Initial bets: Pit +3.5 and Oak +7.5

Pit has not lost b2b games all season. They have had a lot of success in Cincy and the fans travel well to this game. Cin coming off 3 straight road games. Dalton playing like shit and is a turnover machine.

Oak was doomed this week - coming off their first win of the season after which they celebrated on the field as if they won the division. Now they come back home after being embarrassed by StL - they have been playing decent (at least competitive) ball at home. Bay rival SF strolls struggling on offense. Could see an upset here, but certainly a close game.

Leans: Chi +3.5 (Romo in Dec and Dallas D regressing), Phi -1 (Sea in a huge letdown spot)

NO is going to stomp Caro and score a lot of points

Tend to agree with c-man that pitt will keep it within 3.5...good ml play....can u believe that cinn is 8-3?

Also agree with c-man that oak getting 7.5 is worth looking at....sf in disarray and Kap missing too much of what is going on on the field

I wonder if Dall will lose out...probably not but they are looking more like the team we thought they would be

Hou -4 almost for sure....they are improving weekly

I have lost on the NYG two weeks in a row.....dare I bet them again....sometimes it becomes competitive and that it just so stupid

Rams maybe...two teams going in opposite directions and fischer seems to have his team improving....i so wanted to play them this week and wussed out

Did denver look like a team that should be giving a decent buff team 11 points...red zone o was ineffective but their d line was very good

Can't bet against philly or seahawks....their is a reason this is a pick

Hard to lay 3.5 with the pats....they got exposed in gb with a weak o line...need to check press conference with beleichick....his mood is telling....when he's somber and short he's worried....he was somber and short last week....gb defense was really good and their o line was really really good....rogers should be buying them all cheeseburgers

I think you're putting too much into one game. If the Pats had shit beat Denver yesterday & were heading to San Diego after they laid an egg in Miami, you'd probably be saying "Pats are ONLY laying 3.5!"

I get all my lines down for the upcoming week prior to kickoff of the current week. This way I'm not putting too much into one game. Like the fucking Giants blowing a 21 point fucking lead to Jax! They do suck dick though.

Just my two cents. This is the first year I've been strict about doing this & the first year in forever I haven't been using a local so I can get better lines early. Hasn't made me rich but going in the right direction.

solid point zeke...gb played very well (over reaction on my part) and it soured me on a pats play here....coupled with, if memory serves me correctly, sd/pats games in SD have been tight scores....not sure though

I got saints at 9.5 earlier today as soon as my place opened up....i have watched Caro play 3-4 games this year and they truly do suck....i took them under 8 games for the season expecting regression but i did not anticipate them being one the worst 3-4 teams in the league...statistically NO one of the best offensive teams and caro one of the worst defensive teams and NO at home off 3 home losses....they will run up the score if they can

I like the confidence but I don't see it myself. Should be a close game, possibly a great game. I am worried that San Francisco and Arizona struggles are gonna have Sea all pumped up. Eagle should win though as long as Sanchez does not give away the game
 
Arizona winning yesterday opened the door for Seattle. Seattle will be balls to the wall the rest of the season.
 
A trip out East to Philly sandwiched in between Arz, @SF, SF @Arz - that is a nightmare scheduling spot for Sea. Not to mention the defense has looked so good against two struggling offenses. Let's see how they fare this week.

Look maybe the saints have hit the stride.....they are still decimated in the D-backfield....I think Ben had a very very bad game...

for the line to cross that number tho....IDK man

I cant expect it to be that high at kick

you have me thinking twink.....i have watched 2 NO games this year and their offensive execution has been poor i have to admit....hopefully they get their stuff together for sunday...i really didn't consider their depleted backfield as I feel that cam isn't going to have any time to throw...thinking now maybe i should have teased it down....appreciate the input
 
to me, i can't even look at that saints game in terms of playing a side…i think its too risky.

however, Carolinas D is a frekkin sieve, especially on the road. The amount of points they have given up is ridiculous, @ 34 I think. Saints have a good history of scoring a ton of points against the Panthers in the last 5 meetings...

I will be on the Saints TT for at least 3u…which is a larger play for me
 
BOOM! Trick question, but you got it!! Next question, when was the last time Cutler played the Cowboys at home? Spoiler alert, he hasn't. But he is 2-0 SU versus the Cowboys in his career, both away, against lines of 7.5 and 3.0. I really want the Bears tonight. I got a few possibly arbitrary things:


  • Since 2010 the Cowboys are 4-6 SU and 1-9 ATS (avg line -5.5) on "non-Sunday" games as the favorite.
  • Since 1989, teams going from Thursday to Thursday are 2-3 SU; 2-0 at home and 0-3 away.
  • The one bad thing I see that will make me lay off is that Cutler is 1-5 SU and ATS as the home dog since 2011 (0-4 SU and ATS since 2012). Four of those games were against the Packers though. If you look at his whole career, Cutler is 5-3 SU and ATS as the home dog versus non-divisional opponents.

Also, some dudes are backing the Cowboys, but I don't like to cap games based on the fact a team "needs" to win. Every team needs to win.
 
Way too easy to take the Bears based on the 'numbers', imo.

Books privy to all the above data etc and still elected to make the Cows a -3.5 favorite on the road in December.

Is the biggest home dog the Bears have been in a non-divisional game since 2006.
 
it seems like the type of game that cutler will be ok in....dall d not that great....cutler played better last 2 weeks before last after looking horrible prior....i just can't lay 4 with the boys on the road in december and i agree with austin in that must win situations in the nfl mean nothing...bears will be as motivated tonight...home crowd...prime time...blah blah....bears +4 for me
 
i wonder if playing on thursday and then not playing again till the next thursday messes with a team's mojo in any way....it is different
 
The Cowboys are interesting right now. I've said it before but it's a trip living in Texas and seeing them not lose. I really wish Jerry Jones wasn't such a fucking asshole though.
 
Peyton Manning is off a 179 yard passing game.

In his time in a Broncos uniform, he's averaged 344 yards & Denver's averaged 29.0 team pts following his having thrown less than 250 yards in his previous game (6 instances). When those subsequent games(3 instances) have been at mile high = 349.3 yards & 31.0 pts.
 
Buffalo this season is 3-2 to Under playing divisional opponents (47.2 ppg avg. overall), and 7-0 to Under playing non-divisional opponents (35.0 ppg avg. overall).

The biggest cause for this dichotomy is Buffalo's offense. Their defensive efforts vs. either kind of opponent are all but the same (19.0 ppg vs. div., 17.4 ppg vs. non-div.), but their offense has struggled much more against non-div. foes (17.6 ppg) than div. foes (28.2 ppg).

In their last 11 games, the Broncos have only twice conceded more than 22 pts in regulation time.
 
Played under in Jacksonville after two hi scoring games by teams last week, division foe for second time. Also Miami as Baltimore D is hurting huge with Ngata and Wilson out. GL fellas

NE this season has conceded 28.4 ppg on the road vs. 17.3 ppg @home.

NE's games are 8-1 to Over this season when NE's conceded at least 10 pts (SD averages 20.6 ppg vs. teams w/winning records this season).

Since 2010, NE playing off a SU loss & subsequently on the road in a game w/a line less than 4.5 pts, is 6-0 ATS (games 5-1 to Over; average of 57.3 ppg).

SD's games are 6-2 to Over this season when the loser has scored at least 11 pts.

In SD's 12 games this season, only 2 road teams have led at half-time (only 1 of those 2 went on to win SU).

SD's last 4 games vs. teams with winning records have resulted in 3 SU losses & a SU win by 1 pt.

In 13 SNF games this season, only 2 have gone Under. Both involved the only SNF second halves that have failed to register at least 2 TD's.
 
Still not convinced Sea's D is "back". Will believe it if they play well today, but strong performances against a struggling Arz offense with no Fitz and a backup QB at home and against SF who Can't score against anyone is not all that impressive.
 
GL today Cman. The saints and steelers games also are second time facing division foe and would imagine that 1 if not both stay under.

I agree on those unders. Steelers offense not as good on the road and these teams always figure out how to play 24-17 type games. In fact, against a total of 47.5, Pit/Cincy would be 2-8 to under over L10 games. Car offense is not good - could see lots of running clock in that game.

a dome team OTR playing outdoors in the cold? Not a recipe for success. Best case scenario is a let down for GB but I don't see it.
 
yes, but still think their offense is inconsistent and does not look as explosive as in past years. Plus, would expect them to try and build on last week's success running the ball. Saints may put up 30 and the game still go under
