Not exactly. Lakers have their pick top 5 protected, so I could easily see them fighting to protect it - that means a lot of tanking.

If they get Top 5 pick + Randle coming back + Kobe on his last year of the contract - they can have very interesting summer that will attract a good free agent...

Lakers have almost zero salary the year after that, so good tanking here and they can rebuild within one year...

All they have to do, is lose a lot of games and they are on the right track.

Besides Sixers and Magic, can't see what other team can take them out of the bottom 5. Even if we add Utah and Boston in to the mix, still... As long as they don't go on some 4 - 5 games winning streak, they should do fine...
 
But, having said all that, Lakers can be a good bet at the moment. Last 5 games, they covered 4 of them and despite the final score in Oakland, they could have not only covered, but even won that game, so as far as ATS goes, wouldn't go against Lakers as big dogs at the moment...

I also love Minny for tonight.

Bucks and Minny can easily be my bets on 80 out of 82 games they will play this season (without the two games they play each other).

I also plan to play Thunder ATS in home games and Under in their games overall...

Boston will not be bottom five this year...competitive in all games so far...olynk playing really well...smart a great pick...offense clicking and they have a really good coach

i would hesitate to play under tonight in the thunder's game....celts may just try to out score them...line may be a little high for a side on celts.....hope it gets bet down to 4....
 
Liking both Atlanta and Washington games to go over. Also like Atlanta and Suns spreads. Will confirm later.

I agree with all that you said, besides Smart being a great pick. Too soon too tell, but till now... nothing that will tell one way or another. I can honestly say, that so far, this draft was huge dissapoitment. Hope it's only first and wrong impression...
The only one I like is Payton from Orlando and even he, still needs to learn how to put a ball in the basket...

I feel that Pacers won't be bottom 5, if they will ever be healthy. Denver also shouldn't be there.
That leaves Utah and Boston. Maybe you're right about Boston, but still, they are candidates for sure...

solid point....agree too early on smart....wishful thinking on my part....when he is teamed with avery a very good defensive backcourt

my son is biggest homer in new england after tommy heinsohn...so much so that in '07 when they lost 19 in a row he watched every game and is quick to point out that they were competitive in just about every game losing by an average of 3 per game..so funny...when the lakers were 2-1 favs in '08 and i told him that he said...vegas is so wrong dad,the celts won't even need 7...he has no idea what a point spread is but he calls the c's games pretty well....he said chicago giving 9.5 with rose out was like stealing for celts bettor and they won straight up....i didn't believe him and didn't bet c's...he says they will win tonight for sure and i will ask him about the 5.5 points

I am not a believer in bradley.... too short and is a quantity shooter.
on defensive - he can be good however in this nba he will pick up 2 quick fouls for his reaches.... think he would look good on the tblazers bench as 6/7th man..

thoughts on boston from my son....note: he is a big homer but seems to get it close a often....studies the nba all the time...his thoughts

boston will come out fast and push the pace....they are scoring 106 per game...1st in league
they may regress toward the end of the game but still win by at least 7 or more
okc will not try to play d (they are allowing 96/game 1st in league) on the back to back and try to run with the celts which is an advantage to celts because they shoot better
boston will score between 101-108 and win by 7 or more

he did not know what the line was when he gave his analysis
 
In the Suns game the 3 refs are 0-6 for the home team 0-4.5 and are 1-4. 1-4 and 1-3 ATS for home teams this year.

Shaq, Dwight, Nash, Gasol - all signed to play with Kobe.
Payton and Malone came to chase rings with Kobe.
Kobe should ease the rebuild next season.
No reason to think that a star won't sign with LA in the summer, knowing that it's Kobe's last season and after that, LA will have enough money to sign two max players the summer after that...

Kobe sells tickets. And a lot. It wasn't just a question of loyalty, it was business. The money they would have left wouldn't be enough to make this roster championship ready, and they knew it. So why not give him his extension, and while they clean the books, they keep selling tickets. As for the free agents, i call bullshit too. Players that were free didn't sign because they had better prospects elsewhere.

We all know Kobe's personality and how demanding he is. It is HIS team, and most superstars don't want to deal with that. I'm willing to bet Love would have come to LA and signed an extension if the Lakers had the right pieces though.
 
Yeah, Shaq didn't sign to play with Kobias. He signed to be in LA and be that next great Laker. Kobe had just got drafted and traded 13th pick.
 
Atlanta -7 locked. Utah in the middle of a long road trip, plus, after seeing their poor display versus a depleted Pacers team, i just can't see them having the strength to cause trouble to the Hawks. I'm liking the Celtics also, may have to get a small wager on them going.

Keep losing these 99% locks down the wire. Under 7's when it's 0-0 in extra innings, BYU first half covers where three turnovers in 2 minutes and a hail mary is what it takes ... this is seriously starting to get to me.
