after the emotion and adrynaline wears off. I think we are looking at a 31-16 type game, but who knows, I would like to hear some of you Big 10 experts elaborate a little on that one before I pull the trigger.
Tulsa -3 @ UTEP
Not alot of defense will be played in this one and I am leaning to the much more potent offense. UTEP just doesnt seem like THAT good of an offense to keep this one within 3 because their Defense is a travesty and a joke. What am I missing here? I know Tulsa just gave up 30 to UAB, but tulsa probably coulda kept scoring in the 4th up by 22 and chose not to from what I understand. Input on this one will be much appreciated.
Thats what I have so far. I really want some opinions this week on who you are leaning towards, not just out of the ones I have posted but out of all games. I am going to try to only take 3 -5 games this weekend as I wont be around to watch them so I am gonna shorten the card.
