funny thing about chicago. I was watching the chicago vs houston game. I rarely watch chicago games, but it was on so I was watching it. and it was the ugliest basketball performance I've seen from the NBA in a while. BG, Kirk, and Deng taking the 1st turnaround jumper they could get, putting isolations of Ben Wallace?! the score wasn't too indicative as they did make a couple of the shots, but it was ugly. From then I was looking forward to fading Chicago often and at SA... then the firing happened. unfortunate

agreed. Also, sacramento literally GAVE away their last game against Denver. up 3 couple secs left, Udrih misses 2 FTs. Iverson scores, Miller misses 2- Kleiza makes the buzzer putback on the other end. Sac has a little homestand and started it like that. Also, Boston kinda off 2 highly motivated games. the W over chicago off a loss, the W in revenge for Orlando. Gotta be a flat spot

Real lean to Phillie. Miami must know the playoffs are history and this is 4 in 5 with games 3 and 4 divisional rivals Orlando and Washington. Standing up like a real team to Orlando is almost the only thing this Heat team can dream of now. So-- maybe limited effort in this game. Still have to see the number.

It's going to be Pete Myers tomorrow, and likley to be Jim Boylan for the remainder of the season. Boylan is a Skiles guy, but he's considered the favorite to be the guy for the rest of the season.

They've only beat one team in December by DD's and with the Heat on deck is this really a spot they blow somebody out? They've lost three games (SU) this month when they were favored by 8 or more.

Leans so far:

• Philly. Miami b2b, horrid performance after horrid performance. The Sixers can hurt them big time. Wade can't win alone and it seems he has to. Curious to see how Pinny opens it.
• Hawks laying 2.5 seems reasonable. They've been hot and this should be a solid spot for them, and a solid matchup. The Pacers travel to Detroit in two days, then meeting them at home the day after that. Maybe not a classic lookahead but something to consider. The Hawks on the other hand will have 3 road games starting 29th, playing in Dallas, Cleveland and Indiana. Is it me or does this settle nicely for Atlanta play at a short number at home? O200 should be an additional, lower stake bet, I can't see Indiana winning AND the game going under. I'm more keen on betting the home team during holidays, more rested, getting to spend some time at home (well at least not staying in hotels and planes that much), also loved how these Hawks have come together despite some absences.
• smaller lean: Utah.
• The only road team I'm looking at are the Hornets. Not even a lean at this point, but the only road team I can see myself taking here.

Jon Barry said it best, once teams realized how soft everyone on the Magic not named Dwight Howard is, they have attacked. They really miss Tony Battie and I would be shocked if this team didn't trade Hedo for a solid 4 or 5. I have been fading the Magic for a while now and today is not the day I stop. Also, as a Bulls fan, I would say a coaching change normally does some good, but in this case, the talent is so overrated (a career sub .40% shooting PG, a 6-2SG, a SF who cannot create, a revolving door at PF and an aging-unable to score 6-9 C). They play the best fundamental team in the land tomorrow and are only getting 9.5? Shame on Vegas.
