Lots being made of Campbell picking up Zorn's offense, but I'm not sure the Skins don't come out and run the ball tonight. With Umenyiora and Strahan gone, the opportunity to run the ball should exist for the Skins. Portis averaged nearly 5 yards per carry against New York last season.
For the Giants, I see the opportunity to go deep tonight. If Washington can limit the big plays from Plax, they should be in this til the end. Big question marks for the Redskins in the secondary with Reed Doughty back there. Laron and Springs will be playing tonight, but its anyone's guess how banged up these two really are.
One thing I do know is how valueable getting points in the NFC East is. And 4.5 is a lot of points. Take a look back at last season. Dogs of 3.5 or more in NFC East matchups last year went 5-2 ATS. One of the losses was Dallasd getting 10 against the Skins at the end of the season, when half the starters sat on the bench. So really, you're looking at a 5-1 number here.
Do question marks exist for the Redskins? Hell yeah. Preseason slide, new offense, marginal QB. But I like the Skins defense being able to stop Brandon Jacobs, and I see them being able to run the football. Give me these two factors in a divisional rivalry and allow me to cover key numbers like 1,3, AND 4???? I'm on the dog every time.
