[FONT=&quot]Theres really not much to say about this game….. the fish will look to run the football often, playing boring shit-fish football and keep favre off the field and win time of possession with some long sustained drives. Pennington will be pennington and look to complete 4-7 yard passes because that’s what he does.

<o></o>[/FONT] [FONT=&quot]While the jets will look to throw on this beat-assed secondary often (anchored by the talented will allen lmao) and hit the patented favre bomb (oh yeah, its coming to cotch tomorrow, just wait)… and employing a LOT of different type of blitzes to throw at pennignton as we’re returning with the 3-4. We know chad, and we know when under pressure he is at his worst and he is awful at throwing on the run. Hell we had one of the worst OL’s in football during his reign….We will flush his ass out of the pocket as much as possible.

<o></o>[/FONT] [FONT=&quot]We have had a lot of problems over the year with the OL- both in pass protection and run-blocking.<o></o>[/FONT] [FONT=&quot]This year, we bring in faneca which will bolster the pass protection and the youthful talent in mangold and d’brickashaw will begin to come around…. Both have started every single game in their two year careers and are coming up on year 3 where we should really see them mature.

I want to say that the run game will get better because of the OL but I cant say that completely… faneca has always been a better pass-protect guy then run-blocker…. but I CAN say that the run-game will improve because favre will keep defenses honest with his arm and limit the zone/safety blitzes because they will need to stay at home now.<o></o>[/FONT] [FONT=&quot]

We know pennington has never had much of an arm, and a couple of years ago when he had that rotator cuff surgery for his shoulder he has only digressed.
Favre’s arm will force opposing safeties to play deeper as they have to watch out for vertical routes now.

(BTW, cotchery should be a fantasy STEAL this year IMO, as he has always been the guy to run the deep routes but pennington could never get him the ball, now with favre he will be running a lot more of them and when the ball is thrown to him it will be for big gains, while the more aged/injured coles will be used for short gains, plus coles has better hands IMO)<o></o>[/FONT] [FONT=&quot]

Do I think the jets can win the war in the trenches?<o></o>[/FONT] [FONT=&quot]OL- yes. Discussed above. Not worried about the senile old men- holliday and ferguson. <o></o>[/FONT] [FONT=&quot]DL- not positive but I think so. ELLIS will be a big factor and hes still listed as questionable in the injury report. Kenyon coleman is an excellent run stopper and kris Jenkins was a HUGE addition for this year… but will they mesh in week one I don’t know. <o></o>[/FONT] [FONT=&quot]

Bottom line- besides the secondary and WR core, we are a new look team. A lot of intangibles here. Historically, We usually beat the fish. It may take a couple of weeks for us to get some chemistry and get shit going, so if we don’t cover in week 1 get off my dick!

Only have to worry about Burleson, seattle is starting rookie courtney taylor at WR.

Great thread brother, Looks good. Alot of these small doggies may be under/over valued. It's hard to tell until after tomorrow is done.

Detroit looks good, they got all the weapons on offense. There defense has looked great in the preseason.

You know better than anyone, that if the Jets felt confident in Pennington they wouldn't have let him go. So Miami takes him, I'm not buying the Pennington will want revenge. I just don't think Pennington has that killer instinct. Just as well as Pennington know's the Jets playbook, the Jets know Pennington's tendencies.

Loving Buffalo more and more, and will probably play them.

Staying away of the Saints game.

i can not get a feel on either of these games really, there are too many intangibles in both

first- how will aaron rodgers fare in his first start of his carreer? i dont know. but i will watch and find out

second- i can see denver bringing a lot of pressure tonight on jamarcus, how will he handle it? will he find the open receiver? or will be he be rattled?

in 4 games last year (1 start), he had a QB rating of 55.9 , and threw 2 Td's and 4 picks. thats bad.
has he progressed in the offseason? will the improved running game help take the pressure off him and open it up for the pass? we'll see tonight

third- let me be the first to say i fucking hate the denver broncos. especially when on the road and even more so in primetime football games, they have got to be one of the top 3 most inconsistent teams in the NFL.
i hate betting on or against them. i like to stay away from denver.

fourth- injuries

aj hawk AND atari bigby are questionable. both very important to come up and help stop the run and contain AP.

i dont know how these things will pan out, but i can tell you i WILL be watchin and takin notes!
