Pretty much a regular
Like the over in Cleveland in the early game today. Hot. Humid. Wind blowing out. Two fly ball pitchers. Just waiting on the ump

Early interest in
NY over possibly NY
Nationals
Angels
Bad ump for over
13 innings on 6+ for Dickey 8.75 ERA this season is something but not alot

Info on Cahill?

Cubs are 11-3 off a day off.
They are a Great day team 35-19
They are playing off 2 losses
This is supposed to be Death for Milwaukee
Cahill is Not good on 6+.He is very bad and is general an up and down pitcher. What is going on?

No group thread.Estrada has a real problem today
With Layne 9.19 ERA based on 15.2 innings

Probably not. Lot of interesting dogs. Pitt being one. Something of a problem that Samardzilla is on 5.
2.23 ERA 5-1 44.1 but I still have to think about it

Velasquez on 6 career 4-0 1.80 ERA based on 35 innings
Maeda only 16.1 innings so not too reliable 3.86

Shark had a little motivation last time out in Miami squaring off against his former college teammate in Phelps

Disco facing his former employer tonight.... Disco for Latos trade was a big win for the Reds' rebuilding process obv

Reasoning. Cardinals suck after a day off
Dallas this year and last has been very good on 6+ and when Dallas is pitching good at home Houston usually just wins.Cards 5-11 after a day off while Houston is 8-4 are some of the reasons

big loss for Cincy as he has been a huge catalyst for their offense in the 2nd half. lean under now with best offensive players from both teams out.

playing SD. EJ has pitched well in 4/5 since coming over and SD hits LHP much better and TB hits RHP poorly.

Jake Thompson earned his first major league win on Friday after allowing three runs over five innings.
Thompson was knocked around by the Padres in his major league debut last weekend, but he held the Rockies to just two hits and struck out six batters. The rookie right-hander gave up a home run to Charlie Blackmon and walked three batters, so he was far from perfect, but he hung in the game long enough for his offense to give him the lead. Thompson should have some matchup appeal down the stretch in fantasy leagues. He gets the Dodgers next week at home. Aug 13 - 12:22 AM

Happ probably is the play but he leans down on 6
Problem Drake and Lester
Baseball-reference shows Lester with a 8.04 ERA with Drake. I think that is wrong . Based on Covers their innings estimate is certainly wrong but the real ERA might be ugly??

Anthony Ranaudo will be called up to start for the White Sox on Wednesday in Cleveland.
And he'll probably remain in the rotation until Miguel Gonzalez returns from a strained right groin. Ranaudo has an 8.71 ERA in 10 1/3 innings this season at the major league level and shouldn't be considered a viable fantasy streaming option versus the first-place Tribe. Aug 16 - 5:05 PM

Gerry Davis behind the plate today not Drake.

Tigers haven't scored more than 1 run in their last 5 home games.

Tigers haven't recorded a win by a 2+ run margin in their last 12 home games in which they've scored 9 runs or less.

Tigers haven't recorded a win by a 3+ run margin in their last 20 home games in which they've scored 9 runs or less.

Red Sox have not won 4 consecutive road games this season.

Braun back in the lineup this afternoon.

Billy Hamilton pinch-hit last night and looked good running the bases; I'd imagine he'll be back in the lineup against Fernandez tonight. The Straily underdog train keeps on chuggin' along; trying to talk myself into holding my nose and playing CIN at that price

Rodon playing after 122 pitches. Most in his career. So far this season after 105 he gave up 4 runs in Detroit.
After 115 at home he gave up 4 runs at home. He tossed 106 and then pitched very well at Miami only 1 run
which leads to now and the 122. Still thinking

final inning for Rodon at Miami was pretty stress free... couple flyouts and a groundout. that's a pretty important factor for me when evaluating pitch count going into the next start -- how stressful those final 20-30 pitches were -- but I know it's diff strokes for diff folks when it comes to capping the new generation of pitchers

Saint Louis @Philadelphia on Friday

These 2 teams are 7-2-1 to Over their L10 meetings.

Philly
- 10-0-2 to Over L12
- 7-1-2 to Over L10 @home
- 8-1-2 to Over L11 @home vs. non-divisional opponents
- 6-2 to Over L8 @home vs. NL Central teams

Cards
- 5-0 to Over L5 road games
- 9-2 to Over L11 overall
- 11-2-1 to Over L14 road games
- in their L15 road games, have held only 1 opponent to less than 4 runs

Marlins are 13-14 SU on the road vs. teams w/.500+ records this season

4-0 vs. the Dodgers
6-6 vs. the Mets & Nationals combined
3-8 vs. all other winning opponents

After going 20-15 SU in their first 31 road games, Marlins have gone 11-16 SU in their last 27 (3-8 SU vs. teams w/.500+ records; 8-8 SU vs. teams w/losing records).

---

Pirates
- are 14-5 SU in the L19 home games in which they've scored at least 3 runs in
- are 8-2 SU in their L10 home games decided by 1-2 run margins
- are 45-21 SU in their L66 Friday games

Pirates are also 13-4 off a day off and for a long time they simply did not lose at home on Friday

Reds manager Bryan Price said that Tim Adleman will join the rotation moving forward.
Adleman had pitched to a 2.83 ERA and 38/10 K/BB ratio over 56 2/3 innings in 10 starts for Triple-A Louisville. He has also made four starts for the Reds this season, pitching to a respectable 3.72 ERA with a 16/9 K/BB ratio over 19 1/3 innings. The 28-year-old right-hander does not hold fantasy intrigue unless he starts to put together a string of solid starts. Aug 17 - 10:00 PM

Julio Teheran (lat) will be activated from the disabled list and start Friday versus the Nationals.
As expected. Teheran allowed just one earned run while striking out five and walking none in a five-inning rehab start last Sunday with Triple-A Gwinnett. The 25-year-old right-hander was placed on the disabled list August 1 because of a lat strain. He owns a shiny 2.81 ERA, 0.965 WHIP, and 119/29 K/BB ratio in 134 2/3 innings this season with Atlanta. Giants have equaled their season high mark of 8 straight games totaling 7 runs or more (previous streak ended in a home game that had an opening line of 8.0).

Mets have set a season high mark of 5 straight games totaling 9 runs or more with Friday's 8-1 loss (previous longest streak was 4 games, once).

Montgomery getting spot start for Cubs today with Lackey pushed back to Tuesday. He is only expected to pitch 3 or 4 inn. tops with Cahill following him.

Jason Lewis of CBS 6 Albany reports that the Rockies will call up pitching prospect Jeff Hoffman to make his major league debut on Saturday versus the Cubs at Coors Field.
Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post and Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports have confirmed the report. Acquired from the Blue Jays in the Troy Tulowitzki deal, Hoffman has posted a 4.02 ERA and 124/44 K/BB ratio over 118 2/3 innings in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League this season. It's obviously not the best spot for his major league debut at Coors Field against the Cubs, but Hoffman has a shot to carve out some deep league value while Tyler Chatwood (back) is out.Aug 19 - 2:25 PM

Ross Detwiler was punished for five runs on seven hits and four walks over 4 2/3 innings in Monday's loss to the Rangers.
Detwiler started off well enough, but he fell apart in the middle innings. Adrian Beltre's grand slam in the fifth proved to be the death blow. The left-hander put together a surprisingly great start last week, but history tells us his stint in the A's rotation probably won't last long. Detwiler is on tap to face the White Sox the next time out. Aug 15 - 11:37 PM

Luis Cessa struggled out of the pen in Sunday's loss to the Rays, allowing five runs on five hits over three innings.
Cessa was forced into relief action with two outs in the fourth inning, when Joe Girardi opted to replace struggling starter Luis Severino. Unfortunately for Girardi and company, Cessa didn't pitch much better. The Rays would pick him apart over the course of his three innings of work, with Nick Franklin putting the exclamation point on matters with a three-run home run in the seventh inning. In 18 2/3 innings of relief work this season, the 24-year-old right-hander has pitched to a 5.30 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. Aug 14 - 6:06 PM

Zach Neal will start Sunday against the White Sox.
He's making a spot start in place of Jesse Hahn, who was scratched after feeling renewed shoulder discomfort. With Hahn's status up in the air, Neal has a chance to remain in the starting rotation. However, he'll have to put his best effort forward with top prospect Jharel Cotton close to making his big league debut. Aug 20 - 5:31 PM
