real early without looking at anything like the Stars / Kings under

Toronto is notoriously poor on the west coast, but wondering what Wilsons effect will have knowing them better and how to prepare for them.
 
Finals rematch at JLA.

Should be interesting. Revenge for Pens and Hossa's first game against former squad.
 
Haven't been able to follow hockey much except for a few West Coast Wings games about 10 days ago..

This Pens team I don't think is clicking like last season.

This may be the game to wake them up and go on a nice little run.


Last time the Leafs did this Canadian road trip. Was a 3 game road trip like this one.

Calgary - Loss
Edmonton - Win
Vancouver - Win

I know it has no relevance on this Canadian Road Trip
 
Some food for thought:

ISLANDERS vs FLYERS
- Philadelphia is 6-1 in their last 7 meetings and 3-1 in NY
- the Flyers scored only 1 goal in each of their last games after previously averaging 4.7 goals per game over the past 7
- Islanders exactly the opposite - 3.2 goals on average over their L5 games while previously averaged only 2.0 goals per game over the past 5
- Martin Biron road splits: 1-1-0 4.00 GAA and only .867 save%
- Joey McDonald at home only 2-3-1 3.63 GAA and .885 save%
- Flyers main problem - it seems like they more often than not just don't come ready to play. Plus they don't seem to find a good rhythm between their offense and defense - those 2 aspects of their game usually don't work both (well) at the same time
- Islanders main problem - often letdowns in 3rd periods

RED WINGS vs PENGUINS
- Detroit is 4-2 in their L6 meetings and 2-1 in Detroit (2-1 ATS). Their last meeting was back on 04.06 this year
- while the Pens offense has been doing extremely well during their current 3-game winning streak (5 goals per game on average) the defensive aspect of their game isn't looking so good - 3.2 goals scored against on average over their past 6 games
- Detroit had a 5-game layoff prior to their most recent game vs NJ during which they discussed about further improving their game, mainly from defensive aspect and scoring from regular in-game situations (non-PP)
- Marc-Andre Fleury allowed 3, 3 and 4 goals in his most recent 3 starts (good only for a .878 save%)
- Chris Osgood (who's probable for tonight) allowed 5, 2 and 1 goal in his most recent 3 starts while posting very nice .907 save%
- with Saturday's victory over NJ, Osgood also tied Tom Barrasco for 14th place on the career win list with 369. And from what I've heard - he's aiming for 400 wins or more before he's done playing here

FLAMES vs MAPLE LEAFS
- Toronto coming off a big confidence-builer win over Canadiens
- Calgary only 1-4 over their last 5 games plus they've been fighting with a flu AND this will be their 4th game in 6 nights
- Leaf's Vesa Toskala allowed 5, 4 and 3 goals over his most recent 3 starts but in his last start - 2 from 3 goals were scored on opposing team's PP
- Flames' Miika Kiprusoff had a day-off prior to his most recent start vs Chicago but it didn't helped him much - he's allowed 6 goals in that game and now has allowed 4, 6 and 6 goals over his previous 3 starts - good only for a .795 save% (!!!)


Haven't researched the other games (yet), and this is only a small exception from my notes for those 3 games. Hopefully his could help someone before making final decisions...

Will post my final plays a few hours before game time.

The price is bad for Montreal but they seem to have continued with last years habit of winning in the weekdays while not doing so good on the weekends. Hamrlik will be back. But it needs to be said, the habs havent played that great, they had another team meeting yesterday. They are back from a roadtrip but had 2 days off since their last game which favours them.
 
Toronto has had 6 straight OVER results. Calgary usually gets it done at home on Tuesdays, thinking Calgary and under but mostly Calgary.

Anyways, it seems that Nabokov is still listed DTD, and with injuries to goalies it's never a good thing to rush these, that being said, I belive boucher goes tonight. Boucher is just terrible, if you guys watched the game with the Yotes and Sharks, you guys saw the youg kids just expose boucher. I dont' think Nashville is a terrible team, they can score, their only downside is that they let in just as much goals as they score and their goalies are pretty weak this year. Now take a look at San Jose, If they do one thing real well under new headcoach Todd McLellan it's that they score..I'll take a shot at the over @ plus money.....btw boucher sucks! :cheers:

BTW, It's Rememberance Day for us Canadians =) my :tiphat: to the troops of the past and current.

I dont think tonight is the night for revenge for the Pens... on the road, playing Hossa etc. If it were at home Id say otherwise, kinda looks like a bad spot for them IMO, stepping out of division play and right back vs a rival Philly on Thursday.
