Don't like any of those options.
I'm telling ya, they should scrap both Washington and Redskins and just go by The District. It fits on play by play: "first and ten at the District 45", "the score at halftime, the District 13, the Eagles 7.". It would be trendy the way Golden State has their The City logo. They don't need to change their color schedule. And if D.C. becomes a state the name would slide right in with those state/region teams like Tennessee and Carolina.
Should be DC _______
Get rid of the Washington part too
Since Washington is changing their name, what are the odds on the next team they will go after?
Gotta be the ChiefsSince Washington is changing their name, what are the odds on the next team they will go after?
Giants is going, too. They make midgets feel marginalized.
Watch your step young man. I get abused enough.
Um? Sorry I didn‘t know...
I'm sure they'll find a way for cowboys to be offensive. Maybe even the Raiders.
Social media detectives gonna know the whole history about both in a week.
Chiefs definitely done.
This choice ain't bad, imo...

Redwolves name emerging as a favorite of Redskins Twitter
The Washington Redskins are exploring a name change. And if Redskins Twitter has anything to say about it, Redwolves would be the team's new name.riggosrag.com

True but it makes sense.
A Red Wolf is an actual subspecies, (Canis rufus), that was once common throughout the eastern and south central states, so you've the local thing working. Wolves and Native Americans have a common thread of nearly being exterminated, and wolves were held in high regard in their cultures, so it's not that much of a stretch to change from a mascot point of view.
Plus, you can keep the same team colors.
