LM out for a week, so change that probable to OUT

Trail Blazers just announced that LaMarcus Aldridge is out for a week with a strained left groin

The Blazers have been hit with a couple injuries as LaMarcus Aldridge will miss at least a week with a groin strain.

Yeah it is Thursday. Light slate that day so been that way for years.

Back in day deadline was midnight. Some players were already traded but playing for current teams in a game that night once in awhile.

think it will be more hype this year and less substance but come draft night,, lots of trades...

I like the Wizards, that have amazing ATS road record and really need the win.
Pistons, since it's B2B between the two teams.

Perhaps Toronto as well - they are in amazing form and I see no reason for a letdown from them here. Bulls had some nice rest, but Toronto are rolling at the moment.

During last nights Knicks game, they said that the Knicks flight to New Orleans was canceled due to fog. They'll be taking the one hour flight today. Don't think it's that big of a deal but athletes are creatures of habit and the Knicks are fragile at best mentally.

how much bbq did they have last night,, might be in a food coma still...........

No idea how Woodson is still coaching. He is so beyond dumb and then he comes out after the game and shows off how dumb he is.

Small bet on Boston plus 3.5 first half
Refs seem with the Suns who I really hope will win but Boston away on Wednesday

[h=2]MAGIC AT CAVALIERS, 7 P.M. ET[/h] February 19, 2014 · 6:19PM
TV: League Pass

  • Cavaliers shooting guard Dion Waiters (left knee hyperextension) and center Anderson Varejao (sore back) are both out — and coach Mike Brown said no timetable has been set for their return. Waiters was injured Tuesday when he landed awkwardly on a dunk in the second quarter of Cleveland’s 114-85 win in Philadelphia, but an MRI revealed no structural damage. Leading rebounder Varejao, who has not played since logging 43 minutes on Feb. 9 against Memphis, will miss his fourth straight contest. “You always hope for the best, but you can’t speculate,” Brown said. “You just have to let the doctors do their job.”
  • Cavaliers center Tyler Zeller will make his seventh start of the season in place of Varejao. The second-year pro scored a season-high 18 points and grabbed a career-best 15 rebounds Tuesday against the 76ers. “Tyler can be a very, very effective player for us,” Brown said. “He has size and length, but he just has to keep being active and not relax as much out there.” Zeller is averaging 10.7 points and 7.3 boards over the last three games since Varejao was hurt, but has only played 570 minutes in 43 contests on the season.
  • Cleveland’s lineup is point guard — and NBA All-Star Game MVP – Kyrie Irving, shooting guard Jarrett Jack, small forward Luol Deng, power forward Tristan Thompson, and Zeller. The Cavaliers have won a season-high five straight games and are 10-10 since acquiring Deng from Chicago on Jan. 7. Cleveland is three games behind Charlotte in the race for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot. “Adding Deng has really helped them defensively,” Orlando coach Jacque Vaughn said.
  • The Magic has lost 13 consecutive road games and is an NBA-worst 3-24 away from Amway Center. Orlando’s starters are point guard Jameer Nelson, shooting guard Arron Afflalo, small forward Tobias Harris, power forward Glen Davis, and center Nikola Vucevic. The Magic lost 87-81 in overtime at Cleveland on Jan. 2 as Varejao tied the Cavaliers record with 25 rebounds. “Cleveland not having Varejao is big, especially with the way he played against us the last time,” Vaughn said.

[h=2]PISTONS AT BOBCATS, 7 P.M. ET[/h] February 19, 2014 · 6:13PM
TV: League Pass

  • Detroit and Charlotte will battle for the second time in 24 hours tonight at Time Warner Cable Arena. The Bobcats have a 1.5 game lead over the Pistons for the final playoff spot at the moment after their win last night in the Motor City. Detroit coach John Loyer said, “We have to come out ready to play. That wasn’t the case last night. We let them score early and were never able to recover.”

  • Charlotte center Al Jefferson has been a thorn in the side of the Pistons this season. He scored 32 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out seven assists in their 108-96 win Tuesday night. In two games this season, Jefferson is averaging 28.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists against Detroit. The Bobcats have won 9-of-12 of the games in which Jefferson has scored 25 points or more.

  • Brandon Jennings is averaging 25.0 points in the two games against Charlotte this season and got help from the starting lineup last night, but will need a little more help from the reserves tonight. Detroit is averaging 31.8 points from their bench, but were held to just 13 last night that included a poor-shooting night from Rodney Stuckey (1-for-11, 2 points). which was held to 13.

  • Charlotte’s two victories in the season series with the Pistons have come away from Time Warner Cable Arena where they have dropped five in a row at home to the Pistons. Detroit, however, has lost four straight on the road and eight of 13 overall.

  • The Bobcats are playing their second game as part of a stretch of four games in five nights. With the team in the midst of a playoff push Charlotte coach Steve Clifford knows what’s needed. “I’m playing our starters more minutes and it’s allowed us to play at a better level,” Clifford said. “We’re playing better basketball. The weeks where we play 4-in-5 leave us a bit tired around the fourth game, but I think it’s the best way for our team to have a chance to win every night. We’re just going to keep going and if we have to make an adjustment, we will.”

  • Charlotte’s inactive list tonight is Brendan Haywood (stress fracture, left foot) and Jeffery Taylor (ruptured right Achilles tendon). Detroit’s inactive list is Chauncey Billups (coach’s decision) and Peyton Siva (coach’s decision).

Is Brandon Jennings the most retarded player in the NBA? 3 of 12 from the field - maybe stop shooting and help your team win like a PG is supposed to...

Indy fast becoming the most annoying team in the NBA when it comes to effort. Granted they're in control of the East but this team gives less of a fuck than the Meat, real talk.

And the Meat will roll this team again in the playoffs. Turnovers haunt Indy, Miami feast on such weaknesses.

Shit the Pacers pulled yesterday made me ill. Vogel sat West, Hibbert, Hill and George for the entire 4th quarter last night with Indy only up 12 after 3 and they fail to show up tonight - what was the point ?

unfortunately they don't care about covering. I think you're being a bit too harsh. Indy definitely has it's weaknesses but the team also has a huge advantage over the heat in the paint. Saying the heat will roll over them is just silly IMO

The east is a joke. Indy can afford to take nights off.

As with most players who grew up in the L.A. area and wind up playing for other NBA teams, James Harden seems to look forward to playing the Lakers. Harden, who was born in L.A. and played at Artesia High School in Lakewood, has scored at least 30 points in four straight games against L.A., most recently matching his season high of 38 in a 113-99 win against the visiting Lakers on Jan. 8. He also scored 35 against L.A. in Houston in November, a stinging one-point loss by the Rockets. Houston enters this one with plenty of momentum, having won seven straight heading into the All-Star break.

Indy turn the ball over too much. Unless they resolve this, they won't be beating the Heat this postseason.

I think to beat the Heat though, they definitely need home court advantage. Right now they're up 2.5 games and better not lose it.

Indy has pretty much played their worst ball consistently on the road vs. the West. 7-5 SU there (w/a loss tonight), 34-8 SU everywhere else.

Anti-Heat sentiment starting early.

One good thing for the Pacers is the Heat have no center. Put Hibbert up against even a capable center and he shits himself.

Still think the turnovers will negate that advantage though.

Anthony Davis has to just look around at these bumbling retards he plays with and just shake his head....

Yes if the pacers turn it over like this against the heat it will mean a ton of easy baskets. I also think the heats pgs don't get enough credit
