Tulane took the opening drive 12p 75y for TD and Memphis answered with a 47y Darrell Henderson TD run 7-7. TU broke a 53y run on 4th down to lead 14-7. Mem punted on their next 3 drives and before the half TU went 15p 71y eating up 7min for a 17-7 HT lead. Mem came out with a 43y TD pass to Henderson…17-14, TU was SOD at M46, but Mem punted. TU ate nearly 6min off the clock, downed a punt at the M05, Mem went 3-and-out punt. TU got a 51y TD pass for a 24-14 lead to close the 3rd qrt. Henderson hesitated and ran the KO out of the EZ and was tackled immediately which led to White getting sacked for a safety…36-14. TU got a 46y TD run…33-14. Mem was SOD at their own 27 and TU got a 25y TD run…40-14. Mem did score TD mid 4th…40-21, TU was SOD at the M26 and with 2min left down 19, Mem kicked a 43y FG, onside kick recovered by TU. 40-24 F. UConn went 5p 75y like a hot knife through butter for a 7-0 lead….and then Cincinnati scored the next 49 pts. Cin 31-19 FD, 659-282 TY (8.0-4.4), 320-101 RY (6.0-3.6). Ridder 20-26-270-2-0, 14y rushing. Warren 13att-106-2TD, 4rec-41y. - Pindell 9-23-125-1-0, 22y rushing.

UCF went up 14-0 on long drives, Pitt returned punt for TD…14-7. UCF rolls with scores on their next 4 possessions plus a SOD at the P04. Pitt would have two drives end in UCF terr on an INT and SOD. Pitt D got a RZ INT and long return, but Pitt roughed the passer and it was called back. 45-14 F. UCF edges 31-16 FD, 568-272 TY (7.2-4.6), 240-109 RY (5.3-3.3), 53-46% 3rd down. Old Dominion – ECU was never more than a one score game. ECU went up 7-0, ODU tied 7-7. ECU went up 14-7, ODU tied 14-14 on a 3p 5y “drive” after a 75y INT ret. ECU went up 21-14, ODU kicked two short FGs 21-20 HT. The lead would change hands several times in the 2nd H. ODU takes lead 27-21 early 3rd, ECU comes back to lead 28-27. ODU would lead 35-28 (2pt good). ECU appears to tie….but xpt blk’d 35-34. ODU goes 3-and-out, ECU goes 3-and-out. ODU ball 2:26 left. ODU is sacked on 3rd down, 3-and-out punt. ECU ball 2min left at their own 33. ECU converts 4th-and-10 to the O24. Next play appears to be an INT on the near sideline by a stretching ODU DB, ruled incomplete on the field, did he get a foot in after bobbling the ball before he goes OOB? Replay upholds incomplete call on the field. ECU starts setting up the FGA, ODU calling TOs…38y FG with :46 left good, 37-35 Pirates. ODU for some reason called their final TO after the receiver got OOB on 1st down. ECU brought pressure the next two plays; sack, sack and fumble or pass? ECU scoops and scores a TD with :05 left? No they rule intentional grounding as LaRussa just tossed the ball away avoiding a sack, penalty carries ten second runoff…37-35 F. Each team threw an INT in opp terr, ECU also threw one near midfield. ECU 25-18 FD, 492-271 TY (5.9-3.8), 179-25 RY (4.7-.6), 39-19% 3rd downs. ECU D had 9 NINE sacks (ODU 2). Herring 24-42-309-3-2. UNC led 3-0, then Miami scored 3 D TDs in the 47-10 rout. NC had 24-14 FD, UM had 354-329 TY (7.7-4.4). UNC was 2-of-13 3rd down, UM was 3-of-6. UM D 3 sacks (NC 2). UNC lost 6 TOs, UM lost 2. Temple and Boston College were tied 7-7 when TU got a scoop-and-score TD to lead 14-7. BC looked to tie, but missed xpt…14-13. TU then went up 21-13, but would throw INTs on back-to-back poss and BC went up 28-21 (2pt good) and added a 26y FG before HT…31-21. Teams exchanged fumbles before BC goes up 38-21 early 3rd. TU responds…38-28. Teams exchange SOD. TU opens 4th qrt with a TD…38-35. Punts, BC gets 4th-and-goal TD late 4th…45-35. TU SOD at own 33, but BC gets a 1st down and takes knees. 45-35 F. Daniel Jones started for Duke and Ryan Willis for VT. Duke punted, VT was SOD at D49. Duke threw INT and VT kicked 28y FG. 3-0. Jones connects for a 23y TD pass 7-3. Willis responds with a 27y TD pass….10-7. VT would not trail again. Duke missed a 43y FG. 17-7 HT. VT went 3-and-out to begin 3rd, but Duke was SOD at midfield. 24-7 VT. Duke made it 24-14 early 4th (converted 4th down on drive). VT converts 4th down on their way to a 31-14 lead. With 5min left Duke put in Harris at QB. Syracuse drove 12p 58y for a 35y FG, Trevor Lawrence fumbled on his second play as a starter and Cuse recovered at the C30 leading to a 51y FG. 6-0. CU got 15y run, but went 4-and-out punt. Cuse goes 3-and-out and Lawrence hit 4 of his first 4 on this drive leading to a 11p 60y TD drive…7-6. Cuse goes 3-and-out again, CU drives 57y but misses a 47y FG early 2nd qrt. Dungey goes 4-of-4 with two rushes and takes a 13-7 lead mid 2nd. Lawrence is knocked out of the game with 4-1/2min left and Cuse drives 14p 75y for a 32y FG and a 16-7 HT lead. CU sticks to the ground, but is sacked on 3rd down and punts to open the 3rd. Cuse punts it back, but CU QB Brice throws INT at own 38. Cuse would lose yards and punt from C42. CU sticks mostly to the ground but does convert a big 3rd-and-8 Renfrow catch leading to a 43y FG. 16-10. CU D gets INT and with ret are at S25, but must settle for a 37y FG. 16-13. Cuse would get a 12y play but go 4-and-out punt…CU muffs the punt and Cuse is set up at the C10 to start the 4th. Cuse gets a 4th down TD run by Dungey and lead 23-13. Brice connects on 16y and 15y passes and Etienne caps it with a 26y TD run for a quick answer…23-20. Cuse has a 4th-and-1 at the C43 and gets a huge reception and conversion, but illegal downfield negates it and Cuse punt mid 4th qrt. Brice is sacked and CU punts. Cuse goes 3-and-out punt with 6min left. CU is driving, they face 4th-and-1, false start, 4th-and-6 and Brice connects with Higgins for 20y to the S32 2+min left. Brice rushes for 17y and Feaster/Etienne finish it off 27-23 CU off a 14p 94y drive :41 left. Cuse final poss goes nowhere. 27-23 F. Bowling Green led 3-0, Georgia Tech scored TDs on their first 7 possessions spanning 1st-3rd qrts, punted on their 8th then scored 2 more TDs in the 4th qrt. BG only had 4 1st H possessions and did score on 2 of them and punted from their own 40-ish twice. In the 2nd H BG turned it over on 3 of their first 4 and was SOD at the G38. Off those TOs GT was able to go 3p 16y “drive” for TD, a 3y pick-six plus a late 62y TD run. 28-10 HT, 63-17 F. BG had 25-23 FD edge. GT had 532-393 TY (9.5-4.5) edge with 372-63 RY (7.6-1.7). 3rd down conv even at 58% each. BG -3TOs (GT did not turn over). GT D 2 sacks. Marshall 5-6-160-0-0, 13att-42 rushing w/2TD. Virginia only crossed midfield once in the 1st H which was on a 8p 67y TD drive. NCSt drove for scores on 4 out of 6 1st H poss including a 6p 22y “drive” after an INT for a 44y FG as time expired in the half…20-7 HT. NCSt went up 27-7 and UVA moved it better in the 2nd H with two long TD drives, SOD at NC21 and an INT at the NC04 in the final seconds of the game….35-21 F. NCSt 25-20 FD, 433-351 TY (6.1-5.5) with 176-93 RY (4.5-3.2), 62-31% 3rd down. UVA -2 TOs. NCSt D 4 sacks (UVA 0). Finley 22-32-257-3-0 RBs: Person 14-108, Gallaspy 14-47-TD. Louisville scored first and maintained a two score lead for a lot of the game leading 21-7 HT and 24-14 entering the 4th qrt. FSU took their first and only lead of the game with 1:13 left and won 28-24. The teams exchanged fumbles in the 2nd qrt and LV’s final two drives ended with INT on 1st down at the F19 and after FSU took the lead LV threw INT on 4th down at the F47 with :36 left. LV 24-16 FD, 421-370 TY (5.1-6.4) with 115-76 RY (3.0-2.5). LV -2 TO margin. FSU was only 3-of-13 3rd down (2-of-3 4th down), LV was 10-of-19 3rd down. FSU D 4 sacks (LV 0). Francois 16-27-294-4-0. Big Ten

Central Michigan opened with a 35y pass and 4 plays later kicked a 40y FG to lead 3-0. CM would not run another play in Michigan State territory until late 3rd qrt and would score 17 4th qrt pts. MSU started slow with 2 punts sandwiched around an INT thrown in the EZ as MSU would not score in the 1st qrt. 3 short fields off an INT, punt ret and another INT led to a 17-3 1st H score. MSU extended the lead 31-3 before CM scored a TD off a 12p 75y drive…31-10 early 4th qrt. CM then onside kicked leading to a 40y FG…31-13. After MSU’s backups didn’t move the ball, CM then went for another TD 31-20 6:44 left. They kicked deep, Lewerke came back in and MSU ended the game a the C24. 31-20 F. MSU edges 23-13 FD, 345-245 TY (4.8-4.3). 170 of CM’s yards were on their final 3 drives. MSU D 3 sacks (CM 2). Lewerke 16-25-185-0-1. Jefferson 13-56-TD, Heyward 15-48-TD. Rutgers opened 7-0 thanks to a 15y penalty that kept the drive alive. Indiana scored 3 straight TDs to lead 21-7, RU was driving when they threw an INT in the EZ and IU took that for a 44y FG right before HT….24-7. Each team had multiple 3rd qrt drives stall near midfield. After an IU fumble, RU got a trick play 39y pass setting up a 3p 55y TD drive….24-14. With 8min left IU threw a 4th down pass INT in the EZ from the R18. RU took that 14p 46y for a 52y FG….24-17 4min left. IU converted a 4th-and-1 at their own 34 and kills the clock. 24-17 F. IU 24-19 FD, 451-291 TY (5.5-4.9), 163-98 RY (3.9-4.3), 61-33% 3rd down. Ramsey 27-40-288-1-1, 51y rushing w/ TD. Scott 18att-58-TD. - Sitkowski 18-35-154-1-1. Blackshear 8att-64. RU downed 3 punts inside the 20.

Nebraska opened with a 10p 75y TD drive. Purdue responded 6p 71y to tie. NU was SOD a the P41 and it was all PU from there taking a 17-7 lead early 2nd qrt. NU would punt on their next 4 poss and not cross midfield. PU made a FG and NU missed one to close the half….20-7. After exchanging punts to start the 3rd the teams would then exchange TDs the next 6 possessions as neither could stop the other, but NU could never get closer than 14 pts. 42-28 F. NU was called for some very costly penalties, 11 for 136y (PU 10-75). NU 31-27 FD, 582-516 TY (7.2-6.5), 259-188 RY (6.6-5.1). Dicaprio Bootle continues to be a bright spot for NU, 3 pbus (leads B1G with 10 pbu).

Northwestern scored on their first 3 poss for a 17-0 lead! Michigan went 3-and-out twice to start the game and were SOD at the N48, but scored a TD going 7p 79y for the 17-7 H score and they own the 2nd H. In the 1st H Thorson was 10-14 passing and sacked just once. In the 2nd H he was 6-13 and sacked 5x. NW had racked up 146y in the 1st H and were held to just 56y in the 2nd. NW didn’t run a play in MU territory in the 2nd H. UM drove to the N05 and N06 but settled for FGs…17-13. On UM’s go-ahead 11p 67y TD drive, Patterson had a couple timely runs as he would on UM’s final clock-killing drive. MU 376-202 TY (5.7-3.2), 180-38 RY (4.3-.8), 44-38% 3rd down. No turnovers. UM D 6 sacks (NW 1). Patterson 15-24-196-0-0, 31net y rushing. Higdon 30att-115-2TD. Winovich leading tkl’r w/ 9 incl 3tfl w/1 sack. UM P had 4 50+ yard kicks - Thorson 16-27-174-0-0. Moten 13-36-TD.

Penn State converted 4th-and-2 on their opening drive, but 4 plays later punted on 4th-and-9 from the O39 (OOB at the 20). Ohio State went 4p punt. PSU was driving, got an outstanding 31y catch by Juwan Johnson to the O17. PSU had a trick play dialed up with a backwards pass to Tommy Stevens who was going to throw, but he mishandled his catch and lost 13y. PSU got a 34y FG out of it…3-0. OSU goes 3-and-out. After a 51y McSorley run, PSU would have 1st down at the O29, but would miss a 46y FG. Each team would go 3-and-out. Haskins threw INT that was ret’d to the O28, on 4th-and-3 PSU kicked a 39y FG…6-0. Punts, OSU downed a punt at the P02 mid 2nd qrt. McSorley found KJ Hammer slanting and he would outrun everyone for a 93y TD…13-0! OSU goes 3-and-out. Teams exchange 3-and-outs. PSU fumbles at their own 25 with 2:32 left in the half. 2 plays later Dobbins took a 26y TD pass in for a 13-7 game. McSorley was stopped just short on a 3rd-and-2 run at midfield and PSU punts with :26 left. PSU had a 293-91 1st H yard edge, but only led 13-7. OSU takes the lead, opening with a 13p 75y TD drive where they converted 4th-and-1 along the way . 14-13. PSU goes 3-and-out and OSU would drive for a 33y FG…but a penalty moves it back and they miss a 48y FG. Both teams go 3-and-out punts. PSU drives 6p 38y, but throws incomplete on 4th-and-1 at the O24 end of 3rd. PSU’s next drive sees a 3rd-and-long conversion to KJ Hamler for 36y and is aided by a 15y penalty and they go 6p 73y to retake the lead 20-14 (kicked xpt). OSU was SOD at the P48 10min left. McSorley ran for 19y on 3rd-and-long leading to a TD with 8min left (2pt no good)…26-14. Haskins finds Victor on a bubble screen and he zig zags 47y for TD in just over 1min of TOP for a 26-21 game. PSU moves it to a 1st down at the O42, but on 4th-and-5 from the O37 take a delay of game and punt, downed at the O04 4:35 left. Dobbins had a 35y catch and run, Dobbins 7y run, Weber 11y run, Campbell 14y catch and on 3rd-and-5 KJ Hill scores the go ahead TD on a 24y catch…27-26 (2pt no good). 2min left. McSorley connected on a 27y pass, is sacked, incomplete and runs for 9y on 3rd-and-14 setting up a 4th-and-5 at the O43. PSU timeout. OSU timeout. PSU timeout. McSorley hands off to Sanders who is immediately met by Chase Young who stunts from his DE position and comes in barely touched to stuff Sanders for a 2 yard loss. It was the original call from the first timeout, PSU decided to stick with it and it cost them a chance to win one of the biggest games in recent program history. FD even 22-21. PSU TY edge 492-389 (6.5-5.1), 206-119 RY (4.7-3.2). Each team lost 1 turnover and both poor on 3rd down 24-18% for OSU as they converted one more than PSU. OSU D 4 sacks (PSU 1). Tulane looked like the better team last week. Regardless of score, they looked more poised and confident.
 
Big 12

Oklahoma State led 14-0 and 24-7 HT with KU missing a FG on their opening drive. KU ripped a 60y run to start the 2nd H…24-14, but OSU responded with a TD & FG…34-14 early 3rd . The teams would go on to exchange TDs throughout the 4th qrt. OSU recovered the onside kick with 4min 41-28. KU calling timeouts, OSU took that and scored the final TD with 2:38 left in the game. KU was then SOD at their own 20, but OSU took knees for the final 1:24. OSU 25-18 FD, 568-368 TY (8.6-5.8), 256-121 RY (5.6-3.8). About 140 of KU’s yards were on their final 4 drives. OSU D 5 sacks (KU 0). 3rd down 36-23%. One turnover each, OSU threw INT and KU fumbled it right back.

West Virginia scored on 4 of their first 5 drives and led 28-7 early 2nd qrt. 35-10 HT. Alan Bowman was knocked out of the game 2nd qrt (collapsed lung) and Jett Duffey would go the rest of the way. In the 3rd qrt WVU would miss a FG and Texas Tech went 11p- 64y for TD and 12p 71y for a 27y FG…35-20. WVU O disappeared with TT D stepping up in the 2nd H. TT would score again with just under 8min left…35-27. After WVU’s 4th punt of the half, TT was at the TT47 when Duffey was INT’d and ret’d 51y for a WVU TD. TT would score again with just :38 left and the onside kick went OOB. 43-34 F. WVU had slim edge 489-463 TY (6.7-5.2), 50-41% 3rd down (TT 3-of-3 on 4th down). TT threw 3 INTs. WVU 12 pen for 115y.

Texas opened the scoring with a 90y punt ret TD in the 1st qrt and then a 11p 89y drive for TD in the 2nd…14-0. After a punt KSt was sacked twice, resulting in a safety…16-0. UT took that next possession for a 28y FG and led 19-0. Right before the half UT punted from their own EZ and KSt started the drive at the T42. KSt had 1st and goal at the T06, but would be SOD with :00 on the clock. 19-0 HT. Each team would only have 4 poss in the 2nd H. KSt took the opening drive 10p 82y for a 19-7 game. UT missed a 48y FG and KSt would convert 4th down twice on their way to a 16p 70y TD drive..19-14 10min left. Each team punted and UT would kill the final 6+min of the game with two 3rd down conversions before they took knees ending the game at the K22. 19-14 F. UT 339-217 TY (5.1-3.4), 111-107 RY (3.8-2.7), 57-40% 3rd down conv (KSt 2-of-3 4th down). No turnovers. UT D 3 sacks (KSt 2). Ehlinger 29-36-207-1-0, 26y rushing. Kyler Murray passed for 6 TDs and ran for another in Oklahoma’s 66-33 win over Baylor. OU led 28-9 HT with BU kicking a time expiring 32y FG and missed xpt on their only TD of the 1st H. The teams would mostly trade scores back and forth in the 2nd H with BU scoring first 28-16, then 86y Lamb TD…35-16…35-23…42-23…49-23…49-26…56-26…56-33…63-33…66-33 F. OU had 607-493 TY (11.2-4.9) and 175-77 RY edge (5.6-2.0). OU D 6 sacks (BU 2). Only 1 turnover which was a Baylor fumble. Murray 17-21-432-6-0, 45y rushing w/ TD. MT elected to go for 2 and the win, Stockstill had to scramble left to buy time was under pressure, threw across the field in kind of desperation to the middle of the EZ where Casey Gatlin was there for the conversion and the win 25-24 F. After UTSA missed a FG, UTEP went 7p 71y for TD and then 10p 69y (drive kept alive by personal foul on 4th down) to make it a 24-21 game. UTSA kicked a 39y FG mid 4th. Punts. North Texas started fast as they have all season scoring on 3 of their first 4 drives and built a 21-9 lead. LaTech was driving the ball also, but stalled in the RZ kicking FGs from the NT11, NT20, NT05 and NT11 in the 1st H. LT was sacked on 3rd and long one of those drives, but a personal foul kept it alive and LT got a FG out of it. LT finally scored a TD then NT fumbled a punt at their own 5 and LT was able to take a 26-20 lead into the half! LT added a 42y FG in the 3rd. NT did cut it to 29-27, but would miss 2 FGs in the 4th qrt, one off the upright and the second would be blk’d with just :41 left. 29-27 F. Troy got a 47y run on 3rd down on their way to a 21-0 lead. CC would score back-to-back TDs off long drives to make it 21-14. Troy fumbled, but CC SOD and Troy kicked a 46y FG to lead 24-14 HT. Troy D opened the 3rd with an INT ret’d to the C30, 5 plays later on 4th down Troy went up 31-14. CC converted 4th down on their way to a TD and 31-21 game. Utah converted 4th and 1 again on their 10p 65y and led 14-7 late 1st qrt. WSU tied on a 12p 75y drive…14-14. Utah broke serve when Huntley was sacked on 3rd down. WSU scored on a 65y TD pass for the 21-14 lead. Utah responded 7p 75y…21-21. The rest of the half was punts…21-21 HT. Utah took the lead on a 40y FG to open the 3rd…24-21, but would punt on their next 4 poss. WSU had a 52y FG blk’d and would punt on their next 3 poss. Utah had a punt ret TD brought back due to penalty. With 5min left WSU was at their own 7. They would get a 89y TD pass for the 28-24 lead! Utah converted 4th-and-2, then faced 4th-and-5, but false started. On 4th-and-10 they converted on a 36y play to the W07, but holding brought it back. The 4th-and-20 play was incomplete. 28-24 F. Arizona did not cross midfield the entire 1st H until their final drive. USC fumbled at the A14 and Zona would drive for a 37y FGA that was missed. USC did have a FG setup on a short field by a Zona INT, but had two long TD drives to lead 17-0 HT. USC extended it to 24-0 when Ware ripped a 69y TD run. Zona got on the board with a 33y TD pass…24-7 mid 3rd qrt. USC’s O would lose steam gaining just 25y on their next 3 poss ending in punts, then USC would fumble on back-to-back poss at own 32 and A46. After the first fumble Zona got a 32y TD pass on their first play….24-14. The second fumbled saw Zona be SOD at the SC46, but USC would then be SOD at A35. Zona’s drive started with 4min. USC would be called for THREE 15y penalties on the drive including one on 3rd-and-goal that gave Zona a new set of downs from the 1 yard line.
