Week 10 What Are We Learning

home is where they were gonna bounce back because it's not gonna be on the road. one road win per season 3-18 on the road last three years

Fade Dallas, over and over. It's a lost franchise.

If you're not from the area Jones has steadfastly refused to close the curtain in his stadium. and it so happens that the windows face east to west (an architectual error). Was again a big deal today in the 2Q when the game was close. Unfortunately, CeeDee Lamb couldn't see a TD throw that would have put the Cowboys up.

Would it have decided the game? No. Just more proof positive how pathetic the Cowboys GM / circus leader / carnival barker is.

Wouldn’t it affect both teams depending on what direction you’re going?

Saints are flirting with the interim thing….The Rizzler is pretty fucking cool though.
Young Ho missing FGs in the Dome, he was going nuts. Special Teams coaches always fun.

The quality of a team’s offensive coordinator really goes unappreciated. It‘s not a coincidence that Jax and Jets are bottom-feeders with their OCs whereas Detroit is elite with its top-caliber OC

I'm going to be that old man yelling at clouds and say I am so tired of the line of scrimmage penalties, hard counts and other shenanigans that have nothing to do with actually playing football.

The league needs to get rid of most all pre-snap penalties. Flinching - acceptable. Early rocking back - acceptable. Only moving your feet should be considered an illegal procedure penalty. Encroachment - get rid of it. Go back to the way it used to be where it's not a penalty until the ball is snapped, at which point it's offsides. If you want to claim the penalty, snap the damn ball.

I'm also still a believer that delay of game should be a loss of down. You want to try to draw an offsides on 4th and 3? You'd better watch that play clock carefully douchebag and be ready to burn a timeout. A five-yard penalty is not stiff enough for a purposeful delay.

While we're at it....take a page from the NBA. Instead of three timeouts per half, you get four for the whole game. Timeout usage should have continuity throughout the game and frankly they should be conserved for end of half/end of game scenarios.

And on PI.....lets go back and strengthen the uncatchable aspect of the rule. If a ball does not land in the field of play, no PI. Can't even count how many deep shots I've seen land OOB and then see the flag get thrown. That's BS. And the penalty for PI should be changed from spot foul to half-the-distance of the spot. No more 40-yard PIs....make it 20, that's fair enough.

OK enough ranting.
