GB-3 at Oak. GB playing better, getting run involved lw. Oak is pretty much out, but they sure have a fight in them. Any thoughts?

congrats on your run in the Supercontest this year and thanks for sharing your thoughts.

CAR is breaking all the trends...because they are an elite team. Normally...yes, teams put up points, you fade them but this team has come through every possible way. Their toughest game was when NO was a home dog of 7 pts (NO never is, they play so well at home) and they still came from behind because they were simply better. NO got the early lead, but then couldn't move the ball and CAR just kept doing what they do.

I like GB this week. Their offense will improve with McCarthy calling the plays. They went through a little rut but should give value for last couple weeks of season and in to playoffs. OAK off a huge emotional win, but it was their red zone defense that won it because their offense was horrendous in first half.

Doubtful that Jets are looking ahead. Fitz is playing great and DAL is getting respect due to Romo's success in past, line is low and DAL has little chance to comeback if they are behind.

Agree on your thoughts on GB. And again, Oakland has another divisional game nw against Chargers.. I was expecting 4.5 or so on them. I like that McCarthy is calling the plays. Plus, Rodgers >>>> Oseweiller(sp)

Gut Reaction...

TB at STL
-STL stopped a 5 game slide with a home win over listless Lions last week. Both teams want to run. STL is 21st vs run, TB is 8th. TB off a loss as a home fave, so good spot for a bounceback.

Will TB be able to win running game (Martin only had 11 rushes last week) and get a much needed win on the road or will STL win one for the fans (possible last game in STL)?


NYJ at DAL
-SAT game. DAL no Romo and no offense. Decent defense, but Jets QB is 9 TD and no INT in last 3 games going against DAL who does not get INT's. DAL 0-4 ATS vs. winning teams. Jets get a lead and DAL has little chance to comeback.

CHI at MIN
-CHI plays a ton of close games and these two usually play close games. These two played earlier and MIN scored 10 pts in last 3 minutes to pull out 3 pt win. MIN played well in ARZ last week while CHI QB Cutler played first game since tragedy in family. I think CHI keeps it close again.

ATL at JAX
-ATL can't do anything right since they started 5-0 and JAX scored 42 points to hang 51 on Indy last week. Hard to back ATL getting just a FG even though JAX not used to winning. Also have a dome team playing outdoors. Only reason to back ATL is contrarian, both teams off blowouts, ATL lost and JAX won last week. I think JAX wins at home.

KC at BAL
KC eeked out a 10-3 win in the rain at home vs. SD, can they get offense going that led them to 6 straight covers before last week? BAL has been in every game this year...until last week when red-hot SEA passed all over them. Has Balty quit? Can KC get offense going? IF BAL hasn't quit, I like them to keep it close. Thoughts?

BUF at WAS
-BUF had tough schedule, this is 5th road game in 6 weeks. WOW. They have to be tired. WAS had nice bounceback win at CHI last week after losing on MNF vs DAL week before. WAS has been great at home, not so much on road, so rare road win last week. Does BUF have the defense to slow down WAS? Not likely as the injuries pile up. They are dangerous when offense is healthy, but RB Williams and TE Clay probably are out this week. I like WAS to win at home.

TEN at NE
-TEN got blownout last week by Jets...not even covering Brandon Marshall coming out of a TO. Have they quit? NE always wins by 7 at home, so 14-15 pts is not much more. They are much better with Gronk. Pats can name score here, their defense should slow down TEN to less than 13. NE did lose RB Blount for year, which is a loss, but they find ways to get production. I like NE at home.

ARZ at PHI
-Are we impressed by PHI win over BUF? They have played better with Bradford, but ARZ is a legit team. Hard to go against ARZ because PHI defense does not scare me. PHI does need this game more, which is always a good reason to go against.

CAR at NYG
-Can Giants knock off another undefeated like they did to DEN way back when and knocked off Pats in SB? Not likely. CAR did take a hit losing CB Benwikere. CAR has overcome every situation this year (Except defense letting IND come back when CAR led 23-6 early in 4th Q and having to comeback at NO a couple weeks ago). Can NYG cover? Its possible, they do play well against the best, but their defense is just not up to par. CAR 10-1 ATS vs anyone not named NO this year. If I am backing the Giants, I am worried their offense doesn't show up early in the game...like when they sleptwalked against WAS a couple weeks ago at home. Giants not usually a good team to come back if they are down a couple scores in 4q for a backdoor.

CLE at SEA
-CLE off a nice win home to SF, while SEA rolling as QB Wilson playing out of his mind with 16 TD's and 0 INT's last 4 weeks. SEA did suffer a big blow, losing RB Rawls. SEA should be able to keep their offense going, though not as explosive without Beast Mode or Rawls as RB. Johnny M played pretty well last week against a poor defense. I hate betting against hot teams, but I saw enough from Manziel to think he can keep it close especially without Rawls. Tough for teams to do what SEA has done, though they have the pedigree. Always tough to play in SEA and CLE may roll over off a win, but I think they compete. If they can slow the RB, maybe force a TO, they can stop a redzone score and two and backdoor will be open.

GB at OAK
-SEE comments above with Wiz. I like GB coaching change for the plays and OAK off an emotional win. Good spot to back GB.

MIA at SD
-Well, SD did try hard last week and kept it close vs. KC in the rain. MIA off a MNF loss in a pretty good game vs. Giants. SD has scored 3 points exactly in 3 of their last 4 games...That is really hard to back. I think MIA can build off last week and get a rare road win. MIA does have road wins over PHI and TEN and SD defense been pretty good lately, but I like MIA to get the road win.

DEN at PIT
-Bad loss for DEN last week, PIT off b2b blowout wins over teams they usually beat. DEN QB Brock played well, but couldn't get TD's. Still learning. Both teams need the game, DEN defense is pretty good, but has to step it up against PIT's crazy pass attack. If DEN doesn't get a D/ST score or put offense in position, its going to be a long night. PIT needs it more, they need to win to get to playoffs. DEN doesn't give up 30 pts, even with Manning tossing the ball to the other team. Do you back DEN to bounceback and play better this week or will PIT's offense have them run away from DEN? I think I will back DEN and their #1 ranked pass defense to keep it within a TD.

CIN at SF
-I agree with Wiz. SF was in bad spot last week (off an upset win vs a team off a blowout loss) and in a bad spot here, playing on WC after last 2 games were on EC. I think AJ should have no problem against 49ers weak pass defense. Would love CIN -3, but 4.5 isn't too bad. SF is a good home team, but CIN needs a win after losing QB last week.

DET at NO
-DET played well for a stretch, but then lost on hail mary to GB and hardly showed last week. This week, on the road at NO who is very tough to beat at home on MNF with crowd rocking. Would be shocked if DET can go into NO and get a win. Also, NO defense looked pretty good last week too. NO should roll here.


FWIW...I have always been a dog/road player, but have learned to back favs and home teams...I still do tend to the dog though.

To correct...JAX hung 42 in 2nd half last week to get to 51 for the game. I have not heard any mention of them replacing K Myers this week though? I thought he was going to be gone.

Cincy looks good, the defense should step up to help Dalton being out. SF not the scoring machine and got handed as ass kicking by browns. SF Couldnt even run against the worst rushing defense in the league. McCarron looked decent for the most part, has a game under him, and a full week with the first team. Cincy should take care of business IMO.

Can't see SF scoring much at all this week - first home game in two weeks as well.
