Can't say I agree with this statement. If anything, he would want his teammates to play. I see this as a HUGE motivation for Memphis to win the game. What better way to pay tribute to your teammate?

I have to agree with Aztec here. This is like IU with Hoeppner and NW last year (an absolutely awful team) that came out and won the opener for their coach.

Well, Seabass, it's not just that. I had Memphis slightly favored in this one at -4. If they hadn't faded horribly against Arky St the line would have been more like 7+.

I expect Memphis to get out early again on emotion and then have to protect against the backdoor.

Definitely 2 angles here. But my thought is if there was a shooting at my school, I wouldn't even want to be there let alone play a game a few days after it happened. I don't care if the incident is isolated or not. When one of your teammates gets shot and killed on or near your campus, you're going to be affected negatively. Football is the last thing on these kids minds.

Now, if the kid died in a plan crash or drowned or something THAT isolated, then the angle is reversed.
