Lesson: don’t ice a kicker when you want him to attempt the field goal/when it‘s already going to be a very hard field goal?
NooooopeThe Grove Collective is not going to be happy with their ROI this season
Still take Oregon as best team in the conference.Ohio State the best team in the nation
Kansas playing very well lately. Really turned it around
Yeah, the new way of CFB will be a lot of 2-3 loss teams but the regular season will have a lot more good games as well.I think it's also pretty clear that parity hit the SEC a lot faster than most thought. While I can buy that there are no elite teams, there are at least 8 or 9 teams that can play with anyone on any given Saturday
It will be more like the NFL where styles make fights, rather than team A just having an overwhelming talent advantage over team BYeah, the new way of CFB will be a lot of 2-3 loss teams but the regular season will have a lot more good games as well.
For sure!It will be more like the NFL where styles make fights, rather than team A just having an overwhelming talent advantage over team B
Happy. I had illi
I think OSU gets em in the BIG Champ game.Still take Oregon as best team in the conference.
OSU issues on OL and Howard is solid but we'll see playing a few games against really good opponents in a row.
I think OSU gets em in the BIG Champ game.
Good point.If I'm Oregon, I'd sit everyone. You're in.
This might be my favorite match next weekWe can thank Fresno for beating CSU, so we can get a Boise/UNLV rematch for the MW title. Nobody needed to that fraud playing Boise.
Biff is so great.Off the grid yesterday. Some day.
- Thought a week ago that A&M would lose to Auburn and then beat the Horns. Nothing's changed. I simply don't trust Ewers in that environment.
- Not shocked by Ohio's win. No amount of scheming and adjustments will compensate for that disparity in talent and athleticism.
- Looked to be an uninspired debacle from Alabama. Jackson Arnold beat you? And high school juniors can't throw those interceptions that Milroe did. And they don't. Those weren't just picks. They were atrocious picks.
- Yeah, leave it to Kiffen to get a hallmark win against Georgia and then wet the bed in Gainesville.
- Mr. Peanut has grapefruit-sized balls. At least yesterday.
- Hats off, again, to SMU. Primed for a letdown and not needing to win at UVA, just took care of business. Can't wait to get points with it in the ACC title game, whether that be Miami or Clemson.
- Speaking of prime, nice shove of the ref, Shedeur. Who's surprised?
- Where was this, all season, Kansas? Last 4 games it's been the best team in the Big 12.
Uncomfortable AD interview of the weekend:
George Constanza (former) coaching moment of the weekend:
Just go under. Under is 26-7-2 last 35 games. Sometimes God even steps in to block field goals.Hard to see an edge in the egg bowl. Neither team probably wants to be there. I liked Miss St when Ole Miss was CFP bound. But Miss St is just so bad and I think trying to find any angle here is a stretch and doubt I’ll play.
Ole Miss, despite the rivalry, has to be deflated.Just go under. Under is 26-7-2 last 35 games. Sometimes God even steps in to block field goals.
Including 4-0 by an average of 19 points since Kiffin took over at Ole Miss.Just go under. Under is 26-7-2 last 35 games. Sometimes God even steps in to block field goals.
Offense can be deflated as much as the defense.Ole Miss, despite the rivalry, has to be deflated.
We're going to have a handful of years like this till they come to the final product. It’s a watered down product right now. NIL, playoff expansion all of it.
I don’t hate it, it’s just different.
Parity hit real fast like someone said, especially the SEC.
The scheduling will fix itself imo. This shit can’t fly
There's no way of getting away from unbalanced schedules. Everything is based on perception in the first place, but if we get the NFL version of schedules it could keep things more fair I guess. That would require not making schedules too far in advance if you catch my drift. We're going to have a handful of years like this till they come to the final product.
Unbalanced schedules are brutal.
I think the best we can hope for is making p4 OOC scheduling a requirement. There's not much you can do about conference scheduling because it can be hard to predict who is going to be good in a given year, especially with the transfer portal as it is currently constructed. To your last point, the schools seemed to make it work during the covid season, so yeah, they could make it work on shorter time schedules for sureThere's no way of getting away from unbalanced schedules.
