some "of interest" tourney match plays like Tommy Fleetwood +150 over Justin Rose, Kiradech Aphibarnrat +110 over Shane Lowry and Haotong Li +115 vs Thorbjorn Olesen BUT did NOT bet anything

first of the final three Rolex Series "big bucks" tourneys for the Race to Dubai (Euro Tour FedEx Cup)

Race to Dubai standings after WGC-HSBC
1st - Francesco Molinari 4,709,921 point
2nd - Tommy Fleetwood 3,502,538 points
3rd - Patrick Reed 3,268,511 points (Masters win)
4th - Xander Schauffele 3,092,488 points (WGC-HSBC win last week)
5th - Alex Noren 2,833,225 points
6th - Rory McIlroy 2,810,979 points
7th - Thorbjorn Olesen 2,695,583 points
8th - Eddie Pepperell 2,478,435 points
9th - Tyrrell Hatton 2,396,224 points
10th - Justin Rose 2,265,016 points
Joh Rahm, Russell Knox, Lucas Bjerregaard, Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Rafael Cabrera-Bello just outside the Top 10

kind of surprised Rahm, Knox, Cabrera-Bello and esp Reed, "X" and Hatton NOT playing this week. Pepperell out injured with a bad back. he hopes to play the final DP World @ Dubai in the UAE. with "minor" PGA tourneys the next two weeks would NOT be surprise IF both Reed and "X" play both the Nedbank next week and DP World final

well sure as hell I do NOT bet Paul Dunne @ 100-1 and he is the 1st round leader [-7] "Young Gun" has done NOTHING since his solo 2nd @ Open de Espana and NOW decides to play golf this week. BUT he has three favorites just one shot back @ [-6] including tourney favorite and last years winner Justin Rose and Euro Ryder Cup player and former winner here Thorbjorn Olesen. seven more @ [-5] including my "cats & dogs" Thomas Detry, Sam Horsfield and the ChiCom Ashun Wu who won the KLM this season

will see what happens the rest of the way BUT IF Rose stays close he probably WINS. weather in Turkey just perfect for golf and the Regnum greens putting VERY true so it will probably take something mid [-20] to win :shake:

after the 2nd round it is "the usual suspects" at the top. Justin Rose 1st [-6] for tourney [-12] with Thorbjorn Olesen [-4] along with Danny Willett [-6] and Portugal Masters winner Tom Lewis [-8] tied 2nd tourney [-10] then four more tied 5th [-9] including Haotong Li [-4] and my "to win" play Sam Horsfield [-6]. first round leader Paul Dunne shot [even] for [-7] while Tommy Fleetwood with a [-5] for [-8] "in range"

well looks like my pet ChiCom Haotong Li decided to play golf this week. 3rd round leader with the low round of the day [-8] for tourney [-17] three up on Justin Rose [-2] and the Frenchman Alex Levy [-5] both [-14] then Thorbjorn Olesen solo 4th [-3] for [-13] and my "to win" play Sam Horsfield [-3] along with Danny Willett [-2] both at [-12]. Tommy Fleetwood [-3] for [-11] is six back. Li was the pre-tourney 20-1 4th favorite along with Shane Lowry

well stayed up and watched the tourney finish and was pretty exciting EXCEPT for the ending. my boy Haotong Li BONED the final round and was three back of Justin Rose thru #14. picked up two with a beauty eagle at #15 and THEN one more with a Justin Rose bogie on #17. BOTH bogied #18 to go to a playoff at [-17]. in the playoff on #18 both hit the green in two and had makeable birdie putts. Ross was away, missed BUT got his par. Li also miss and then JACKED a 4 foot put for bogie to HAND Rose the TOURNEY!!! I about choked on my coffee. ALL I can say for Li is :hang:

my Belguim "cats & dogs" play Thomas Detry came close with a final round [-6] for tourney [-15] tied for 3rd and my "Great Dane" Lucas Bjerregaard with a final [-4] for [-14] tied 5th Lucas had a run of four birdies on the back #11 thru #14 and looked like hw might catch the leaders BUT pared the rest of the way in :(

ON to South Africa for the Nedbank next week at Gary Player's Sun City course. last years winner Branden Grace. interesting that Haotong Li got solo 4th in the tourney while this week tied this weeks tied 5th with Bjerregaard Martin Kaymer got solo 5th. Rory McIlroy listed in the field but NO "Mole" (Race to Dubai leader), Fleetwood (2nd), Rose (3rd) "Fat Pat" Reed (4th), "X" Schauffele (5th) OR Olesen (6th). give players like Li (9th) and my "Great Dane" Bjerregaard (12th} chance to move up. the winner gets a $1.25 million US dollar bonus while 10th gets $250K

Rose just so good

watching the final round I thought BOTH Li AND Rose were going to CHOKE. neither one putted for beans. I was hoping Detry would catch them. btw the Belgium kid is 60-1 this week @ Nedbank in South Africa :)
