This is disappointing for two reasons. One, I was really rooting for him.

Two, it means the Eagles still haven't solved their return game problem.

Also, Dirk Johnson (P) is apparently now available as the Birds will go with the Aussie rules football player as their punter. (Yes, the guy who got lit up in the Ravens game.)

DET cut him for this 'stated' reason..wanted return men to be dual players

Mind you last two years he has been average but in 2004(I believe) he had 4 returns for scores

I really thought Bloom had potential.

ya know, bloom didnt look all that great in the preseason

he was built up based on name recognition, but if you watched it, i think lewis might have actually done a better job (not a good job by any means, but a better job than bloom)

as for rocca...i just hope he learns how to hold the ball better for akers
