Week 12 Discussion

Pitt hosts ND at high noon.

I've seen 10 and 56 there.

Pitt can score vs this Irish team imo.

Michigan and Northwestern at Wrigley, on Big Noon on Fox. This one will be interesting. I think the bye week will be very beneficial for UM.

USC hosts Iowa. Interesting here as that will be a hard hitting game at the line of scrimmage. The Trojans with Oregon on deck fighting for their playoff lives.

Bama is -7 hosting the Sooners. Tough defense. Good playoff prep for the Tide. After @gps_3 comment tonight about the OL this should be interesting.

The Vols host NMSU , lol.

Utah heads to Waco. Looks like they are laying 7/7.5

I love that Texas and Jorja is at night! I'm actually doing casino night so this is perfect!

Byu hosts TCU late night.

I'll be laying the 7 to OU without hesitation. Really good defense but that offense is not good.

Good performances from Utah quarterback Devon Dampier lead to high scoring outputs for the Utes. Against Power Four opponents, they only failed to reach 30 points when Dampier accumulated fewer than 200 passing yards or ran for fewer than five YPC. I like Utah’s offense in this game because Dampier has a great outlook against Baylor. Baylor reliably struggles against mobile quarterbacks. On October 25, for example, Baylor gave up 41 points to a Cincinnati team led by a dual-threat quarterback who passed efficiently and ran for 85 yards. The Bears likewise gave up 34 points against Kansas State due to its dual-threat quarterback.

To keep pace with Utah, Baylor is going to want to pass because Baylor is a pass-heavy team. The Bears own the 15th-highest pass-play percentage. However, when the Utes allowed more than 14 points in a game they did so because of their opponent’s high rushing total. Because of how good their pass defense is, it is ideal for them to face a team that wants to rely on passing the ball. The Utes rank fifth against the pass.

The situation favors Mississippi State decisively. The Bulldogs need one win to achieve bowl eligibility. If they don’t do it this week, they’d have to do it on November 28 against sixth-ranked Ole Miss. Beating Missouri is their only realistic option, especially with the Tigers’ starting quarterback sidelined. It is evident from Missouri’s failure to exceed ten points against Vanderbilt and the ease with which Texas A&M covered the spread against Missouri that the Tigers’ freshman quarterback isn’t ready for his starting role. Despite having two weeks to prepare for the Aggies, he was 7-for-22 for 77 passing yards. Thanks to Zollers’ dud and the Tigers’ poor pass coverage, Missouri’s playoff hopes have been dashed. Missouri’s locker room was reportedly in a uniquely bad state after its loss. After all, the Tigers have nothing to play for now. They already have bowl eligibility, and now they can’t make the playoffs.

The Sooners in their last two games have given up 34 points to Ole Miss and 27 points to Tennessee because they struggled to limit their opponent’s pass yardage total. Now they have to face by far the best quarterback whom they’ll have seen all year. Alabama’s Ty Simpson is a Heisman contender with 21 touchdowns and one interception. Alabama’s defense, however, will also struggle. Its two worst games – in which it allowed 24 points to Missouri and 31 points to Florida State – came against an offense led by a dual-threat quarterback. Oklahoma’s John Mateer thus has a great outlook.

"They're all must wins."

Get this guy a media consultant.
Seriously!! I get that it’s not a conference game, but Pitt finally cracked the top 25 and now play a home game vs #9 Notre Dame and Narduzzi is talking like he doesn’t give a shit about this game and expects to get blown out.

And I was seriously considering a Pitt wager

I wanted to be on pitt here. One of the few forward looks i was considering. Been thinking about this since wvu played pitt cause i was looking at schedules.

I bought up to pitt +14 the moment it released.

I bought out of it the moment i saw that clip. I thought Aaron Glenn said really dumb stuff in pressers, but this takes the cake.

If this is the new mentality about motivating your team against a quality foe to be able to have a chance at a playoff berth, i just dont like it. I wish there was a follow up to that.

Utah, Baylor
it's been record setting high temps in SLC this week for november. so it's like high 60s/approaching 70 this afternoon. so hopefully the 78 degrees/50 percent texas humidity doesn't wreck them especially since the sun's going down, it won't be a huge shock to the system coming from elevation to sea level

Keeping a close eye on the weather out in LA this weekend for USC/Iowa. Rain all day Friday and Saturday.

If it was only rain. Damaging flooding and mudslides with the fire-scarred hillsides along with tornado possibilities. Should be an eventful weekend in SoCal.

Seeing up to 35 mph winds from one direction switching to the other direction at some point in the day but forecasters still can't figure out the timing of everything?
