Week 16 M*A*S*H Report: Injured Wide Receivers Everywhere
Redskins vs Titans
Besides missing a number of offensive linemen and being on their fourth quarterback, a journeyman named Josh Johnson, the Skins could miss their four best pass catchers. Their leading one, Jordan Reed, has already been ruled ‚out.‘ Fellow tight end Vernon Davis and wide receivers Josh Doctson, and Maurice Harris could join him. They are listed as ‚questionable.‘ The Redskins have averaged 14 points in their past three games while Tennessee has allowed nine points in their past two games. Some kind of team total „under“ play against Washington looks reasonable at 5Dimes, for example.
Ravens vs Chargers
The Ravens finally have a healthy secondary. L.A.’s top wide receiver, Keenan Allen, could help challenge Baltimore if he’s healthy. He’s dealing with hip issues that had seemed earlier in the week like they would keep him sidelined. But, he is expected to play, despite carrying the ‚questionable‘ tag. Starting running back Melvin Gordon will also play and it is way more certain that he won’t suffer any health-related setbacks during the game.
Falcons vs Panthers
Atlanta is favored now because the Panthers have benched quarterback Cam Newton due to his shoulder. The Panthers are all but eliminated from playoff contention. The Falcons, however, could likewise miss a big piece on offense. Star wide receiver did not practice on Thursday because of his hips and ribs. He was limited in Friday’s practice and is officially listed as ‚questionable.‘
Giants vs Colts
The Giants will miss their two leading wide receivers, Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard. Joining them are the starting center and linebacker Alec Ogletree, who is New York’s second-leading tackler. The big question for Indianapolis is leading receiver T.Y. Hilton. He was a game-time decision last week and wound up playing and being productive. He will be a game-time decision this week and his status is worth monitoring.
Jaguars vs Dolphins
Miami’s defense is injury-ridden. Top corner Xavien Howard is listed as ‚questionable,‘ as are starting linebacker Kiko Alonso, and two defensive tackles. Starting safety T.J. McDonald is listed as „doubtful.“ Nevertheless, Miami’s defense is probably still in a good spot against a Jacksonville offense that has scored one offensive touchdown in its past three games combined. Jacksonville could miss starting right tackle Jeremy Parnell, whose absence would add to the longstanding injury problems of Jacksonville’s offensive line.
Texans vs Eagles
The Eagles’ ears are safe because Houston will miss starting safety Mike Tyson. Starting corner Johnathan Joseph did not practice on Friday and will likely join him because of hip problems and an illness. The biggest worries for Houston, though, come on offense. Starting running back Lamar Miller and superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins were limited in practice on Friday with ankle problems. They are listed as ‚questionable.‘
Vikings vs Lions
Detroit quarterback Matt Stafford continues to play through a back injury. His only formidable wide receiver, Kenny Golladay, has been limited in practice all week and is listed as ‚questionable.‘ After Golladay, T.J. Jones is Detroit’s most productive wide receiver that is currently healthy. The former sixth-rounder out of Notre Dame has 108 yards on the season. The Lions are averaging just under 17 points in their past four games.
Bengals vs Browns
Cincinnati is already down a starting quarterback and star receiver A.J. Green. Its second-best receiver, Tyler Boyd, has been ruled „out.“ Cincy’s top healthy receiver is John Ross, who has 206 yards. For Cleveland, starting cornerback Denzel Ward has been practicing fully and should have no problem dealing with Ross because Ward is Cleveland’s top cover corner and would have been defending A.J. Green if he were healthy.

Rams vs Cardinals
The Cardinals have already been dealing with injuries especially on offense. But the Rams could miss a huge piece of its own offense. Running back Todd Gurley will be a game-time decision. The Rams’ offense has not been itself lately, scoring only 29 points combined in its past two games.
Bears vs 49ers
Both teams may be undermanned on defense. San Francisco lost starting safety Jaquiski Tart for the season. His backup, Marcell Harris, has already made a few starts, though, and is steadily improving. San Francisco is much healthier on the offensive side of the ball. Running back Matt Breida and wide receivers Dante Pettis and Marquise Goodwin are all good to go, whereas they banged-up last week. They can take advantage of a Chicago secondary that will likely miss star safety Eddie Jackson, who is one of Chicago’s top playmakers.
Steelers vs Saints
Pittsburgh will miss running back James Conner. Starting wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster could join him after suffering a groin injury on Thursday. He’s listed as ‚questionable.‘
