Thunder go to Memphis next in a playoff elimination revenge game. Pacers should get their revenge on the Heat.

Kobe in his second game back plays the Suns - we know how much he "loves" this team...

Which I would usually discard due to road-trip where they just played three powers...

I know NBA's not going to like this, but why are the Nets favored against anybody? Is that not strange to anyone else?

They've had the second to last net efficiency rating over the last 10 games, and the only team that has been worse than them are the Bucks who are they only team they have beaten in recent memory?
They are averaging the 91 ppg (only team worse than that are the Bobcats...

Tuesday is by far the best day for the Lakers. If D'antoni screws up the line ups again not sure it will save them. Over a real option I will look at as well as Suns first half of course.

Here's a trend nba will appreciate:

NBA

(509) BOSTON @ (510) BROOKLYN | 12/10/2013 - 7:35 PM
Play OVER BROOKLYN on the first half total in All games on Tuesday nights
The record is 18 Overs and 4 Unders for the last three seasons (+13.60 units)
2stars.jpg

Looks like it'll be set at 96.5 - 97 so considering Boston's averaging 53.2 1H points their last 5 games, that means the Nets just have to pitch in with about 43-44 points (easier said than done with the Nets this season).

Where do you get these trends from hugh? Took that Orlando under and hit nicely

I do expect the Suns to lose tomorrow. Next game is Kings and then GS 6 straight losses to them. Suns have won 2 in a row5 times. The first 4 they lost game 4 but Lakers HAVE to play their younger players more minutes.
Oh, not sure about the over. Suns have had a lot of time to work on D.

May be kidding myself. Kobe does not like the Suns. The Suns do not like Kobe. The Lakers have some really good scorers who will try and clean up Kobe's messes. Game can easily fly over.
Pounding the Rock is estimating a 19 point win for Spurs.

the pace the Lakers played at with Kobe and Gasol in there was BEYOND glacial...every single possession was a near shot clock violation in his first game back. with hill/young/meeks/johnson out there with kobe it picked up a bit, but still pretty slow whenever the ball got into kobe's hands

Because deron Williams is back. And terry as well. And even Paul pierce. That's why they're favored.

I still think the nets will win the division. All depends on if deron can stay healthy.

The nets have been an awful 3rd quarter team for so many years. Idk what the hell goes on at halftime but it's just very strange.

Star players out = Take the team

Star players return = Fade the team
That's something that has always made sense to me but I've never seen any analysis to see if there is any merit to it. It seems like public perception would overreact and the line would take that into account.

I done really know how you can backtrack it but it makes sense. Other players step up when a player goes down.... MOST of the time... Rose was a different situation because of how much of a toll that must of had on the team.

When a star comes back, not only is he rusty... The other players tend to relax and do the opposite of what they did when the player got injured.

It makes perfect sense to me.

Will probably stay away from Pacers-Heat game. Don't like to lay points vs Lebron and co... Also, according to betcrimes Thread, Eastern home favs playing vs non Conf Teams are just 10-25 ATS off a 5 game road trip

Indiana and Miami are in the same conference :)

Indiana's level of motivation is not the question whatsoever IMO. The question IMO is can the Indy guards produce enough

List of scores in the fourth quarter when Miami plays at Indiana
Most recent to late
22-23 45 total
22-22 44 total
23-20 43 total
24-22 46 total
20-20 40 total
All scores came from 2013
Took under 47.5 at 5 dimes

dont see why people think Lakers are going to beat Phoenix tonight...Kobe admitted a lot in post-game interviews -- says he has a lot of in-game kinks to work out and there is only one way to work them out, and thats by playing.

If Lakers are seriously going to be rotating Sacre into the game for more than 30 second periods then that interior is softer than Drake. Suns play a nice brand of basketball, and I don't see how the Lakers defense slows them down. I'm still looking into this, but this is a Pacific Conference game so don't think the Suns are going to 'overlook' this one. Big game for both teams.

any thoughts on this game?
