Who's motivated tonight?

I have had very little time to get into preseason this year, which frankly worries me a little bit for the season as a whole, but that's not important right now.

Here's the deal. In the final preseason game, only one thing really matters, who wants to be there and who doesn't.

Many teams have all their major battles solidified. If you can find teams like that, or the top tier teams that simply don't want to get injured, playing teams that still have some competitions going on, be it at QB or in a key area, generally those latter teams make good plays in the final contest.

Looking over the schedule today, anybody see anything like this jump out at them?

fade the Lions...;)

Haven't looked as I am 0-1 in preseason and gonna stick with it..hehe.

my opinon may be a bit skewed but for the most part i think it is fairly objective. I think the browns should be a play tonight as they have a QB controversy brewing and they do not know who their starter is going into week 1. Therefore i think offensive play calling will be more attacking and thus score more points.

I like the Browns as a second half play, probably a game play as well and it is mostly for the QB reason.

The Bears are done. They're ready. I imagine Brewer will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't really think they've got any battles left to wage.

Griese might make some waves in the second and third quarter, but I imagine even he'll be out before the fourth.

Meanwhile, instead of starting Quinn tonight, it appears Romeo is going to go with Frye for a series or two, then Anderson, then Quinn in his normal rotation.

If that's the case, if Quinn gets basically the whole second half, I expect him to do the same thing he's done for two weeks, beat up on second team defenses.

Last week the only reason Quinn didn't have two TD passes just like he had the week before was because Joe J. didn't drag the toe in the endzone. If he gets that foot down, Quinn is averaging 14 points per game.

So, yes, I sound like a homer, but I think there's value in the Brownies tonight.

I'm always pumped for preseason. always a cash maker. this weekend will be no different...... I hope. but at least I am pumped.

bears are on a mission this year. superbowl or bust. they are focused as they have been the last two years. im not about to fade them, even if its just preseason at soldiers field. they completely dominated the 9ers. rex continues to take risk after risk.

im not gonna bet this game nor watch much of it. quinn should continue to do well tho imo. maybe browns team total?

take the giants .. new england will only dress as few as possible remember when they only dressed 28 for their last preseason game before ... the giants likely want to be sharper goin into season
