I like the idea. It's already the rule for spring sports, so why not apply it across the board.
If a kid is happy and likes his teammates and coaches he's not going to transfer. If he's' not happy, why not let athletes do what every other student in history has always been free to do--find a place he likes better and start over.
A lot of students will make mistakes, but so what. Learning to make good decisions is part of an education
