Two Sooners suspended, headed for jail

Pretty much a regular
Two Sooners committed an armed robbery Thursday according to police reports

No official word, but it's Seth McGowan, a freshman RB who looked very good in limited playing time last year and Trejan Bridges, 5-star WR who has shown flashes, but hasn't lived up to his billing and was one of the players suspended most of last season for smoking weed.

Only some details knows, but it's clear they were morons. Used a gun to steal legal marijuana, then left Bridges' car at the scene

My guess is these guys will do hard time--Oklahoma has mandatory jail time on felonies using a gun-- joining a distinguished list of Sooners in the slammer, including Stanley Wilson, star at OU and the NFL, best know for being found passed out in his room with a crack pipe the night before the Bengals played in the Super Bowl. Later committed a series of burglaries in his home town of LA and went to San Quintin for 25 years on a third strike

LA is similar. Armed robbery will get you locked up for a while. Worse than murder charge sometimes

Formal charges filed against the two players over the weekend--armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (gun).

Maybe they'll get some type of break since both had clean records--at least as adults, juvenile records are kept secret--but my guess is they'll get 10 years or so.

Plenty of evidence. The victim recognized them, video of the car they used driving up, parking, them getting out, gun and proceeds found in car.

Add in the fact the robbery was to highjack marijuana--legal marijuana--from another student who knew one of them and immediately recognized the other and you can see they are not the brightest criminals around

I doubt there has been an OU football in the last 40 years or so who couldn't get marijuana anytime they wanted it, and that was before medical marijuana was legal in Oklahoma. Now it should be automatic so these two must be real morons if they had to resort to armed robbery to get it
