Troy and Marshall is pretty fascinating tbh to how each responds off devastating loses.
 
I was figuring that Syracuse would be favored, but "holy shit" was my first reaction at seeing the -10. From looking at HHM's post it seems like people were ready to pounce on the opening number for Cuse.
 
Did Utah St. really lose to Weber St. 35-7 at home last week. Somehow I missed that one. Wow was looking to play them vs. vastly improved UNLV but don't think I can.
 
First UNLV road chalk role since 2016, at San Jose -3, they lost. Have to go back to 2013 to find a UNLV road favorite that won (-2.5 at NM)
 
I can't believe Temple is a DD fav. I still can't believe how they played yesterday.
 
It's too bad Central Michigan is off this year, their game at Penn State could've provided some interest.
 
Fordham at Ohio University...Fordham is averaging 49 ppg (Wagner, Albany, Monmouth - all bad teams except for Monmouth)
 
Michigan +500 to win big ten still feels like good value to me. I know I could’ve had a much better price preszn but I’ve seen enough out of the conference

UNLV finally has an ok QB & RB with an improved defense....I think they beat Utah St by 20....a much better Utah St team barely won last year on the road 28-24....I think this is a 41-17 type unlv win....Utah St only win came because UConn QB got hurt.....

Haven't been able to post at all but had some time today.

ODU - 6 vs Ark State. Missed the opener but this line still seems super short to me. Arkansas St is among the worst defenses in the country. They can move the ball a little offensive (Blackman still playing?), but they cannot stop anyone. ODU gets some class relief offensively from facing UVA/ECU/VT defenses. They finally figure out a way to move the ball. Defensively, they have a very good pass defense that aligns with Ark Sts best way of moving the ball offensively (and should be better). I have this as a double digit win for ODU.

VT +3 vs. WVA. Lane is gonna be rockin and used to always be thought of as a place you didn't want to play Thursday night. What has WVA done to deserve a 3 point fav on the road there? I think the VT defense is solid and while they don't have a lot of weapons, I still believe in Wells making plays.

Coastal/GSU over 63. Will either team get a stop? Coastal has not looked as good as I expected so far.

UVA +10. I aint buying Syracuse as a 10 point fave. The Cuse beat Purdue but were outgained by 180 yards. They certainly looked good vs. Louisville though. But, I like getting double digits vs. Syracuse.

App State bought to 7. Yes, I fear a letdown here but I am a seller on JMU. They beat an FCS school and one that might as well be (MTSU). I know people are buying into them, but to me they are still a good FCS squad and I don't think they match up with App State on the road. Situationally, this is one I typically would avoid but I'm looking to fade JMU as much as I can. Smaller play

CHarlotte/SC over. 65 This will be out of hand but Charlotte is terrible defensively so SC puts up 40+. Think Charlotte can get a couple TDs.

Random thoughts:

How bad do you have to be to be getting 30.5 from Western KentuckY?'

KState passes over 14 and I might be on them.

ECU should roll on Navy but not sure I'm comfy with 17

I posted somewhere in another thread about whether Utah St. really lost to Weber St 35-7 at home in Week 2. My lord. No one will be at the game in Logan. No home field at all. UNLV is good this year and should steamroll them. You know those kids are excited as all get out and Utah State have to be way down. But this is that classic trap/hard to trust bet to make. Opened UNLV -3 and sure enough down to 2.5. but think I have to try UNLV

There's a legit concern that Utah State is already in that must thing that shitty teams do. They are not good and pretty sure they know it. Not like the Rebs are good enough to let down against even a high school team.

UNLV TT looks like it'll be about 33. Think that might be the better way to go.

I am close to get sucked (or is it suckered) in on both UNLV and Marshall
 
CB, one of my guys having a great year so far is on Troy vs. Marshall so I got Troy +4.5 on that one. Down to 3. But UNLV is calling to me. Think I'll have to play it. It's like last week - I was about the only one I saw who liked Penn St - pure Harsin fade plus they had been battle tested on the road at Purdue. Think UNLV same thing here. I think things have just changed this year between these two teams.

I like WF TTs over though I stayed away last week and I think they missed by a point or so. That WF Defense scares me. Liberty wasn't doing much on offense this year until they played WF last week. Might just be the defense that makes Clemson offense look decent. Think I told you Sunday, I played it Over 55.5 and think I'll stay with that. Just hope my read on a great WF offense and lousy WF defense plays out.

i tend to agree but wake just ran for like 20 yards on liberty whose been bad against the run and outgained by 100......who has wake beat ? clemson always matches up well against wake........i'm just trying to figure out if this is end of season clemson from last year which made massive improvements from the start of the year or the beginning of year clemson that was no good. Against tech last year they scored 14 points this year 41

georgia state gonna start 0-4 with a senior laden team vs a coastal team losing half their defense ? as a dog at home ? coastal looks good though, surprisingly good

bc seems awfully high at 17 to a travisless fsu but that team has so many holes. no run defense and couldn't even compete in blacksburg to a bad va tech team imo. Brent prye is a witch though - Think west virginia can take them but prye at home at night I think is going to be something to keep an eye on in years to come

Line has come back to Utah -14. that line's still inflated by 2.5 points imo, but that's not the point. Utes have won 4 of L6 in series SU & ATS. (Home team has the exact same SU/ATS numbers over L6.) They've got the Beavs at home the following week. ASU has a trip to USC the following week.
Better QB, better running game, better lines...Utah obviously the superior team, with no reason to be flat this week...or to get caught looking ahead. But the real question is how will the Sun Devils respond? Like Nebby, they have talent on this team. Just on and off the field, everything has gone seriously sideways for them.

wasn't planning on playing Utah this week. (did against Florida and SDST.) but having just watched how the Sooners rolled last Saturday, i'm starting to think we could see something similar from the Utes this week. anyone agree? or do you think they'll immediately turn it around?

What fun is that though and technically I wasn’t on an app haha. It’s weird because every once in a while I will just have a night where I just can’t sleep. Back in my younger days that led to all sorts of trouble, now I just go out to my garage gym and hit the echo bike after working on excel budgets and online bill pay. The joys of getting old!

ASU is pretty bad. They lost a lot after that Covid recruiting thing and the players they added weren't as good. I expect an OU/Nebraska repeat but Utah has started every game slow. If they let ASU hang around anything can happen. I think a quick 10 point lead causes ASU to quit.
 
Weather watch needs to be in play. Know someone who watched kickoff in Iowa City and watched the final play of the game on his sofa in Des Moines on Saturday...2.5 hours away from Iowa City.

arizona state offensive line is very weak decidedly worse on offense than last year......defense supposed to have some guys which makes me think were flat vs eastern - I think utah is a better team than oklahoma state and should cover but it's all on utah and if they want to cover. sometimes they flat. i put this one into the "i can only take one side games - ucla vs colorado, ucf vs georgia tech, air force nevada, lsu new mexico, purdue fau.......utah arizona state, i can only play one side here, whose taking the dog ?

I think the question is if you can only play one side , shouldn't that mean that side should hit 55 % of the time ? and you should be playing it ?

agreed. feel similar, in a way, about the ucla/colorado game. wouldn't touch the buffs with a 10 foot pole, but not laying those points with my bruins on the road.

this was utah or nothing for me, and tbh it was nothing until yesterday. posted as much in my thread. but the more i came back to the game, and the more i thought about asu's problems and herm getting fired, the more i wanted to back the utes. like you said, it's on utah if they want to cover.
