Final couple days of vacation in Hawaii and then back to reality during the late Saturday games. Will hopefully update before kickoff if I can. Strongest leans are Washington, Michigan, NC state and USC

I've always wondered how accurate those percentages are...especially since they seem to vary from site to site.

Also, I'm wondering if Wisky is really a public dog...everyone seems to think mich rolls in that game.

Wisky is most definitely a public dog. It doesn't matter what 10 people on a message board bet on to be quite blunt. I trust sportsinsights 110%. It's much more accurate than pregame and scoresandodds. I fully understand why people don't trust the %s. These people don't understand the exposure these books get from SI. Knowing the %s doesn't mean you will win. The public wins plenty. Books just want action. That. Is. All. The more action the better. Period. Them releasing their betting info doesn't hurt them.

The hook on 3 is also telling imo. Plus it's a humongous game for the program.

Correct on all accounts.

Public says "did you see how good Wisc was last week, and we're getting 10"
 
I use the percentages so I'm not knocking it. Just wondering...that is all.

Thank you. When you bet every day for 10+ years you just notice these type of things. It's the one thing scaring about Michigan. I feel like it entices people to buy the hook. When you say below 50% is that with the opening line or closing line? Want some stats with the opening lines but I've never seen any. TIA
 
this is true but it's also true that mich has been a huge public team the first few weeks and if they've watched they know how desperate harbaugh is to cover the spread.

Just think it's slightly less clear cut then say USC/ASU where the public can't get away from the train wreck that is SC fast enough.

Tonight is definitely not as strong as a couple of the plays tomorrow. But aside from the fade of the public dog I like Washington for other reasons as well

Just saying there's a reason everyone must have been on under well before he was announced out, if you like over you should love the Mizzou team total I'm guessing, new coach angle at LSU so maybe they will actually look competent on offense I guess, but there's a reason for the pre announced under action.
 
I'm only on my phone so can't see the line history on the total. Did it open at 45 and go up?
 
I don't have an SI account so no total info really....there's just so much going on with that game situationally, the players loved the coach so who really knows
