Celtic play B2B after Denver - old team, they horrible on the road against the West, they gave the Lakers worst beating of the season just a week and a half ago - so revenge is alive and kicking.
First game after Bass death, Lakers (Kobe) really expect to start a run after the ASG break and they need to win this one I think both for the win column and for the moral and a big win if possible...

Dallas Mavericks

At this point in the season, the investment and priorities of teams are more clearly laid out. Nothing could be more evident in this game tonight. The Magic are 0-8 SU and 1-7 ATS in their last eight road games, losing by an average margin of 16.2 points, while giving up 104.5. Only one time this season have the Magic come off a home loss as a favorite to play as a road dog, and in that game they lost by 20. On the other hand, the Mavericks are 7-3 SU and 8-2 ATS in their last ten home games, scoring an average of 109.8 points during this stretch. The Mavericks are 11-2 SU and 9-4 ATS, scoring an average of 108.4 ppg when playing at home this season against unrested opponents. Since Nowitzki’s return, they are 6-0 SU (+17.3) and ATS as a home favorite, averaging 111.8 points per game.

Teams coming off a home win of 20+ are 119-30 SU and 85-58-6 ATS since the 2005 season when playing at home as a favorite against a non-conference opponent. Teams playing at home on 5 or more days rest are 9-0 SU and 8-1 ATS against an opponent coming off a home loss as a favorite playing on no rest. Teams that are playing in the tail end of a back-to-back as a road dog when they had 5+ days rest prior, are 25-10-1 O/U in that matchup against a team that has 5+ days of rest, giving up 105.4 points per game since the 2000 season. This season as a home favorite, the Mavericks are averaging 107.4 points per game.

With their loss to the Bobcats last night, the Magic may have clinched the title for the worst NBA team right now. "Bad basketball. Bad defense. Just bad,'' guard J.J. Redick said. "Everybody was out there making mistakes. The NBA is about team defense. For the last 28 games we've been pretty awful on the defensive side of the ball.''

I don’t see their defensive prowess returning tonight in a back to back game against an offensive juggernaut that is hungry for a win.


Houston Rockets

This is an interesting match up tonight. This is the chance for Houston to really turn the tide and show that they belong in the same category (or at least conversation) with the Thunder. They need to keep winning as well, as there are teams desperate to climb into the eight spot in the west. The Thunder, on the other hand, have been *struggling* (compared to their usual play) recently. They have gone just 8-6 SU before the all-star break, allowing 100.9 points during this stretch and 103.2 on the road. I’m not sure that an all-star break was what this team really needed right now. Durant said - “Hopefully we get some rest and come back rejuvenated,” but I don’t see them being prepared for this game tonight.

Since the 2005 season, teams that average 103 or more points per game that are coming off a road game where they were trailing by more than 15 at halftime are 72-39 SU (+5.2) and 77-31-3 ATS in their next game (average line -1.1). If they are a dog in this game, they are 32-11-1 ATS. Playing at home, teams are 37-17 ATS. Since the 2005 season, teams coming off a loss where they were trailing by 15 or more at halftime in a game that went over the total are 25-36 SU and 23-37 ATS when playing against a opponent coming off a loss, when they are not playing in the same site. If you add in that their last game was at home and they are playing on the road, teams are 2-16 SU (-12.7) and 6-12 ATS. These trends speak to the recent poor defensive play of the Thunder, and the ability of a good offensive team to rebound after a bad start in their last game. Since the 2005 season, teams playing at home with a line between -3.5 and 3.5 are 43-24 SU and 43-22-2 ATS when they average more than 103 points per game, and they are coming off two games where they allowed their opponents to score more than 55 points in the first half.

The Thunder have owned the Rockets twice this season, but Harden was not able to get going in either game. He was the last Rocket's player to leave the practice facility yesterday, and I think he wants to (and will) perform very well tonight. Perkins is out for the Thunder, and this should help the Rockets a bit inside, as they love to drive the lanes. If Harden can get going tonight, and the Rockets can control the glass, I think they have a great chance to win this tonight.

Just got up but at first glance agree with the Rocket pick. Rockets 0-2 this season vs OKC. First time they were on the road playing b-b. Second time they were at home playing 4 in 5. Both times OKC was playing with a day off. Rockets have been covering recently vs over 500 teams. Only team to really give them trouble was Denver because of their big men I suppose. OKC and Miami both small teams. Big fan of double revenge. OKC with Derick Collins ref 0-5 away SU and ATS.
Stafford OKC 4-2 Away SU and 3-3 ATS
Scott OKC 2-1 Away 2-1 ATS
Houston at home with these refs 7-2 SU and I think 3 ATS losses

It's very easy actually. Been taking Thunder off a loss as autobet the last season and a half and it was one of the best decisions I made the last season and a half in NBA betting.
Rockets don't have the defense to go against Thunder. Thebo can do a really nice job on Harden and I imagine they competed against each other a lot, playing in the same position in Thunder.
Revenge is nice, but 22 and 30 points losses, can't be just a coincedence. Once, maybe. Twice? Looks like a very obvious missmatch.
Not to mention that Rockets are a very streaky team and ASG probably cooled off their hot streak.
Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. It's an autobet for me and if it loses, you know what my next bet in Thunder game will be...

Not to mention that with their two straight losses, Thunder allowed Spurs to gain 2 games lead on them and Heat to catch up. Hard to imagine Thunder thrilled about the thought of playing two Finals (conference and NBA) without HCA advantage...
