Good luck

I've explained myself on KC in other threads.. If there are questions I will get to them asap.. Enjoy the day.

I know Cleveland is probably the right side and I lean Tennessee and Carolina but waiting things out a bit.

Love that Buff play, Detroit just won a game in comfy confines, now get to go to Buff. Buff by DDs probably.

Love the "Chiefs are frauds" chatter last night... And some ready to re-anoint the Pats as AFC Champs... Neither the Chiefs nor Chargers are frauds

Chargers- 3 losses... by a combined 23 points against teams with a 23-12 record
Chiefs- 3 losses... by a combined 7 points against teams with a 32-10 record

Patriots- 4 losses by a combined 52 points against teams with a 20-26 record. Beat 2 teams with a record above .500 (aka a winning record) at the time of the game... (When you beat the Colts when they are 1-3 you don't get to count them later. If it fits your narrative, go for it.) Smell more like frauds to me... Oh wait... Rings, Belichick, etc.. That's the ticket.

That one hurt. Could really see the difference in the first half with 29 in there compared to the 2nd half. And now we've lost Fuller it appears. Rough night. GL with the others this weekend.

Agree the fraud talk about either those 2 last night is beyond silly. Think it equally as silly to say it about the pats who beat kc and yes how can you not factor in what they been for the last 2 decades? I think it pretty relevant.

Great game. Chiefs were one play away from winning and covering. Can’t win them all. We always remember the tough losses but never the half point wins. Solid pick but the gambling gods said “sorry”

Were you watching it at a bar with Pats fans present? Even as a Pats fan I would find that annoying. Agree that calling KC a fraud this year is foolish but also agree with 2Dabank that you can't discredit what Pats have done. I know you loath them, mostly due to being surrounded by shithead fans, but they have a decent resume.

I always watch these games in a controlled environment and last night decided to go to a bar with my wife and friends... torture.. Pats fans were going apeshit.. Not realizing that LA would have the #1 seed if they win out as well and KC loses.

NE is ok. There. I said it :tiphat:

Edit: only watching games at home or in stadiums from now on.

THIS x1000

There is nothing fun about going out and watching your favorite teams at a bar or house party with people 'not on your level'. It is very hard and makes the whole experience miserable. I'm a one man show when it comes to this stuff now. People always want to go watch games and I am like 'nah'. I tried it twice this fall, and it was BRUTAL.

Now, I'll go catch a random game, sure. But that is the extent of things.

Amen... I should have stayed in my living room. I cost us the game!

That is my rule as well. I don't even like more than a couple friends over because I can't take the stupid commentary... My brother gets mad that I won't go to his house for a game.... not going to watch you cheer on your losing fanduel lineup piss off.

Ha! I nailed it & you said it. It's okay buddy. Admitting NE is okay is the first step.

Agree that KC and LAC are the cream with an edge to KC between those two. If they play 10 games I think KC wins 7. NE probably 3rd and will need home field to get to the ship and they ain't getting home field.

You guys should try being a Pats fan and watch a game anywhere except NE. It's brutal!! Everyone hates us. Ha ha. My favorite line to the haters is "Did you guys know we have 11 world championships in Boston since "01?" Ha ha I'm such a dick.

Cap, I see your reasoning above on the comparisons of the losses between the 3 teams and understand what you are saying but a 16 game NFL season changes quite a bit with every 4 games played and comparing teams for the last four based on games played early in the year isn't solid imho. The Pats use the first quarter of the season as an extended training camp better than any team in the league. So the above comparison isn't as solid as the numbers suggest. Just my opinion. I do think the Pats are weak this year, especially defensively and that is going to hurt us when we travel to the champ game if we even make it that far. Good luck to your Chiefs, I will be on your wagon once the Pats lose. And thank you for the solid capping this season.

I hate other people talking to me at all when I am watching a game.

I don't want to hear about the car accident your cousin sally got into when it is third and five at midfield. Shut up. The game is on.

I go to the sportsbook but it is rarely very rowdy (appears to be on Monday nights for MNF because all the people in the book have action on the same game) as everyone is watching whatever game they are interested in. No one bothers me there and I get to see a ton of games all at once.

I have honestly come to the conclusion that your average regular gambler on football is miles ahead of anyone else when it comes to the common sense of the game. Way, way, way, way, way, way ahead of the groups involved in the games (owners, players, coaches, officials, league managements, announcers, beat writers, etc.). WAY WAY WAY ahead. I don't want to talk to a non-gambler about football because they are always idiots, even if they are smart otherwise.

These coaches make millions and cannot make the most simple decisions.

Anyway, I am a horrible person when I am watching football. I mean that. I don't want to talk to other people and I only want to text them to tell them how ridiculous something is or whine about how much better the Jets are than the Texans today. There is zero positive energy in me when the game is on.

Same. I don't have any gambler friends so I stopped texting all together. It is hilarious how everyone watches games and talks about fantasy sports and how they need a TD. Drives me crazy. I do well in all my fantasy leagues by not paying any attention and just playing guys based on matchups I'm aware of.

Flip side, every once in a while it is fun to stop into the lunch room at work when all the guys are talking about fantasy and/or Monday morning quarterback. This team is TERRIBLE, this team is AMAZING, did you see X.... i start to then look into how to fade these opinions. Works out well but unfortunately I have not been able to pay much attention to joe public the last month or so.

And yea. No one understands why I refuse to go to a bar (I don't even drink) to watch a game. I'll go to a friends house if there are 2 or 3 of us and it is a primetime Bears game. That is fun and fine but otherwise.....yikes.

It's the same listening to all of the dipshits sitting around you when you attend games. I'm a lifelong season ticket holder to WVU football and basketball and (like you said as a long-time gambler) I can't take the stupid assholes all around me who are clearly wrong on nearly everything they say but they still insist on saying it loud enough that everyone within 4 rows up or down can hear them. People like that should be put in a special jail they keep at the stadium/arena. (I know they have holding cells at stadiums because I've been in one....another story)

Guessing at The Vet back in the day?

Same for Bills games (and sabres). Had a guy behind me jets@Buffalo yelling throw the ball after every single snap. He wanted 60 passing attempts from Josh fucking Allen.

Hey Cap - congrats on a great season so far... You've been a great follow all year... You ever make it to the window with Carolina? Or were u waiting to see if a 7 popped up?

I’m sorry dude. I play in an old man basketball league and had a game and never saw this. I did not play them and would have if I could have grabbed 7 without a lot of juice. Just saw this 7-6 score. Long way to go
