i'm really sad they pushed Fernandez to Thursday cuz i wanted to play Porcello. I think the club is really trying to give it a go before the AS break to get somewhat back into it
 
grabbed Teheran last night, not going to touch the COL over because Shoemaker has only faced one hitter on the COL roster
 
Peavy with Fletcher 5-0 38 innings ERA 2.37 Degrow 1-1 4.09 ERA I think thar reflects 1 bad game and 1 good game. Degrow on a major bounce like this game under and Lean SF May see angles later on the side but Flletcher is a compelling argument for Peavy

We usually get any ESPN game highlighted (if we get one at all): for Weds. that's meant to be Stl/Cubs, but that has an 8pm est start listed. Might yet be the one, but who knows (likely 7pm games being Hou/Cle or Oak/Nyy).

This year Shoemaker has a 44.5% flyball rate away from home...and the league average is roughly 35% based on FG numbers..and it is his first start in Colorado...I know Heaney did well there yesterday but he is a ground ball pitcher (50% GB)...I expect runs from both sides.
 
Ubaldo with Nelson 35.1 innings 2.29 2.08 ERA at site with a 4-1 record 2.91 ERA on 4 1.6 ERA in the day Seriously worse away this year Milone 1 bad game with ref Ref is a 13-3 homer this season much better day of week for Minn. 1.88 day ERA Not really sure here and baseball- ref is not working for the moment but with the homer ump and current form of teams lean under and Minn looking at the 9-5 days of week record.

same, but i basically won't play totals unless they're perfect and a few innings where COL learns Shoemaker is not good when you need 12 runs

i'm rooting for MIN so we get a better 2H RSW number, but i would have told you i'd be shocked that BAL wasn't the one doing the sweeping if you asked me pre-series
 
Not final but likely to be making a strong bet on Washington Despite Covers showing 2 games with Barksdale and Teheran I do not see him listed which is very annoying.

Fiers has been solid lately too. I bet -1 +106. Solid play win or lose, +EV longterm.
 
Line-up construction is for fools. I'd bat my best hitter lead-off, and line 'em up in descending order of ability to hit the ball. I might tweak it righty/lefty/switch, or to keep slow behind speed, but I want to maximize my best hitters' number of plate appearances. The way it's done now is for the first inning of a 9-inning event.
 
But batting your best hitter 2nd is better than batting him 3rd or 4th. And I can entertain 2nd in the NL, behind the pitcher. Think I'd still lead him off.
