Lots being made of Campbell picking up Zorn's offense, but I'm not sure the Skins don't come out and run the ball tonight. With Umenyiora and Strahan gone, the opportunity to run the ball should exist for the Skins. Portis averaged nearly 5 yards per carry against New York last season.

For the Giants, I see the opportunity to go deep tonight. If Washington can limit the big plays from Plax, they should be in this til the end. Big question marks for the Redskins in the secondary with Reed Doughty back there. Laron and Springs will be playing tonight, but its anyone's guess how banged up these two really are.

One thing I do know is how valueable getting points in the NFC East is. And 4.5 is a lot of points. Take a look back at last season. Dogs of 3.5 or more in NFC East matchups last year went 5-2 ATS. One of the losses was Dallasd getting 10 against the Skins at the end of the season, when half the starters sat on the bench. So really, you're looking at a 5-1 number here.

Do question marks exist for the Redskins? Hell yeah. Preseason slide, new offense, marginal QB. But I like the Skins defense being able to stop Brandon Jacobs, and I see them being able to run the football. Give me these two factors in a divisional rivalry and allow me to cover key numbers like 1,3, AND 4???? I'm on the dog every time.

SC good health on this. You put up great points for backing Washington.

Though they won the SB, aren't the Giants in a revenge situation here? Didn't your Skins go up them and embarrass them late in the season last year?

didnt have to even wait till i seen who u were on, to know who u were on. fuckin homer.... ;) gl tonight an all season. im not sure yet if im on this game or not

Yeah Joe, but I'm not sure that stung as hard as the Skins being responsible for turning the Giants season turned around early last year. Skins had em buried and choked big time in the seconds half. After that the Giants went on a tear and we all know what happened. So I dunno about the revenge card here.

Yeah, Tru - I was just gonna post the words to "Hail to the Redskins" but I had to come up with some bullshit to put in here.

buried?... two of their scores came from turnovers that put them inside the 10 yard line in Giants territory right in front of the endzone... the other one was a long hail mary that Moss caught passed the double coverage that put him inside the ten... other that those three plays, Campbell wasn't doing too well completing less than half his passes.

Bandit - Yes or No? was the score not 17-3 at halftime in DC?

I didn't say anything about how the score got there or how Campbell played. If you are up 17-3 at the half at home against a team you are favored against, I'd call that having them buried

Back at cha Blitz. I was at Red Rocks Casino in Vegas for that game last year. Went to bed the night before at about 8 am, and dragged my mangy ass out of bed for the 1:00 West Coast start, put on my Santana Moss jersey, went down and got a bloody mary and a cheezeburger from that awesome cafeteria in the sportsbook. I was fighting of a HIGHLY questionable night of obscene drinking and horrible sturggles with morality, and made my way through the bloody and got down half my burger before rushing back to my room around halftime for a liquid shit and vomited up my burger. I spent the second half in sheer misery sitting in bed in my room with the pukes, the shits and worst of all the Skins letting the G men back from the dead.......

I'm going to stay off, but wish you well tonight, Doggy.

I also like this thread because it reminds me of being on both the right sides in each of those two NY/Wash games last season.

=)

That's hilarious Tru. I had all kinds of money on the OVER in VEgas and had made it back to my chair at the sportsbook with my crew. SOme dipshit was there claiming he was a guy who sells his picks on the internet and was telling me how he was 12-1 on the day, contradicting himself every step of the way. He was on the under in the Bears game which had almost no scoring at half and was happily telling me what an idiot I was for taking the over. I ran his ass out of there in the second half screaming across the place every time another picle got returned for a TD. LOL

Joe, I'm expecting a Brownies writeup from you. I'm leaning towards them pretty hard on Sunday and want to get the scoop from the only Browns fan I know.....
