Lot of grappler VS striker matchups on this card. Smaller octagon I went with the grapplers in a couple spots here like with Silva, Spencer, and Esparza. I leaned Hermansson too who will have a grappling edge. Just was too worried he gets caught early to lay the juice on him. Shahbazyan will be all in on that early finish cause otherwise he will gas out. Curious to see if he's improved his grappling since the Brunson loss. But anyway back to these plays... Silva BJJ stud I see him posing a much bigger threat to finish this, Mcgee I don't see a great path other than to just try to wear down silva and grind out a close decision. I'm hoping to get dog odds on silva, my books aren't offering it yet.
Spencer and Esparza both will have the same game plans of takedowns and control time in their fights. They both face better strikers. Xiaonan is the scarier striker and the odds reflect that. Dumont doesn't scare me much and I think she will really struggle to keep this standing VS Spencer, no problem laying the number, should be a boring fight where she lays on Dumont the whole time. Think both these ladies get it done on the ground.
Font/garbrandt should be more of a striking match so I went with the more durable guy who has the better fight IQ in Font. Cody is a little more well rounded but he is prone to getting wreckless and caught and he's coming off a bout with covid here. Just see font staying at range and scoring points at distance and likely eventually getting the KO. Like the pkem odds here.
Other fights... Not gonna lay big juice in a heavyweight, lean tafa I guess, more refined striker. Lot of huge mismatches on the undercard that I'm not touching. Algeo-ramos a coin flip, same with hadzovic-medeiros, didn't see enough of an edge to take a side in either of those.
