made 2 early bets where I expect the lines to move against me: Ten +10, KC - 1.5

I forget who said it 2 weeks ago in one of the discussion threads, but at the time SD, Bal and Dal were all greatly outperforming the numbers and that trend was not expected to continue....would be in good shape if you had bet against those 3 teams the last 2 weeks. I expect that trend to continue this week, although it is tough to get involved in the Dal game as you never know what to expect when teams travel across the pond. I still think KC is undervalued, even though they are favored on the road against a decent Buf team. I view KC as a legit super bowl contender and Buf as a 7-8 win team at this point (which is better than I expected from them coming into the season).
 
Great spot to play the J-E-T-S, but certainly one of those hold-your-nose type plays. Pit 2-2 on the road and Todd Haley is bound to screw something up after the last two weeks. Over probably worth a play there as Pit is coming off a tough game against Balt and both defenses are banged up and suspect to begin with. No way you get the same effort out of old men like Keisel and Harrison this week - it is just not physically possible. Only concern is Pit did not score in those 2 road losses @Bal and @Clev and struggled to score in the win @Jack and, as said before, Haley will likely outsmart himself and change everyting that worked the last couple weeks.

C-man I agree with all you said. Took Tenn +10 myself & lean KC. I do lean Jets also but not a play-on so much as a play-against. Two b2b blowout home wins now on the road to face one of the doormats. Granted I pegged this line to be 5 before Sundays games were played but I'd have expected that win to move it more. Line doesn't seem right but I'm holding out for a 7.
 
Traditionally KC struggles up in Buffalo....last year they did everything they could to lose the game and Jeff Tuel handed it to us with a 100 yard pick 6 on 1st and goal. Chiefs D is playing so well right now but I wouldn't bet em this week. Should be a low scoring game.

i remember that, domination by an inferior team and then Tuel threw it away. I'm warming up to KC, but don't think I can call a run and throw to the TE offense with Alex Smith a title contender with the guys they've lost on defense

No one is gonna touch NYJ besides sharps, not sure that makes me want to jump in front of the PIT bus but maybe i do? I don't think they're that good honestly

Wonder what your lines are for Dallas with Romo vs without? I had it at 9 before last week and then adjusted to 11 after realizing it was in London and assuming Romo plays and that the Boys are pissed. Probably way too high considering the previous short number on MIA and DET in London, but less than 7 vs Jax seems short

That Pitt line is weird as hell…I agree the Steelers are not as good as they are regarded right now, and after the big wins, they may come out less than focused, but I don't know how anyone can back the Jets. That team is not only bad, but just snake bitten…did anyone see the play at the goaline last week at KC? Jets swat down the pass by Smith and it falls into the TE's hands who is lying on the ground...

But that line might be the strangest of the season...

Games between teams with a wide disparity in turnover differential:

Carolina (+4) at Philly (-10)
Chicago (-3) at Green Bay (+8)
Denver (+3) at Oakland (-10)
KC (-2) at Buffalo (+7)
Pitts (+2) at NYJets (-15)

Seattle has lost 4 straight ATS, usually about the time I start looking for a streak buster. Same with Arizona, who's won 4 straight ATS.

The Dolphins are +9 in TOs the last 3 weeks, the best 3 game differential for any team this year.

The Jets are 1-1-1 ATS when pushing on turnover differential and 0-6 when having a negative one. They have not had a positive differential all year.

The Steelers have not had a negative turnover differential since Week 2. They are 4-0 ATS with a positive differential and 1-4 ATS when neutral or negative.

we always play the trap game, but 2.5 is probably a bad number put out there foolishly instead of a message NYJ is the side this week. I'm gonna play them in my pool, but I don't think I could put my own money on them without a +7 that i doubt we'll get

really like the under in this gm.. i think 38 is way closer to what it should be and what it would have been just a couple years ago..
 
KC and Buf are much different than they were a couple years ago. If Watkins is healthy I would play over as KC will get theirs. If Watkins is less than 100% it is anybody's guess. No way this line should be in the 30's though, think 42-43 about right.
