Dodgers @ Phillies: Adding on to the discussion from pic 1 in post 2, the only time the home team won in this situation was when the opposing team had a starting pitcher with an ERA close to 6. Not the case today with Buehler or Richards.
Cards @ Reds: not much positive mojo for the home team in this situation (pic 1) and they have never won with a starter ERA > 4.50 (pic 3) nor an opposing starter ERA < 4.00 (pic 2). I just hope the Cards BP is up to the task....maybe a FF play to avoid all that 9th inning nastiness and drama? Then again the margin of victory in these games, historically speaking, means even the Cards BP can't f*ck up this game.
Pirates @ Indians: home teams are 3-0 in this situation but 0-2 on the RL. Even with a guy on the bump with an ERA < 3 they can't win by more than 1. I have no interest in fading the red hot Pirates so maybe a +1.5 RL wager??
Nats@Brewers: Hard for the home team to sweep a series in this situation (pic 1) even when they have a starter with an ERA <3.00 (pic 2). And Tanner Roark has pitched well in Miller Park in 3 starts. Take a look at the juices in pic 1 and they're all high except for this game so even when the matchup is better for the home team they were only 2-4 SU. And they only won the 2 games by 1-0 scores. I have a feeling the Brewers will be bait today and will be checking consensus on this one. Take the +1.5 RL and the ML with the Nats here just to cover your ML bet in case it does not pan out.
Tigers @ Royals: Of interest here is the total for this game is the same as one of the wins in the query and also the line is the same for the other home win in the query. Coincidence? Maybe or maybe not but I feel like I stole one last night when I backed the Royals and have no interest going thru that hell again. Pass.....
DBacks@Cubs: home teams in this situation have had some inconsistent results (see pic 1) but, when I enter win differential, the 3-0 SU record shows winning teams don't allow themselves to get swept. I'm thinking Jonny Lester has had enuff of this losing sh*t!
Giants @ Mariners: Upon first glance, lots of mojo for the home team here. 4-1 SU (see pic 1) situationally-speaking and 3-0 SU vs. pitchers with ERAs >4.00 (see pic 2). However, Holland's ERA is close though at 4.06 and all those wins 1) came vs. pitchers with ERAs>Hollands (see pic 4) and 2) came with home starter ERAs less than 4.00 which Leake does not have (see pic 3). Furthermore, Holland has pitched well at Safeco and is during the Day with his best ERA. Leake not quite as good during the day. I like the Giants here at + money.
Red Sox @ O's: Look for the bats to come out tonight in Balty. The two times the home team was dogged in this situation there were plenty of runs (see pic 1). Price & Bundy splits with Culbreth are not kind to either pitcher. I'll be on the Over!
My action thus far today. Lower amounts due to large marge card:

Athletics@Rangers: The only time the home team won in this situation Aaron Nola had to throw a shutout. Just as a comparison to Ranger starter Perez, Nola was in the midst of a great July run last year. See pic below as he had a great ERA. Perez does not seem to be near the caliber pitcher Nola was as Perez has a 8.05 ERA. I think the Public wins this one. A's for the sweep even though Jackson's numbers with Barksdale are not good. A's offense should overcome.
