Week 16 What Are We Learning

Watching the Jets go for it and fail so many times while the gm is in reach is absurd. We already know this team lacks any offensive creativity. Surprised they didn't fire the interim coach by now.. wonder though if anyone knows how many interim coaches have been fired ever?

Ben Johnsons creativity is just delightful to watch. Every week you can watch a lions gm and feel like you saw something you haven't seen from them before. A new wrinkle etc. Just shows how much the team beleive in him. Wonder if he leaves this yr but someone should break the bank for him

Ben Johnson made a terrible decision turning down the Redskins job. He missed out on a franchise QB as well as what appears to be a good ownership group and GM. Maybe he takes the Chicago job and does something good with Caleb but Daniels is better and its a more stable franchise from ownership on down.

Now if he is happy being a career coordinator and doesn't want to be a head coach that would be a pretty good career move making millions as a coordinator and not having to deal with the nonsense that the head coach has to deal with.

Minny is rolling. Feel bad for the Detroiters in here, fully healthy I’d love to see it again.

Seeing that 13-2 WC spot for Minn makes me think about the old NFC West days. Saints had a couple years like that with the 49ers in front of em.

Penix had a nice debut. Wasn't asked to do too much. Just effortless motion throwing the ball. Yes his accuracy on some throws isn't great. And with film on him now, teams can scheme for him better.

But he certainly gives them a better chance than Cousins. He at least can take some pressure off of Bijan, who was great yesterday.

The Giants suck and Drew Lock gave them the game, but Sunday night in Washington should be fun.

I didn't want to admit it but the tickets were free so I sat in 20 degree weather at the Jets game. I've said this before but I am amazed at how inept Jeff Ulbrich is. My only hope is the Niners keep losing and the Jets can trade a first round pick for Shanahan because I can't stand the thought of another defensive head coach or a bum like Arthur Smith.

I'd be real concerned about the Bills defense if I was a fan. Its one thing to give up a ton of points to Detroit but they looked awful against the brutal patriots.

According to league stats the ball Devonta Smith dropped from Pickett that would have basically secured the win for the Eagles was his first drop of the season.

Washington is .500 masquerading as a playoff team. They will be one and done in the playoffs. Their road wins are Bengals, Cards, Giants and Saints. Their road losses are Buccaneers, Ravens and Eagles. Pretty clear demarcation as to their overall level.

Maybe he's waiting for the chance to coach Archie?

Yep.

What about Smith's drop vs the Falcons in week 2?

I've seen a reel today showing those side by side.

While I don't think their defense is all that great, yesterday was always going to be a letdown game for the team as a whole.

The thing is --

Either Detroit or Minnesota will be the #5 seed and have a road playoff game AT TB, Sea or LAR

With 14 wins.

Disgusting.

Take it another step. If the 2 and 3 seeds win along with the 5 seed, then Detroit and Minnesota will meet in the divisional round with the two best records in the conference.

Atlanta making it interesting in the NFC South. Pennix definitely brought some new life. I still think in the end Tampa will win that division..
I'm way too invested in TB to win the division and ATL missing the playoffs. TB really hurt themselves yesterday.

Still gonna be tough for ATL to win at Wash in Penix' 1st road start. But at the end of the day, it's still Dan freaking Quinn who's basically gonna decide the NFC South. Certainly not something you want if you're holding Tampa tickets.
