Pretty much a regular
Detroit Shock @ Sacramento Queens

Detroit at home in May was -4.5. So now at Sacramento +2ish. Seems fair.

About the only thing that really drums into me is Sacramento leading the whole game last night and then only scoring 9 in the 4th.....and allowing 28. And then losing in double OT.

rough time for them.

So do they bounce back after playing extra bball so very late into the evening (and losing)? I'm hoping for a crushing meltdown in the locker room and, well, they then face Detroit on Saturday....Shock powered back and beat the Mercury last night...nice win for them.

Now, I don't believe there's line value in this one.......however I do think Detroit will win, and the Shock are getting points...albeit only 2.

So there it is for me. w00t, go for Shock.

There was a large swing in the Shock (+2 to -2) game. Don't make much of it other than I'm glad to have gotten Det at +2 and that someone (or many) has put down more than some cash on the Shock. GL
 
Yeah, that was a wierd line movement. I think Ford will be suiting up for this game thus the movement from +2 to -2 for Detroit.

well, I had this line figured at +1 for the shock, so I wasn't shocked... lol..

and the line movement doesn't shock me either... as I figured everyone else WOULD be shocked.. haha.

I personally like your thinking in this game. Detroit has the emotional side of things in their favor and I think they are the better team. In my opinion, I think Detroit is going to win and cover and it won't be by just a couple of points. The only thing that would worry me is if Sacramento steps up defensively.. but honestly, they should be playing this one with their heads down still reminiscing over last nights' loss that got away in a nightmare 4th quarter for them... I think Detroit closes out their 4th straight road game before finally going home with a win... and a convincing one... but that's just what I think.. ;)
 
that's what I think too. I also think matador has a good response to that question...

if you bought the bet initially to middle it, then do so. If you bought the bet initially because you like the side, and nothing has changed your mind about the bet, then be happy with your value and don't middle it.

and that's where I am with it...

Yeah, I'm pleased with +2 Det and hope to still be happy with it tonight. My middles, as with parlays, more often than not stink so I try to avoid them, but sometimes I can't help but take'em....:anim-jjd:

Well, I wouldn't blame anyone for middling at +2 both ways...it's a GREAT style.

But methinks it's not for me tonight...

out of curiosity, what book do you use red??...

well, I'm sure you use more than one, so I guess the question I'm looking for is... which book do you primarily use??...

I don't mainly use any of them. For baseball, usually I use matchbook, but sometimes I can get my bet at 5dimes or one of the others earlier and/or at a better number. For WNBA, I use primarily bookmaker and theGreek because I get earlier lines......and matchbook is all but useless for WNBA, unfortunately. There just aren't enough beaverball-bettors.

I would use WSEX more, but their lines are always so damnably late in appearing...

damn, I miss pinny...

I have other accounts at such shitty institutions as betdon (when I was betting 21pt football and 16pt basketball teasers) and betus (because they had some stupid wack lines that I got some middles with last CFB season), but I don't trust them at this point........and betdon's customer support is an utter fucking joke.

oh, I also have a bodog account for when I played poker...that sportsbook is a joke, all around.

I've considered opening up a cascade account or somewheres else, but I doubt it'd be worthwhile. Got a suggestion?
 
ever since I pulled out of pinny, times have been rough... lol...

I have actually been seeing alot more of my local since then, so you can knock out any ideas of me having suggestions...

I have a 5dimes account that I rarely use.. and a bodog account that I never use... lol... I guess ever since all these crap problems with the books, I haven't wanted to mess with them much... just not sure which I could be confident in anymore... which is why I was curious which you trust most.
 
I hate losing. biggest difference I can see in the game is 37 FTs taken by the monarchs and 16 taken by the Shock.

The line movement was more exciting for me than the game which surprized me almost to the point of shock. GL on your next play.
 
thanks...had a bit of a bounce back with the Fever today, but I really thought the Shock would win on Saturday...
