Bears jump out at me. Maybe because they're my home team or maybe because their run D is beastly. ATL is alright, no doubt, but Chi is a TD better IMO.

RAVENS +6- Ravens are a tough, tough club and the Colts certainly have no business holding six or a physical defensive minded team like the Ratbirds.

BEARS -2.5- Bears should have the defense to keep Ryan off balance and enough offense to put away the Falcons.

DOLPHINS +3-You just have to wonder how Houston will have anything left emotionally after choking two games against rivals in the final minutes. Miami has showed enormous improvement and are building confidence every week. The Texans have had a brutal schedule and are better than their record suggests, but I think this is a terrible spot for them and a great one for the Dolphins.

ARIZONA ML- The Boyz have zero discipline in their secondary. Have fun with that against Arizona on the road.

CHARGERS -5.5- Lots of coast to coast travel for the Patriots here. The Chargers are going to be pissed for numerous reasons, and I don't see New England being competitive in this game.

Agreed. The Rams are that bad and I'm not sure why it's a good idea to put money on them here. The Skins are legit.
 
At +6 then I would change to leaning the Ravens becuase with all those backs they will control TOP and there defense will make life tough for a still struggling Colts offense .

Its not about legit or not but the fact is Wash is not an explosive offensive . Its going to be tough for them to cover big spreads especially 2 TDs vs anyone. The play the game correctly but they are simply better then teams like a Dallas is or NE was by just showing up that day . They still need to execute for 60 minutes on both sides of the ball. Is there hope in STL ?? Before that 4th quarter meltdown they were in position to win vs Buffalo . The new coach and bye week should help motivate them further . People were telling me how had it was gonna be for Wash after winning @ Dallas to win @ Philly so to me that logic applies here . Two huge road divisional wins and you get a team who is in disarray . Still stick to the Eagles not being that good of a team and Skins won by whole 2 points at Dallas .

I think in football teams especially in the NFL shake off tough losses . It does happen when you lose a tough game that some teams come out flat the following game but its rare . It could apply due to the spectular nature of the loss but what really bodes well for Houston is they get to play again at home.

Miami you still cant say they have a reliable FG kicker which is huge on a team who doesnt have an explosive offense . They cant afford to waste to 6 minute 65 yd drives and get no points . Houston just did a very good holding the Colts offense down and that cant be lost when it faces an easier task in Miami . Houston lost the game and they didnt get beat IMO . For as well Miami played and clearly outplayed SD they were 1 yd away from losing that game. Teams cant outplay opponents by wide margins and lose or hang on to win always a bad omen .

Patriots are staying in northern CA to practice this week, so cross-country travel will not be a factor. A Belichick-coached team will always be competitive.

Like the Jags as well. taylor + mjd + denver's run defense = jax clock control

jax can also defend the pass, so cutler will have to work hard to succeed.
 
Bears/Falcons under really intrigues me.

Both teams from Ohio could be live dog's this week.

Love the seahawks giving less than a Field Goal here.

broncos/Jags over. redemption from last week for getting skullfucked in the denver/tampa game.

I really dont think the Vikings should be laying 2 TDs here.
 
Sportsnut, my strongest play is on the Giants. Why the play on the Browns? Monday nite home dog? I don't think this game is competitive by the 4th quarter.

As impressive as the Giants were this week what I took away is that SEA is that bad . It wasnt so much NY being that good as SEA just being terrible in every facet of the game . While it was a comfortable win and NY held the Rams offense in check I dont think they played that well @ STL. Which the Browns are a much and I mean much tougher team especially on the defensive side of the ball.

What is impressive about the Giants really so far being 4-0 ? They got the Skins in the opener and that was not the same team Skins playing well now . It was the still timid and confused Skins offense . They won at home 16-7 made some plays early and then didnt do much after the first 25 minutes or so . The Bengals went toe to toe with them . Is there much difference bewteen a ghealthy Bengals team and a Browns team ? I dont think so and the meeting was lined 3.5 before Palmer was injured .

I think Cle played Pitt very well and better execution and they win . I think the Dallas game got away from them when Edwards dropped the sure and easy long TD in the 2nd Q plus it was the opener cant weigh week 1 that heavily . The Browns get some players back Tucker on the OL , Stallowrth his season debut is so important and also McGinest .

Just at the moment think the line above -4 is crazy . Cleveland has played very sound defense all season and have the bye week to get there offensive together . Dont see NYG as being properly lined at home vs Cle at -13.5 ,-14 , -14.5....maybe -10 as I could see NY about -6 to -7 on a neutral field ...

Browns just arent that bad of a team and they play the important ingreidnt defense . Take out this Seahawks game and NY scored 17 , 26 in OT and really just 27 @ STL ....if they get 24 here hard to believe that Cle cant get 17 .....and getting 24 is no lock for them IMO ....:shake:

GB qb Rogers playing with bum shoulder has no zip on deep routes and one solid hit away from rookie backup Flynn in loud hostile environment vs a desperate revenge minded team that was embarrassed last week in NY.

GB in trouble on both sides of the ball in running game....D line getting worn down in 2nd halves...attrition taking its toll early in the season..loss of Jenkins ( missed last week....out for year...was grading out as top DL prior to injury ) a major blow to a team that lacks depth in DL. Pass rush specialist KGB without a sack and really not many pressures besides...dont think hes 100 % healthy by any stretch. LB Hawk played last week with inj. and was ineffective...SS Bigby has missed last 3...hes the hard hitter who is excellent in run support..DB Harris still out with spleen inj...punter is another issue..if you cant beat Atlanta at home vs a rookie QB then how can you expect to win a road game unless youre playin at Detroit
 
I respect your opinion but I think you're on the wrong side. This game is a mismatch. I've watched the Browns and their offense is terrible. They don't protect the QB and that is a major issue in this game. The game vs the Bengals is deceiving. The Bengals gave the Cowboys a difficult time also. Cincy isn't as bad as their record indicates. The Browns are that bad. Giants are at least 2 TD's better than the Browns. We have a scenario here where the best team in the NFL is playing against probably the 3rd worst team. The line is too low. I see a 31-10 type of game. GL!
 
-Tend to agree on the Jax secondary its weak with the injuries but the adjustment they made getting James out of there and switching the personel around seemed to be alot more productive on there end. Plus what ails the Jags pass defense is they dont pressure the QB as there sacks are low. Look at how bad Pitt was and most of there pressure and sacks can when Marvell Smith went to the locker room with cramps. Think it may not be entirely as bad as it looked vs Pitt but now on the road vsa better pass offense , OL and more WRs to worry about .

-Thats okay Wiseplayer. I dont put that much stock in what has occurred with some of these teams as it often changes widely week to week . I really feel till date there are only 2 bad teams in the NFL week in week out the Rams and Lions with STL getting a get out of jail free card for a few weeks with the new HC . After that there are a bunch of teams who are all just lumped into the same level of play IMO.

Cle to me is just struggling . The clear struggle of there offense has been no second WR to take the pressure off the inconsistent Braylon Edwards and Kellen"the Soldier " Winslow . Last year they had Joe Jurevicius with 50 receptions and a reputation as a solid WR . This year they have no one LITERALLY. Syndric Steptoe??? Who is he is beating ? Just 7 catches and 58yds .

So its pretty simply double Edwards and shadow Winslow and then what type of passing game do you have ?? Factor in they have faced Pitt , @ Balt and even a solid Bengals defense the past 3 weeks and IMO the offensive woes are easily explained . That what makes Donte Stallworth so important. If they continue to double Braylon then Stallworth can beat them especially with a saftey looking out for Winslow . So his presence then frees each one up for single coverage .

On top of the absence of Stallworth a key spark in Joshua Cribbs has been hobbled and missed some time to date . He could have helped in the passing game but his explosiveness that allows great starting field position was gone.

Ryan Tucker will return bettering the OL as well. McGinest should also play and give the defense a boost .

Something I thought forgotten about was how Cle was embarrassed on national TV this preseason vs the Giants for a half . The game where DA was concussed but the Browns showed heart and rallied in the 2nd H . Rememebr this was NYG 1st home game since winning the SB even if a preseason game it was still big for them to play at home in front of there fans. Guess it hasnt been that forgotten.....

The only bad effort the defense had was vs Dallas and well when Dal is clicking it will make alot of teams look bad. I still say the ley play was Braylon Edwards dropping that wide open long pass that was a sure TD as Cle just never recovered . Supposedly Edwards has been pressing to much another reason why Stallworth is so important .

The Giants . I just dont see great football each week for 4 quarters . They smoked SEATTLE but they also had alot to prove and NYG likes to have that chip on there shoulders . Them against the world mentality works well for them . They wanted to show Plax they could play well w/o him just like they did with Tiki and Strahan . They wanted to show they could play well after the BYE WEEK something that has long been an achilles heel. They had a West Coast team in the 1PM slot . They have a SEA team who is close to terrible . Look at Buffalo , SF and NYG games. They dint have Branch for long , Hasselback and Jones were both banged up they lost Kelly Jennings early and didnt make any plays . they had chances but the offense didnt make plays.

Cincy went to NYG and gave them a game. Was it impressive of course it was . To say Cincy is any better then Cle though is a toug swallow for me . Last game CLE was set to play @ Cincy as +3.5 dogs so indicates equal teams doesnt it ?? The truth is CLE might not be equal without STallworth in but the teams are very close IMO . CIncy has the better offense and Cle the better defense. The Rams game they didnt do that many impressive things . The Rams battled and maybe got some fluky points but it still was a game regardless with 10 to play in the 4th Quarter. The Skins game was what Eli tends to be and the NYG tends to be . Look great for spurts and then disappear . They won 16-7 vs a team who couldnt get a 1st down vs any defene. They couldnt score in the final 2 games of preseason. There is nothing about that Skins team that is remotely comparable to the Skins team today outside of WASHINGTON on there uniforms. They played 1 complete game and had 4 weak opponents .

I just dont see how Cle is +7.5 at home on MNF ...being the best team in the NFL's current state is like being the coolest guy in 8th grade . WHo cares ??

The key is does Stallworth play and play at near 100% . If he does I may ride the ML. No way I believe the Browns are on of the 3 worst teams in the NFL ...

Just my take on the game who knows come Monday I may be wrong but just love underacheiving HOME DOGS who can play on TV and get quick redemption . Like the bills vs Dallas or the Cardinals vs Bears ....:cheers:

-As for SEATTLE that team is terrible . GB has issues no doubt but wow SEA is terrible . Wont have Branch , Hasselback has a bum knee along with the back that ailed him in camp. Colbert still doesnt make plays and Engram is a nice possession WR . Rodgers looked fine vs ATL it was the defense that killed them and who plays for GB and how they feel going in is important but SEA is very close to joining the bottomfeeders . GB also hurt themselves missing a FG before half that was initially good buta 10yd penalty moved it back . Would have been 7-10 at half . Plus SEA doesnt have Michael Turner . They also dont have a WR who can burn by the DBs like roddy White did....

The flip is what better time to take SEA after that beatdown.Unless the belief is general they will bounce back ......tough sell on Seattle .....:cheers:

Looking at Houston consecutive tough losses the past 2 weeks expect a break through performance or the flat get smoked blowout type perfromance from them. Just dont really expect a pro team to hang there head when they have no wins its not like the losses were crucial . Painful okay .

Miami just catching +3 is not exactly the type team of like in a situation especially away to say they need to win to cash. They beat 2 former super powers in the AFC but also timing was nice . Pats off the hard fought win vs NYJ maybe didnt realize that they needed to do more then just show up that week since it was 2 TD favs over Miami and the Phin slost by 30 something at Zona . Then the early start vs SD which for nearly 3 quarters the Phins crushed SD but still came down to a 4th and goal at the 1 tp preserve the win . So while they outplayed them they also didnt finish them off .

Houstons offense coninues to improve and if not for miscuses at Tenny would have 3 good performances in arow. Miami is making plays on defense and that needs to continue but despite the ppg allowed though Hous defense held up at Jax and then vs Indy who had 10 pts about 7 minutes into the 4th quarter. Thinking UNDER as well ..24-17 texans...:cheers:

I have no leans on a total.These totals came out very close to what I have them at.FUCK. If anything I see more overs this weekend than unders but just can't figure which ones.Its real close from my end.
 
I'll update my leans and plays to date later on this evening . Keep the feedback coming its not a concern of mine people disagree with . I respect the opinions and like reading other ideas . If I disagree big deal it only matters what happens on Sunday .

Anyway looking at this total -

Over 43.5 ATLANTA (buy it 43 if I play it hate hooks and key number)

The only struggles the Falcons have had on offense are really the 1st H @ TB and that was the 1st H of road football for them . They moved the ball much better in the 2nd H . The Carolina game they played well early and then quietly regressed but had some good scoring chances that died in the red zone . The rest of the games vs weak defenses they have put pts on the board .

There defense really is a bend dont break unit as it doesnt have many playmakers in the secondary . So teams can score on them .

Bears offense looks improved although Forte has struggled past two we see Orton playing fairly well . Bears UNIT is very solid on defense but I am not sure if they are a shutdown unit on the road . Playing @ TB and @ CAR seem to be good tests and hopefully being home makes them slightily more productive .

Think both teams get 20 here so 20-20 means 23-20 worst case.....
