My goodness, this season is flying!
Onto Week #7 here in the ole Conference of Champions, the B1G!
Complete domination up in Minneapolis by Ohio State. That was Sayin's best game so far. Highly efficient!
Almost 1000 yards of offense in West Lafayette. The Boilers' defense is bad, but goodness, what happened to Illinois? Either way, a win is a win. This was a much-needed 2h over for myself to offset the posted losses.
I have a confession. I bet Maryland while at the tailgate. We all liked it all week. This was the right side and cashed. BUT, I had no clue they lost until the 'what have we learned' thread last night. Holy smokes. Brutal. Maryland couldn't run the ball, and that's a big issue when protecting a lead. Killer 3rd down conversion rate by the Terps.
Nebraska and Michigan State was one for the weird category. These teams combined for 501 yards of offense. Michigan State averaged 3.5 ypp. Three turnovers for the Spartans. Chiles has been very good this season, UNTIL this game. All that being said, Sparty led this game 21-14 in the 2nd half after 3 straight TD's.
Okay, time to talk Penn State and UCLA...
WTF.
Listen, I understand the hangover factor for the Nittany Lions. I understand zero motivation to play an awful team. I also understand playing on the West Coast. Still, giving up 300 or so yards in the 1st half is inexcusable. You have to wake up earlier in the game. Coaching matters, and at some point, the fans have to ask for a bit more at that position. Now, UM and OSU fans are happy enough for Frames to hang on in Happy Valley. All that being said, I appreciate that free money on the 2h TT at 19.5 and 20.5. Thanks!
Lastly, time to talk about everyone's favorite CFB team, the Michigan Wolverines!
A good friend of mine was able to hook me up with some killer tickets about 24 hours before kick-off. Early rise, but what a great time down in Ann Arbor. I'll admit, I only care to go to CFB games outdoors with temps above 60 degrees. This one qualified, at 86 degrees. Fabulous day at the Big House! As far as the game goes... some good and some bad...
Bryce didn't always have a lot of time, but he became better and better as the game went on. A few of those sideline throws were incredible!
Justice Haynes may have been the best free agent pick-up as far as skill positions go in America. He becomes stronger as the game goes on.
McCulley's breakout game was much needed!
Michigan has a 'first drive' issue that needs correcting. The last two games, they have given up long drives inside the 10.
Wisconsin QB made some nice throws when given time.
Luke gave up on this game with the score 24-7. The Wolverines score a TD with 9:41 left to take a 3-score lead. Wisconsin then goes on a drive that took nearly 7 minutes to complete! There was no sense of urgency after going into UM territory. They threw in 2-3 runs as well. The play clock ran down several times. Thirteen plays! The FG was inevitable. That 3rd down sack was a great play, but also ensured a FG try. There goes the cover on full game bets. My group won a few live bets to recover a bit, but we wanted it all!!
As far as that hurry-up at the end of the game, uh, I have no clue. I was halfway into the tunnel as that happened. Maybe no love lost?

Onward to Week #7!
Rutgers heading out to Washington on Friday night has all the feels! Do remember the Huskies have Michigan in Ann Arbor on deck. Also remember we love Huskies overs and have been eyeing this game for a bit with that Rutgers defense.
Ohio State on the road again, this time at Illinois. Thoughts on this Illini defense? I do feel like we might find a team total or two for OSU moving forward due to their lower scoring ways at some point. I'm sure the Illini will be fired up, but they don't have the horses.
I've been eyeing this Michigan State and UCL A game since halftime of the game this pas Saturday out at The Rose Bowl. This feels like one helluva letdown spot. Meanwhile, homecoming for the Spartans off a brutal offensive performance in Lincoln. The MSU program could use a bowl game and these are the types of game they have to win. This line has risen a bit, but I think I may play it.
The Oregon and Indiana game is perfect for capping the rest of the season for both teams. The Ducks defense was so impressive at PSU. Can they put on a show at home to a hot Indy offense. Meanwhile, a showcase game for the Ducks QB Dante Moore. This is a great watch and live bet game for myself. I'm really looking forward to this one!
Penn State will get back into the win column at home vs Northwestern. The question is whether they take out their frustrations or this is Hangover 2.0?
Same situation in College Park for the Terps. This Nebraska team is a bit better this year, but not ready to crack that top 4 of the conference. They need to win these types of games. Is Maryland ready to get up off the mat @Timh ?
Iowa and Wisconsin renew their rivalry in Madison. This should be a grind it out game that goes into the 4th quarter. I know we've had a lot of success with Iowa overs the past 1.5 years but in a clock grinding game I am in no rush to bet that.
Much like the Rutgers and Minnesota game a few weeks ago we have a really bad defense heading up to face the Gophers. I am not pregame ready to bet the Minny TT but I will be tracking this one!
Michigan heads out the SoCal to face the Trojans... a few quick bullet points and then we'll talk more in-depth!
-Michigan struggles on the West Coast, historically.
-Total is only slightly higher than the MSU-USC game that we murdered a few weeks ago
-USC is #2 in the nation in total offense
-Michigan #36 in the nation in total offense
-Michigan #18 in the nation in total defense
-Kick off temp will be 76 degrees
-Michigan is leaving a day early for this trip. Interesting and I like it. Just watch curfew!
I have a play here that I really like. I need to cap this a bit more. I have watched several USC games this year so I feel pretty good about the cap here. I'm just not all the way there yet. This should be a FANTASTIC game!
