I got down last week on Indy -7, at -120 though. I think they win this going away by 20+. It's gonna be a long year for Raider Nation.

If I can get more then a TD, I'll be looking at Tenny. I think the line reflects the old Steelers.

I'm looking at Tennessee catching a TD myself. Also have strong leans to Denver and Carolina ML.

Tennessee looks good but Balty is so undervalued. They have one of the best front offices in football and know how to get players and spot talent. Way too many points IMO and too much hype for Denver at this point. Denver will peak at the right time this year and be fine but in week one I would be weary.

Carolina is suspicious but I can't take a far less talented team here. Seattle or NO PLAY.

Definitely lean to the Broncos on Thursday night. Its a pretty strong opening line.

Not only because of revenge but I dont think that the ravens are as good as last year with all the personnel turnover... think denver will want this game a lot more and will play with more passion... and i cannot believe the flacco banner was allowed to be put on denver's stadium

Colts are inflated, saw it at 9 somewhere, but I got em at 7. Everyone loves the Broncos giving 9 to the Champs? I don't get it....

Colts = Survivor pick

While I think Miami will be decent this year I like Cleveland pk. Browns will be improved IMO.

Colts could be inflated but how could you back one of the worst teams EVER, they have nobody at all.

Colts won two games last season by more than a td, the D to me is still a ?. I don't even think the Raiders are the worst team (J-E-T-S) and they certainly have enough to keep it within two scores.

Carolina is suspicious but I can't take a far less talented team here. Seattle or NO PLAY.

I agree completely. Superior team albeit on the road, I've been close to locking in the Hawks for a bit now.

Regarding the Ravens/Broncos I think the line says it all. Can't believe it is this high but if there ever was a team motivated with revenge on their minds it is the Broncos.

There should be some points scored in that Ravens/Bronco's game. I don't think there is a more talented offense in the league than the Bronco's, they're deep every where. Ravens defense was a shell of its former self last year, and I don't think it improves much at all. Denver's defense is so-so....think this one is a shootout.

I don't lay 10 on the road, but if I did I think the Pats are an ok play. Time for the them to come out and make a statement, and put all of the off season BS behind them. Not to mention who the fuck is starting at QB for the bills.

People have been hitting Detroit hard all Summer. I see this as a TD win by them. Minnesota's secondary is young and raw. Minnesota's offense has looked like complete dog shit all preseason...think Detroit is a big bounce back team this year...

I think the Broncos offensive line is a question mark. Ravens D L and lb seem to be legit. Should be fun.

Not sure how they're going to get to 42 points in Pittsburgh with Haley's horizontal offense vs. Jake Locker facing LeBeau's D for the first time.

According to NFL network, Terrell Pryor took snaps with the first team offense today. Not sure it'll really matter.

Terrell Pryor starting in the NFL would be great to see, even though I think he'll get owned.

As far as the Pats this weekend, I usually don't bet against home dogs getting 7 or more but I think Brady shows everyone what they shouldn't have been worrying about all off season this week. Not to mention the lack of a healthy/competent QB tells me it should be a "pats get up early and bore the fuck out of us in the 2h" type game

I agree 100%
I recommend Playing a 6 pt tease (-110) Broncos -1 Over 42.
Revenge is a big factor for Peyton too.

Think Denver's defense is in trouble..no miller for 6 weeks, dumervil gone, bailey doubtful.. Best lineman, MLB and cb... But do the ravens want to get in a shoot out with Denver's offense?

Someone tell me about Vikings defense?
Really like lions...

worst unit on the field will be denver's defense imo

how that translates to the final score is up for debate, but they will be the worst thing out there

Terrell Thomas basically says to bet on the cowboys...

They aspire to be the finest defense in the NFL — a goal set forth by their leader, Justin Tuck, just a week ago — and they believe they can carry this team to the Super Bowl. They promise to finally stuff the run, and maybe even return to their old QB-harrassing ways, too.
Just don’t expect to see all of that on Sunday in Dallas. The Giants may have big defensive goals this year, but according to at least one veteran, they know they may not achieve any of them in September.
“We’re not worrying about Week 1,” corner Terrell Thomas recently told the Daily News. “It’s a buildup. Our biggest goal is the Super Bowl.
“However we get into the playoffs, it doesn’t matter,” he added. “We’ve always kicked and scratched and got in there, anyway. So we’re not worried about if we win or lose the first week.”
Don’t misread Thomas. He believes in this Giants defense — and this Giants team — as much as anyone. But when he surveys the injury woes his defense has already endured in the lead-up to the opener, he’s sure there will be growing pains.
It started with little nicks — Antrel Rolle’s sprained ankle here, Tuck’s achy back there, Corey Webster’s groin and knee elsewhere — but has only gotten worse. Safety Stevie Brown is gone for the year, and wrecking ball defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, who has barely practiced, still isn’t sure if he’s a go on Sunday.

So the big showdown against the Cowboys could be the first time that the entire rebuilt Giants first-team ‘D’ sees the field together, a recipe for communication breakdowns.
“When you haven’t played with somebody, that communication is not as natural as it should be,” Thomas said.
There is a bright side, Thomas stressed, and he’s seen it in action. Two years ago, when the Giants won Super Bowl XLVI, they were never supposed to win with a defense that also saw several key contributors — including Thomas — go down early and spent much of the year battling chemistry issues and big plays.

Secondary has some experience, but is extremely raw. Linebackers are so-so, defensive line is the same as always......

This line has been on the rise and if you like Detroit, I think you jump on it now, before it gets to 6.5-7.

Gonna be rowdy as all hell in there on Sunday....SP returns against the hated rival....

I can't pull the trigger and believe it or not lean ATL at this point

What you seeing?

This has shoot out with revenge all over it, Atlanta always finds a way to lose in the Superdome.

why revenge? They beat ATL at home last year if I remember right.

Didn't we beat them at home though the last time we played?? I meant revenge for the last game, plus they have their coach back and something to prove. I really see Trufant struggling on the outside against any Saints receiver, and Jimmy Graham is going to eat us up in the middle of the field. I really think this is one of those games that whoever holds the ball last wins.

Gonna look at Philly 1H. Without any work in the preseason, RG3 might come out sluggish. Currently the line is Philly +2.5 for the 1H.

thanks.. and I did.

I know about Detroit's line, what about their secondary?
BTW- i have read up on them a little, i just like to get different thoughts..

One thing that keeps popping into my head this AM. You just know that Brady was in front of the TV last night watching Peyton toss up 7 TDs. I've got a very strong lean to the Pats TT O at this point. I'm able to get a 29.5 juiced pretty heavy but it sure is tempting me. I feel like the Pats come out and make a statement on Sunday. Perfect set up for that team. All the offseason mess for them comes pouring out IMO.

reading this makes me worried

New England @ Buffalo

Moving past the Wes Welker-Aaron Hernandez era with Rob Gronkowski on the shelf, the Pats are breaking in a brand-new pass-catching corps with two undrafted rookies in lead roles. There were noticeable hiccups this August, particularly in New England's third exhibition game versus Detroit. The Patriots' offense is highly complex in terms of option routes and personnel packages, creating an unavoidable learning curve for Kenbrell Thompkins, Zach Sudfeld, Aaron Dobson, and Josh Boyce. Early on at least, New England can compensate by leaning on a base-run game that (quietly, almost) ranked in last year's NFL top seven in rushing attempts (2nd), yards (7th), and touchdowns (1st). Particularly in an opener where the Pats figure to lead for the better half of 60 minutes, quick-footed power runner Stevan Ridley is set up for a high volume of carries and multiple scoring chances. The 2013 Bills defense hopes to play better under new coordinator Mike Pettine, but it's impossible to forget that they ranked 31st versus the run last year. Buffalo's lone notable offseason additions up front were former Cardinals second-round bust Alan Branch, ex-Colts first-round flop Jerry Hughes, and rookie Mike ‘backer Kiko Alonso. The Patriots, meanwhile, return all five starters from an offensive line that graded No. 2 in the NFL in 2012 run blocking per Pro Football Focus, and No. 4 according to Football Outsiders.

The Bills plan to play man coverage in the secondary under Pettine, which will be daunting for a defense minus top corner Stephon Gilmore (wrist fracture) for 6-8 weeks. Danny Amendola is a classic man-beating slot receiver and handful for any press-man team, evidenced by 26 combined receptions over his last three games versus man-heavy San Francisco. Look for Amendola to rack up double-digit targets and lead New England in receptions, quite possibly by a large margin. ... If Amendola has been Tom Brady's quickest new-receiver study, Thompkins isn't far off. While I believe it's overly optimistic to project Thompkins to exceed Brandon Lloyd's 2012 stats (74/911/4, fantasy WR34) at the same "X" receiver spot in Josh McDaniels' offense, I'd feel comfortable with Thompkins as a WR3 against a Buffalo defense starting Justin Rogers (two career starts) and return specialist Leodis McKelvin at cornerback. In addition to top corner Gilmore, the Bills may be without top safety Jairus Byrd (plantar fasciitis). ... Shane Vereen and Sudfeld's Week 1 roles are less defined. Both were benched for lost fumbles in the Patriots' third preseason game, and Vereen didn't play in the finale. Sudfeld did, catching two passes for 11 yards. I want to see something from Vereen before considering him more than a dice-roll flex option. Sudfeld is a low-end TE1 play who may hurt fantasy owners if he doesn't score a touchdown against the Bills.

As I studied Doug Marrone's background this offseason, it struck me how dramatically different Marrone and rookie OC Nathaniel Hackett approach offense compared to ex-Bills coach Chan Gailey. Whereas Gailey ran an almost Mike Leachian five-wide spread designed to be pass heavy in nature, Marrone and Hackett are ardent believers in the run and will make C.J. Spiller their foundation. In each of his four years at Syracuse, Marrone's offenses reeled off more rushing attempts than passes, which is all but unheard of in today's NFL. Gailey failed for obvious reasons: He anointed scattershot, noodle-armed Ryan Fitzpatrick his team centerpiece. The new strategy will play to Buffalo's real strengths: Spiller, a fairly underrated line, and trusty backup Fred Jackson. ... Marrone's offense operates in constant hurry-up mode and rips off rushing attempts, setting up Spiller for a mammoth workload. The Bills will encourage New England's defense to "stack the box" and still keep the pedal to the medal in hopes of causing late-game weardown. Whether this formula works in the NFL remains to be seen, but the fantasy bottom line is Spiller has a ton of talent and big-play ability, and he will get the ball a ton. That's a recipe for statistical success.

Due to Marrone and Hackett's philosophy, Bills pass-game members will have a tough time being consistent weekly producers. This will especially be the case in Week 1. Starting E.J. Manuel just 21 days removed from left knee surgery, Marrone is smart enough to know entrusting the reins to a not-ideally-prepared debuting rookie quarterback is no way to play NFL offense. Manuel is the Bills' handpicked future of the franchise, and he has a suspect knee. Even if the Bills fall behind on the scoreboard, look for continued handoffs to Spiller. Marrone would be nuts to let Manuel make 30 dropbacks. ... Stevie Johnson should continue to be Buffalo's most oft-targeted weapon, but QB unreliability and the run-heavy mentality crush his season-long statistical ceiling. On the off chance Johnson starts hot, I'd look to unload him quickly in fantasy leagues. Ultimately, Marrone and Hackett want the passing portion of their offense to spread the wealth and capitalize on the speed of Marquise Goodwin and T.J. Graham, and quickness of new Z receiver Robert Woods. Johnson is the best fantasy bet, but I'm not sure any Bills pass catcher will provide stable week-to-week numbers.

will look to play a cj spiller prop

NBA I would really lean harder to bills tt over rather than ne. I think they sail over three tds, already on game over

Do you think differently of the bills offensive weapons than the writeup above? CJ Spiller should get a heavy heavy workload.
