As far as trying to set a decent number - the toughest week I've seen in 10 years or so maybe ....
>> should have waited until AFTER week 2 to even begin, but got too far in ha ...

One thing for sure - if you like to play openers - focus hard on those bets / teams you like for week 3 - oddsmakers will be guessing too, (especially with NFL starting) - might be some great opportunities.

Thanks for doing this BA, as I always enjoy comparing your stuff to mine, although you are way ahead of me this week.

I always start with setting projected line for my Heels and then go from there starting with the Thursday and Friday games, but now that I am getting into FCS, I am gonna be slower than usual this year.

With that said, I have -14.5 for UNC vs Minny, -17.5 for Memphis, nothing for Miami, -21.5 for Maryland (assumes UVA coming off home loss to JMU), -17.5 for UTSA and -11 for AFA (assumes struggle with SHSU so will get a few points relief here I think) if things go as expected with all those teams this weekend.

Curious to get your thoughts on my numbers when you get a minute, thanks again!

Those are great - you were a week ahead !

UNC probably 'should be' around 9/10 - but betting may drive it higher - how does Minny keep up?
 
sorry boys don't think I'll have time to adjust these before the lines come out - typically never more than 2-3 points - this week some maybe huge - 5++ - last week some around 10, which almost never happens
 
Was looking at those O/U at TeamRanking this morning. My hand count has 133 Overs to 142 Unders.
In the Big10 the count is 9 Overs and 19 Unders. Rutgers, Ohio St, Neb, Minn, Mich, and Iowa combined are 12 Unders, no Overs.

South Alabama +8.5 looked great opening up, but watched QB1 Bradley miss so many opportunities at Tulane. Thoughts? And what about Buffalo +3.5 at home vs Liberty?

I like your thoughts and I dont get to watch too many games. Line wise S.Alabama flew under my radar but I gave it more thought and consideration.

Tulane was ranked and had a good QB. That elevated Tulane and they belonged ranked.

Ok St. has laid some turds dating back to last season and they are heavily thought of on the consensus in their contest. 74 % on Ok St.

South Alabama was/is respected by the books only getting +7 vs Tulane. I respect that number and I think that brings some South Alabama Value this week.

Buffalo I am already on. I believe thats Money !

Was just looking at that- and seeing 95% of the money on KSU (per vsin) and the line dropping LOL and thinking to myself- how the hell can I take the 4.5 with Missouri here :pondering:

About 20 years ago, there was a season when Iowa State threw in the towel after losing to Iowa and went 0-9 ATS the rest of the way. But Campbell gets his guys to bounce back after a loss to Iowa. 5-0 ATS in that spot.
 
Ohio will have HFA and easily the best player on the field in QB Rourke.....Ohio would be 3-0 if he didn't get injured in game 1....Iowa St playing admirably in the midst of their gambling scandal, but being road favs (in their 1st road game of the year) with Ok St, Oklahoma and TCU coming up is just silly.....Gimme Ohio ML
