I'll take a shot at a couple of these umps today...Paul Schreiber..."Current Member" Friars/Nats OVER 7 -105.

I'm also going with another "Member"...Eric Cooper in SF. His #s fits Sy's requirements but just misses in mine. So, I'll play this one small...Rocks/Giants UNDER 9 1/2 -110

I may take a shot at one other on Rex's list as he's #2 UNDER guy on my list since 2004. Looking at the line, I might wait awhile to see if I can get a better number on that game...

There's four more guys on Rex's list looking for a home that I might be playing tonite....Depends on what series they got too...Would love to see Timmons in Tampa or Tejas tonight!

Hey boys.......... I'd be careful with that Colo / SF Under. Buckholz and Ortiz both have been pitching through minefields their last couple of outings. With the Under Club Ump I won't play the Over but with two potential gas can starters I'm keeping my distance.

Interested as well to see who shows up in Tampa and Texas.
 
Would point out Schreiber in San Diego has Not been a friend of home teams and San Diego and that in his last 3 road games the National pitcher has given up only 1 run in 3 first five innings so a play on Nationals first 5 makes much sense. Think if there was a available database on site on these umps to consult there would be more discussion but covers for example only showed Montague this year in their database and some of the listed over and under umps in this thread seem debatable. Vanover was listed as over even though for at least the last 2 years he had more unders then overs and has maintained a better than 2-1 strikeout to walk ratio. Point is later when Covers inproves I will be more likely to post but here we do not have Pops in depth info so I think saying little makes some sense. GL

Under is 4-1 in Cooper's last 5 games behind home plate vs. San Francisco.

Good shit tuck...although Vanover was an OVER ump last year posting a 20-14 O/U record last season. He did however call a high rate of strikes last year, so his record last year was a little deceiving.

You are correct green...DIAZ is #18 on my list for UNDER guy. He did start the season 3-0 O/U and now is 3-2 O/U. This guy is not a "member" so I wont be playing this game.

Yeah, there is no greater thread in all forums than the totals thread in the RX that pops69 runs - as evidenced by the number of views.

What's even more impressive is that I met pops last year when he came to CR. He said this year he is make a more concerted effort to keep the plays secret - only those who make regular thread contributions or help him with the spread sheet are on the e-mail list of plays received...

So don't be surprised to go in there and if you don't do your research, see bogus plays listed in that thread, hahaha...
 
I like OVER in Detroit a lot. Loewen is the biggest smoke-and-mirrors in the league, as evidenced by his 2-0 and 3.20 ERA but 1.73 (amazingly high) WHIP... And Durbin is the weak link in the DET rotation...

Could be fisticuffs tonight, as the last 2 meetings have yielded hit batsmen and the benches cleared last night... OVER looks good...

I agree 1000% on loewen, his time is coming to get ripped and Detroit is hitting LHP at .302 in their last 10..

Durbin will not pitch like he did against the CHW last game.. No way no how..

I was about to play isnce i got 9-115 and BetJam jumped to 9-120.. damnit
 
FUCK!!! We have an "Current Member" in Tampa, but the wrong fucking guy. Mark Carlson is an UNDER guy and ranked #2 on my list this season so far. DAMMIT!

I like this thread, I don't think its a waste of time but a lot of us just don't know much about the Umps. Its a part of the game I have started to factor into my betting though and I love these threads.. Maybe if we can try to get this thread as an overall discussion thread it might get some more hits and comments

I tried to factor the weather into the total..

Weather.com was showing light wind blowing in so I don't think that is much of an issue. The rain could be a little issue, I am no where near Detroit so I don't know what it is like right now but maybe the rain keeps the pitchers from getting a good grip on the ball.. Overall though I don't think weather is that big of a factor its more of Loewen walking too many batters and Durbin returning to his usual form for me.
 
Charlie Reliford in Boston...Borderline member of the OVER club. Thing is, he's #10 on my UNDER list since 2004. I'll pass. Plus the wind in blowing 17 mph IN from LF.
 
Houston can't seem to find any runs at Minute Maid. I'm sticking to the under in Boston. You'd have to see Boston scoring 8 runs for that thing to hit the over.
