ACC

35-3 BC scored their most points ever in the FSU series, largest MOV and snapped a 7 game series losing streak for their first win vs Noles since 2009. BC’s previous high MOV was 13 pts and came in 1957. Dark times for FSU. BC missed a FG to open, but went 7p 79y for TD on a 34y WR throw (by Jeff Smith former QB). FSU had 1st-and-goal at the B6, but fumbled. Later BC converted 4th-and-2 at F38 on their way to a 14-0 lead early 2nd qrt. BC LB made a great INT literally taking the ball away from the FSU TE as they were in mid tackle at the B37. BC busted a 39y run on their way to a 21-0 lead. FSU kicked a 39y FG for the 21-3 HT score. FSU muffed a punt at the F11 and it was 28-3 BC early in the 3rd. FSU didn’t advance beyond their own 31 yard line in the 2nd half with 37 yards of O! 19-10 FD and 329-213 TY (4.3-3.8) for BC. FSU –3 TOs. Brown 6-20-54-1-0, 20 rushing. Dillon 33-149-TD. Blackman 11-26-102-0-1 (sacked 2x). Akers 18-49. BC DE Landry DNP. FSU Thomas and James combined for 28 tkls.

24-19 Miami would’ve lost to a lot of teams today, thankfully for them UNC made a lot of mistakes. In the first half UNC was in the RZ 3 of their first 4 drives, but were SOD twice and only managed 3 pts (once was a fake FG on 4th and 19). Surrat was inj on the 3rd series, Harris wasn’t dressed so enter 3rd string Nathan Elliot. First half UNC kicked 2 FGs and UM hit a 51y TD pass. 7-6 Canes. HT yards were 258-177 Heels. UM hit 78y TD pass 1st play of 3rd and a punt blk set up a 9y “drive” for a 21y FG. 17-6. UNC got TD and then threw INT at the M4. UNC D later got an INT, but PI whipped it out and UM got a TD to lead 24-13. Teams traded INTs, then punts. UNC scored TD with 3m left to cut it to 19-24 (2pt no good). UM recovered the onside kick but then fumbled next play! UNC was at M37 1st-and-10, but fumbled it back and UM killed the clock. 27-16 FD, 428-415 TY (4.7-5.7) for UNC. UNC lost 4 TOs, UM lost 2. Rosier 16-38-356-3-1 rushed 20y. Elliot 16-39-173-1-3, 79y rushing.

42-32 Wake Forest was on fire! WF’s 625y was just the 2nd time in school history they topped 600! Lamar Jackson was sacked 7x, tied 2nd most WF history. It was 14-3 when LV threw INT in EZ, soon after it was 21-3 Deacs! 28-10 HT. WF’s 340 1st half yards, they didn’t top 300 in their previous 2 games vs LV! Dortch got his school record 4th receiving TD in the 3rd to make it 35-10! LV had 523y, but 209 came on their final 3 drives. Wolford 28-34-461-5-0. Jackson 27-44-330-1-1, rushed 27-161-3TD.

31-14 Pitt. UVA was only 2 of 4 in the RZ (SOD at P1 and P10, had 1st-and-goal both times) and also missed a FG from the P25 and SOD at P37. 14-0 Pitt when Henderson got a real nice punt ret TD 21-0. UVA scored TD before HT to make it 21-7. UVA punted their first two drives of the 2nd half, while Pitt added to their lead 28-7. 20-19 FD and 314-310 (4.3-5.3) TY for UVA. DiNucci 10-18-134-1-1. Hall 25-111-TD rushing. Benkert 22-42-212-2-1. 3 sacks for Pitt D.

35-14 Notre Dame scored 28 unanswered after trailing 7-14. NCSt’s first TD was off a blk’d punt fallen on in the EZ. It was 21-14 ND when Ryan Finley threw his first INT in 339 att when Pack C snapped the ball early (thought ND had jumped offside), Finley wasn’t ready for it and either thought he had a free play or was trying to throw it away (under pressure), but it was a 69y pick-six to make the score. 28-14. ND capped the scoring in the 3rd with a 77y Josh Adams run through a hole so wide an 18 wheeler could’ve gotten through it. 25-14 FD, 422-263 TY (5.8-4.3) with 318 RY (5.9). 9 of 16 3rd down for ND, NCSt 31%. Wimbush 10-19-104-2-0, 21 rush. Adams 27-202-TD. Finley 17-37-213-1-1. NCSt RB Nyheim Hines was injured early. NCSt penalized 12x89y (ND 4 FD by penalty).

24-3 Virginia Tech enjoyed fantastic field position all night while Duke was deep within their own territory. Heavy rain kept both O’s mostly contained. 1st qrt VT avg starting position was the 50, in the 1st half it was the V43, 2nd half V32. Duke starting field position by qrt, D23, D18, D17, D24. So it was uphill all night for Duke and downhill for VT. Duke did little right and VT didn’t have to work too hard on O. VT was SOD 3x in Duke territory. A critical moment in the game was with Duke burning some clock before HT about to punt from their own EZ with the clock running, Duke committed a personal foul after the play, stopping the clock and instead of punting with :06 left based on play clock vs time clock, they instead punted with :42 and VT would get a TD with :15 left in the half for a 17-3 HT lead. Duke had their final 2 drives SOD at V28 and V11. VT ended the game at the D26. 23-10 FD and 387-183 (5.1-3.1) TY for VT.

24-10 in the rain Clemson recovered a fumble on GT’s opening possession and scored 2 plays later. Clem would then fum at G26 and got a 65y run to C9 leading to FG. GT then went 3-and-out on their next 4 drives while Clem built 21-3 HT lead. Clem opened 3rd with a 29y FG. Next 6 possesions were punts until GT SOD at C25 early in the 4th. Mid 4th GT converted 3rd down 2x and 4th down for a 12p 79y TD drive. With 4-1/2 min left GT kicked deep and never got the ball back. FD 21-10 and 428-230 (5.5-4.1) TY for Clem. Clem D 4 sacks. Bryant 22-33-207-2-0, leading rusher with 67y. Marshall 3-13-32-0-0, only 23 net rushing y. Benson 16-129. Tre Lamar led Tigers with 11 tkl and had 2 sacks.

56-26 Memphis jumps out to 35-0 lead at which point Mem had more TDs than Tulane had FDs! But starting midway through the 2nd qrt and into the 3rd Tulane would score 19 straight (missed xpt and 2pt). Early in the 4th Tulane was at their own 12 and Banks missed a wide open streaking WR for a would-be TD. Next play Banks was sacked and next play they had the snap hit a receiver in motion leading to a Memphis D TD. 42-19. Memphis added their last TD after Tul was SOD at their own 22. Mem D got 7 sacks! Mem 9 of 14 3rd down, Tul 11 of 23. FD even 18-18, 557-325 TY (8.8-3.9) for Mem. Ferguson 18-31-298-3-1. Henderson 10-112-TD. Miller 6-75-TD. Banks 15-30-203-3-0, 19 rushing. Hilliard 19-69. Mem LB Avery 8 tkl, 3.5 sacks, 5.5 tfl.

38-34 SMU reaches bowl eligibility. Tulsa led throughout the first 3 qrt until SMU gained a 35-34 4th qrt lead. Tul would’ve led 35-21 in the 3rd off a 72y Hobbs TD reception but he ever-so-slightly changed his running to a slight high step (not even quite a high step) and the refs threw an unsportsman-like conduct penalty and Tulsa had to settle for a FG and 31-21 lead. Tul’s second to last possession was INT’d in the EZ and on their last drive had a 51y pass to the S16 with about 3m left negated by illegal formation, they were SOD 3 plays later and SMU killed the final 2-1/2m. 22-19 FD for Tulsa, but 581-458 TY for SMU (9.1-5.9). Tul 53-31% 3rd down. SMU 59-39% completions. SMU had three 100y receivers.

28-24 Houston ends USF’s 30+ pt streak and hands them their first loss in dramatic fashion. Teams were scoreless in the 1st qrt. USF was moving it, but not getting pts, until they stopped UH on downs at the H37, Bulls drove short for a 7-0 lead. At HT the yards were 198-75 (Bulls were SOD twice at UH 11 and UH 27). Postma started, but was pulled for King after their 2nd possession. King didn’t look ready to lead the O in the first half (sacked 3x in the half). That changed in the 2nd half, as UH ran and passed their way to a quick 6p 75y drive to tie 7-7. USF came right back 13p 75y incl a 4th and 1 conversion. 14-7. After trading punts and Duke Catalon out with injury (Birden not dressed), 3rd string RB Mulbah Car took over with 4 straight rushes for 74y and a 14-14 tie! Punts. Early 4th Mulbah was stopped on 4th-and-1 and USF scored a quick TD for 21-14 lead. UH converted 3rd and 8 and then King busted a 44y run and 3 plays later had a 21-21 game. USF took over with 6-1/2 left and started on a clock eating drive. UH held them to a 30y FG with under 2m left. 24-21. A 50y KO ret gave UH great field position, but King was TFL, incomplete and sacked. 4th and 24 UH called their final TO with 1:07 left setting up a mini-hailmary which was caught for 30y! It was 3rd and 9 at the USF20 when King ran it in for TD with :11 left! USF had 5 sacks, UH 4, each team had 12 TFLs. 21-16 FD and 462-397 TY (5.0-5.4) for USF. UH was 4 of 15 3rd down, USF 7 of 23. Flowers held to 7y rushing. USF WR Scantling 10-186.

CUSA

41-30 FIU wasn’t bothered by the cold and rain in the WV mountains holding Mar scoreless on their first 4 drives and FIU jumped out 14-0. A pick-six made it 35-7 FIU in the 3rd! Mar was -3 TO and was SOD 3x in FIU terr. 29-21 FD and 505-401 (6.2-6.1) TY for Mar. Herd had been allowing 110 rush ypg, FIU ran for 224 on them. McGough 14-18-177-2-0 added 23 rushing. WR Owens had his 4th straight 100y game 7-114-2TD. Litton 33-52-363-3-2. WR Brady 9-101-TD.

42-28 LT was tied 28-28 late 4th qrt, when LT capped their 11p 75y drive for the go-ahead TD with 1m left. Then a 37y pick-six then got them the cover. Earlier LT had leads of 14-0 and 28-14 before Rice came back. Rice was -4 TOs (final one on hailmary in EZ with :09 left) and Owls outgained them 434-417 (6.9-5.9). Smith 21-32-237-1-0, 27y rushing. 42-28 FAU led 10-3 1st qrt after recovering a touched punt at the W8. After falling on a fum at the W18 FAU had a 17-7 lead and had 26y of O on their two TD drives. WKU had TD drives of 53, 81, 85 and led 21-20 HT with a 262-196y edge. FAU SOD at W24 to open 3rd then WKU had a 24y FG blk’d, but later drove 78y for TD and 28-21 lead entering the 4th. WKU threw INT at F31 and Singletary broke a 60y run leading to TD - 28-28. WKU picked a bad time for back-to-back 3 and outs as FAU went 4p 60y and 10p 62y TDs for a big 4th qrt. WKU’s final drive was SOD sack at the F26. 32-21 FD and 470-461 (5.3-5.8) for WKU and were 62-41% 3rd down. Driskel 10-24-93-1-1. Singletary 36-244-4TD. White 32-56-371-2-2.

45-38 North Texas led 28-10 with each team scoring ST TD (ODU KO ret, NT punt blk ret). ODU got their 2nd KO ret TD and after a fum recovery and 28y FG it was 28-20 NT. NT got a short field TD after an INT and ODU would fake a punt leading to a FG. 35-23. The 3rd qrt was all ODU as they had two 60+y TD drives and led 38-35. But they were sacked/fumbled their next drive giving NT a short field FG to tie. ODU was SOD 4th-and-1 at the O48 and NT was in EZ 4 plays later for 45-38 lead halfway through the 4th. ODU’s final two drives were SOD 4th-and-1 at N43 and 4th-and-1 at O32. 460-386 (6.0-4.6) TY for NT. Fine 25-36-309-1-1. Williams 21-35-181-0-2, 55y rushing. Cox 24-109-TD. ODU’s Harper had 265 all-purpose-yards with 2 KO ret TDs.

30-12 UAB shut out SM in the second half. SM hit a 84y TD bomb on the first play of the game, xpt blk’d. 6-0. UAB responded with a TD and SM kicked 25 and 31y FGs, SM stopped a UAB FG att to close the half with a 12-7 Eagle lead HT. The second half was all UAB with 2 TDs and a FG. SM starting QB Howard was benched in the 4th qrt for Griggs, Griggs threw a pick-six with :35 left. SM was had just 27y on their first 4 drives of the 2nd half. 21-14 FD and 417-347 (5.3-5.4) for UAB. UAB was 10 of 19 3rd down, SM just 29%. UAB QB Erdely 16-29-208-1-0 (sacked 3x). One of UTEP’s TDs was a 40y drive setup off an INT ret, UTEP earlier threw an INT at the UTSA5 after a 57y drive. Not a good second half for Miners, as they only had 67y in the second half. 22-10 FD and 393-243 (5.5-4.4) TY for Roadrunners. Sturm 18-30-188-1-1. 3 UTSA RBs had 60-70y rushing. 58-17 Toledo got off to a slow start with only 3 pts on their first 4 drives and actually trailed 3-7. Then the flood gates opened; 71y TD run, 35y TD pass, 67y TD pass, 88y TD pass, 87y punt ret TD and 1y and 63y TD runs to make the score 51-10 near the end of the 3rd qrt. Due to all the big plays FD even at 16. TY 602-309 (11.6-3.7) for UT. Woodside 8-17-267-3-0. Swanson 11-109-TD. BSU started Soph QB Zack Blair, but he broke his ankle on the 2nd drive. They turned to 4th string rFr Drew Plitt 15-34-97-0-0 (sacked 3x). A strange stat, UT was just 1 of 8 on 3rd down. BSU was 3 of 19.

30-27 Northern Illinois wins on TD run in OT sending EM to their 6th straight loss by 23 combined pts (3 in OT, all 6 loses essentially come on final play). NIU scored first with a 69y TD pass in the 2nd qrt. EM responded next play with a 69y TD. EM blk’d a punt for a TD. Just before HT EM missed a 50y FG. 14-7. A 10p 64y NIU drive for FG opened the 3rd qrt. EM would miss a second FG, but then make one after a fumble recovery. 17-10. Early in the 4th EM used a trick play, backward pass to WR who threw to the TE for the 24-10 lead. NIU hit a 50y pass and 6 plays later were in the EZ to trail only 17-24. With 7-1/2 min left EM started trying to kill clock, only burned 2m and punted. NIU punted back and EM was still in clock kill mode, went 3-and-out, but their punt was blk’d and caught be an NIU player just randomly standing around who ran it to the 11. 2 plays later the game was tied with NIU’s second TD 4-1/2m apart. With under 3m left. EM had gone 3-and-out on their previous 3 drives (rushed 7 out of 9 plays), they turned the O back on and drove to the E32 (helped by PI), they ran all the time down but missed a 42y FG as time expired (3rd miss of game). There was zero energy on the EM sideline to start OT while all the NIU players were jumping around. In OT EM went 3-and-out, made a FG and NIU scored a TD in 3 plays for the win. 408-402 TY for EM. Childers 23-40-283-2-0, leading rusher 59y. Roback 22-44-267-1-0.

UM QB Ford threw a pick-six, but chasing the play he was blind side blk’d and a penalty took the TD of the board and Ap would have to punt. Ford left the field on a stretcher with Comis replacing him. Later in the 2nd qrt UM’s Young broke a 95y TD run. Then an INT set Ap up for a 4p 39y TD drive. 17-14 HT Minutemen. Yes.

Thank you.

Had no idea how dominant that Texas State game was but I sure did like it.

Arky St had a two-point conversion up 30-21...was that a botched snap or an actual play? I aam just curious as the TT closed at 37 or 37.5 (went way up from open).

ULM finally has run out of some of their luck. No bet there but was hoping for OT.

I missed it live. My best guess is it would be a bad snap, but that is a guess. Punter is their holder, he had the pass att.

I'd also point out that they the main play in that drive was a long pass by tailback Akers.

Big Ten

35-14 Michigan O struggled again early while the D dominated. In the 1st qrt OKorn underthrew an out for INT and mishandled a shotgun snap resulting in a 13y sack and dropped another snap. He did lead a TD drive thanks to the running game. OKorn finished 3-6-13-0-1 on four possessions, enter Brandon Peters who went 3 of 3 for 37y on his first possession leading to a TD. At HT Mich led 21-7 with 250-111 TY edge, 76 of Rut’s yards came on a Grant direct snap “wildcat” TD run. Their other 20 plays netted 35y! For the game half of Rut’s possession netted negative yards. Mich 25-9 FD, 471-195 TH (6.6-4.1). Mich was SOD at R28 and missed a 36y FG. Mich D 5 sacks, 11 TFL. Peters 10-14-124-1-0. Higdon 18-158-2TD. Isaac 14-109. Rescigno 8-16-101-0-0.

24-10 Wisconsin built a 14-0 lead while ILL fumbled and threw INT on 2 of their first 4 drives. ILL had a nice drive with 1st-and-goal at W8, but settled for 28y FG. UW took over with :39 left but were not content to go into HT yet. Hornibrook connected on 2 chunk passes to the I34 and Gaglianone nailed a career long 52y FG (was iced 3x). 17-3. UW’s first 3 drives of the second half did not cross midfield. Their 4th was a 8p 57y drive capped by an OL Tackle screen TD play. ILL’s only TD came with :49 left. 19-17 FD, 303-286 TY (4.7-4.5). Badger D got 5 sacks. Dakota Dixon UW’s leading tackler DNP, Jonathan Taylor DNP play in the second half with a leg injury (precautionary?). Hornibrook 10-19-135-0-1. Taylor 12-77. George and Thomas both QB’d for ILL, comb’d 9-31-152-0-2. Thomas led Illini rushing 78y.

39-31 Northwestern in 3OT. MSU went up 7-0 on opening drive. Each team fumbled deep in opp territory. 10-0 MSU before NW drove 13p 81y with a 4th down QB sneak TD. Then kicked a 35y FG to tie right before HT. 10-10. MSU was backed up at their own 7, but drove 60y with two 3rd down and a 4th-and-3 conversion but missed a 51y FG off the upright. Scoreless 3rd. NW took the lead on a Justin Jackson 12y TD pass early in the 4th. MSU had 1st-and-10 at the N12, but missed a 32y FG midway through 4th (off upright again). MSU got the ball back at their own 12 with 3m left and they drove 12p 88y converting a 4th down along the way and got a 13y TD pass to Davis to tie. 17-17. Thorson had an easy TD pass in OT1 and MSU found Davis for TD. OT2 Lewerke threw another TD pass and Jackson ran one in. OT3 NW got a 22y 3rd down TD reception with 2 pt conv. On 2nd down Lewerke was stripped, he recovered the fumble and rolled out and thew an illadvised pass to a well covered receiver with a second DB coming over and it was INT’d. FD even at 28, MSU 540-432 (6.2-5.5) TY. MSU's missed FGs came after 60+y drives. Thorson 33-48-356-2-0. Jackson 17-41-TD rushing. Lewerke 39-57-445-4-1, leading rusher with just 30y. Paddy Fisher 17 tkl with 2 forced fumbles and 2 qbh.

42-39 Maryland was a crazy and game and Maryland raises the bar they are known for with ugly uniforms. Ramsey opened 12-14-110-2TD and IU had 14-0 lead 6m into the game (UM threw INT on 2nd play). Then Ramsey threw a INT. Next play UM had 14y TD. IU punt was downed at the 3 and IU got a safety 2 plays later. 16-7. UM blk’d a punt for TD. IU converted multiple 3rd downs on their way to a 23-14 lead. Two 15y IU penalties aided UM down the field and a 23-21 game. UM was at the 50 with 1:32 left, Bortenschlager hit some passes and they got a TD with :37 left. HT 28-23 Terps, but plays were 54-22, 20+m to 9m TOP and IU had over 100 more yards yet trailed. Ty Johnson busted a 46y run, but UM’s 37y FG was blk’d. Ramsey was knocked out of the game on roughing the passer and Lagow came in, threw 11y TD pass first throw. 30-28 IU. Ramsey came back in, was roughed again still led them to a 33y FG. 33-28. UM’s Leake got a 82y KO ret and a few plays later TD to lead 35-33. Ramsey was injured again. UM went 7p 64y TD...42-33. Lagow took them right down 74y for TD (xpt blk’d). Some punts. With 2m left IU was at their own 1, they were SOD at the I37. IU 35-18 FD, 483-345 (5.0-6.2), 36-22 TOP. UM was penalized 12x for 133y (gave IU 7 FD by penalty), IU 7x penalty for 70y. IU 11 of 23 3rd down, UM 3 of 8. UM D 5 sacks, IU D 3. Bortenschlager 10-16-171-2-1. Johnson 13-91. Moore 4-77-TD. 39-38 Ohio State overcame a lot. Barkley returned the opening KO, OSU fumbled on their first possession and trailed 14-0. OSU went three-and-out on their second possession, but PSU punted. OSU was in the RZ but penalties and a sack had them kick a FG. OSU was later at the P25 and went for it on 4th-and-8, but were SOD. PI kept a PSU drive alive and Barkley raced 36y for 21-3 Nits lead. OSU drove for TD, just when they had some momentum a short KO was ret’d to the O23! OSU D got an INT in the EZ, but a holding penalty on OSU DB gave PSU the ball back and McSorely ran it in 28-10. PSU later returned the favor, being called for PI in the EZ on 3rd down and OSU cut into the lead with a TD. 28-17 HT. 244-130 (6.3-4.3) TY for OSU. Bucks opened the 3rd with a FG. 28-20. McSorley threw deep and the ball appeared to be INT’d in the EZ and ruled as such. On replay you could see the OSU DB actually assisted the PSU WR make the catch and only wrestled the ball away once on the ground. 35-20 PSU. OSU would blk a punt and Barrett hit a wide open Dixon for 38y TD with 11m left. In a game like this the next possession is the most critical and as such PSU was driving looking to add to the lead, had a first-and-goal at the O7, but two McSorley rushes and a Barkley 3y loss resulted in a 24y FG with 6m left. A key moment keeping OSU in the game down just 2 scores. 38-27. 20y in PSU penalties helped OSU march 76y for a 10y TD pass with 4:20 left. 38-33 (2pt no good). Bucks D forced three-and-out from 3 Barkley runs (went backwards) and OSU had a chance with 3m at their own 42. The PSU D folded and OSU was in the EZ in less than 1-1/2 minutes with the lead (2pt no good). McSorley was sacked and threw 3 incompletions to end the game. FD 27-17, TY 529-283 (6.8-4.4) for OSU. Barrett 33-39-328-4-0, leading rusher with 95y. McSorley 17-29-192-2-0, leading rusher with 49y. Barkley 21-44-TD (long 36), 4rec 23y. OSU D 12 TFL.

17-10 Iowa went 5p 80y to open for TD, then gained only 78y on their next 7 first half drives (did fumble at M21). Min was SOD at I7 after a 68y drive and after an INT was set up with a short field, but they gave INT back from I14 (0-for-2 on those two RZ chances). Iowa opened the second half with a 5p 67y TD for 14-0 lead while Min gained just 23y on their first 3 drives of the 3rd. In the 4th Min did go 8p 45y for TD and Iowa kicked a FG 17-7, followed by a Min FG. 17-10. Min never threatened again. FD even at 15. Iowa 315-281 (5.2-3.9) TY. Iowa D 4 sacks. Stanley 15-27-190-1-1. Croft 9-29-139-0-1.

25-24 Nebraska mostly behind 4 Drew Brown FGs of 44, 21, 37, 25 yards. 3-0 Neb end of 1st qrt, then Pur scored TD and Neb answered with FG. 7-6. Pur converted 3rd down 3x on their way to 14-6 lead just before HT. Those 3rd down conversion were their only ones of the half. Pur 181-151 first H yard edge. Neb kicked 2 FGs, Pur 1. 17-12 Boilers end of 3rd. Pur faked a punt, but Neb got called for PI and soon after Pur 24-12 lead just into the 4th. 15-14 Stanford ruled out Bryce Love and they dearly missed him. OSU did a lot of things bad teams do to not win games like this and Stanford was right there with them with poor play and errors. After a 6y Beaver punt to O28, Stan missed a 34y FG. Early in the 2nd qrt Stan capped a 13p 62y drive for 40y FG. 3-0. OSU responded 12p 75y with a TD. With :57 left in the half Garretson fumbled for OSU, Stan recovered at the O16 leading to a 33y FG. 7-6 Beavs HT. To open the 3rd OSU was stopped on 3rd down, but a Stan player ripped a Beaver helmet off giving OSU a free first down. 2 plays later Stan was called for roughing passer with targeting, 2 plays later OSU had a 14-6 lead. Stan threw an INT at the O33. OSU drove to the S34 and attempted a 52y FG which was short. In OSU’s last game their K was short on a 52y FG in that game too, don’t know why they tried that distance again. His career long is 40y, he has more distance than that, but 52 is too far. From there Stan had a 42y TD pass called back by penalty and they kicked a 40y FG. 14-9. Stan roughed the punter, and OSU had a first down at S39, but went backwards and punted. Stan went three-and-out twice. With 3:31 left OSU started moving the ball and killing clock. A first down with 2:38 Nall was stripped and Stan recovered at the O40! They faced 4th-and-10 when Chryst connected with Smith for a very tough contested catch to keep the drive alive. 5 plays later they had the lead with :24 left. OSU was able to move to the S44, but the hailmary was INT’d. 20-12 FD and 264-222 (4.2-3.7) TY for OSU. Stan 8 pen for 81y, 4 OSU FDs were by way of penalty. Chryst 16-33-141-1-1. Scarlett 17-72. Garretson 13-21-126-0-1. Nall 19-87.

44-28 Colorado with their backs against the wall puts together their best game, with Montez who arguably may’ve played the best game of his career. CU got ontop 7-0 with 73y drive highlighted by Lindsay 39y run and 3rd-and-17 conversion. Cal came back with a 75y drive capped by a WR Wharton to Noa TD pass. A 3rd-and-18 conversion and 58y pass led to a 14-7 Buffs lead. A 96y CU drive highlighted by 21y and 65y passes. 21-7. 24-7. After converting 4th down Cal got back in the EZ 24-14 late in the 2nd. CU wasn’t done and got a 39y FG as time expired. 27-14 HT. A scoreless 3rd led to another CU TD drive with a 23y pass. 34-14. Cal gave themselves some hope with 8-1/2 left on a 5p 84y TD drive, but CU added a FG to make it a 16 pt game. CU then got a 100y pick-six return (officially, actually 109y) before Cal added a late TD for the final. CU was 11 of 17 3rd down, Cal 8 of 17. CU D had as many sacks (4) as they did in their previous 6 games. Cal D did record 3. 27-26 FD, 553-435 (6.9-5.6) TY for CU. Montez 20-26-347-3-0. Lindsay 33-161. Fields 4-101-TD. Bowers 29-52-359-3-1. Laird 13-52. Veasy 7-111-TD, Noa 7-108-2TD.

44-23 Washington and UCLA both kicked FGs 3-3 (both teams had drives kept alive by 3rd down 15y penalties). UW went 9p 70y with 8 rushes and a 35y completion for 10-3 lead. UCLA came back with a balanced rush/pass drive for TD, but xpt no good. 10-9. UW D clamped down as Bruins would go 3-and-out on 6 of their next 7 drives and only ran 1 play in UW terr (from the 49). 82y KO ret set up UW for 17-9 lead. Gaskin keyed another TD drive for 20-9 lead HT. In the 3rd UW was running easy, but Browning threw INT at U32. The running game continued to dominate with 34 and 33y runs …27-9. UW had 1st down at U13, but kicked a 24y FG. Rosen had an injury to his throwing hand and his backup fumbled and UW got a 2p 18y TD out of it 37-9 near end of 3rd. Each team got TDs to open the 4th. UW had the backups in and fumbled, UCLA scooped 51y for D TD with 2m left. 24-15 FD, 442-232 (6.3-3.8) for UW with 58 att 333y rushing (most rushing in last 16 games for Huskies). Browning just 8-11-98-0-1. Rosen 12-21-93-1-0 (sacked 4x).

41-20 Oregon snapped out of their 3 game losing streak while Utah went O-fer October. Ore led 7-0 on opening drive. Utah had 1st down at O19, but two penalties a TFL and a sack saw them punt from the 41! Utah would recover a fum at O21 leading to a 23y FG. 7-3. Ore had long drive for 23y FG. On first down near midfield former Ore WR Carrington was welcomed back to Autzen, stripped and Ducks ran 47y for D TD. 17-3. Utah would have 1st down at O16, but kicked 16y FG. 159-126 first H yard edge for Ore but they led by 14 pts. Utes cut it to 13-17 to open the 3rd. Ore was running well, but had a drive stall and kicked a 38y FG to go back up by 7. Utah would then miss a 42y FG and Ore faced 3rd-and-13 Charles Nelson took a reverse and threw a 22y TD pass. 27-13 near end 3rd. In the 4th Ore opened with a 6p 85y TD drive, followed by 6p 75y Utah TD drive. 34-20. Utah’s next two drives were SOD at the U43 and U25 with 3m left and Ducks would score their final TD from there. Utah SOD at U40 to end. Utah 20-19 FD, Ore 416-384 (6.7-5.3) TY with Ducks rushing for 347 (7.1) to Utah’s 91 (3.0). Most rushing y allowed by Utes since 2009. Ore 46-29% 3rd down and Duck D 4 sacks. Burmeister 9-12-47-1-0 – yes 47 passing yards (Nelson threw 22y). Freeman 20-139, Brooks-James 6-105. Huntley 25-43-293-2-0, 46y rushing. Moss 10-53. Carrington 9-130.

58-37 Arizona led 20-7 with WSt O sputtering and after back-to-back three-and-outs Leach benched Falk for Hilinski with 3m left in the first half. He hit 7 of 8 and made it 20-14 Zona. The drive before Tate had an 84y run ruled a TD on the field, but as he dove for the EZ replay showed his foot to hit out-of-bounds at the 2, they would settle for a 25y FG. Arz kicked a 57y FG at time expired for 23-14 lead. WSt threw INT, but Arz fumbled it back and WSt got a TD (xpt no good) to make it just a 3 pt game. Tate threw an INT that was ret’d to A29 and WSt got a 3rd down TD to lead 27-23. Taylor broke off a 62y run and would have a 3y TD rush next play then WSt threw back-to-back INTs, the later in the EZ on 1st down. Taylor busted a 79y run and it was lights out 37-27, Tate 49y TD run, Zona D 66y pick-six for 51-30 lead. WSt got a 49y TD pass then Arz got a 68y TD pass. WSt was SOD at A21 and ran out of time at A8. WSt 32-18 FD, 646-585 (6.4-11.5) TY edge. WSt passed 58-84-602 (7.2 ypa). Arz passed 10-17-275 (16.2 ypa). Arz had 310 (9.1) RY. Tate 421 pass/rush yards, 3 TD.

48-17 USC jumped out 7-0, then did have two 3-and-outs, but ASU had a hard time getting much going. It was just 7-3 when USC faced 3rd-and-12 at their own 23, with the play clock running down SC took a timeout and ASU DL jumped the line as the refs were blowing the whistle, he delivered a blow to Darnold’s midsection, but you could tell he also was not trying to knock him down. Refs threw a flag awarding SC witih automatic 1st down. On the next play same player was called for another 15y penalty and he was yanked. SC would go on to score a TD that drive 14-3. ASU went 3-and-out then SC’s Jones broke a 67y run and the game was mostly decided. Was 28-3 when USC kicked 51y FG with :45 left. Bizarre end to the first half. Wilkins got in position to throw hailmary which was caught with the WR in the air coming out of the EZ to make the catch. It was ruled caught, but short of goaline on the field and both teams went into their locker rooms. The play went under review and somehow they determined that the ball did still cross the plane and it was a TD. It took several minutes for SC to come out onto the field with Helton berating the refs the entire time. 31-10 HT. ASU had a chance in the second half, the converted a 4th-and-1 and went 75y for TD to trail by 14. SC had a 54y TD pass called back, but next play Jones ripped a 64y to end any hope Devils had. 38-17. SC started pulling starters end of 3rd and Darnold only played 1 series into the 4th. 29-15 FD and 607-357 (7.5-5.9) TY for Trojans. SC 7 of 15 3rd down, ASU 1 of 12. Darnold 19-35-266-3-0 (sacked 3x). Jones 18-216. Wilkins 17-29-259-1-0 (sacked 6x). Richard 15-70. K Williams 7-121-TD. ASU LB Christian did have 15 tkl, 2 sacks, forced fumble.
