Troubled former Lions receiver Titus Young was arrested last week on another felony charge, this time battery with serious bodily injury, reports the Detroit Free Press. He is currently in custody at a Los Angeles correctional facility. Bail is set at $105,000.
The arrest came on July 9, a day before Young was scheduled to appear at a pretrial hearing in Newport Beach, Calif., where he is facing four felonies and seven other criminal charges. In May 2013, Young, 24, was arrested four times -- including three times in one week -- and his father indicated at the time that Young suffered from a brain disorder and needed medical help.
The NFL said that it tried to provide Young with that help when he was a member of the Lions but that the wide receiver declined it.
"It was someone very, very close to him who was just concerned -- really concerned," Troy Vincent, then the NFL's director of player development, told Yahoo.com at the time. "Once we got the call, we sent someone out to meet with him … We were told he was not interested in support. We went to people very close to his center of influence, to reach out to see how we can support him. The response was of someone who is not open arms to being supported."
The Lions drafted Young in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. In two seasons, Young caught 81 passes for 990 yards and 10 touchdowns. But behavioral problems -- including punching teammate Louis Delmas -- led to his release in February 2013.

LOL. I know the name of his condition, it's called thugism. He is already experiencing advanced symptoms such as prison time and if he isn't careful the final symptom is being killed by someone else.

He needs serious mental help. Your comment is easier said than done for the majority of humans.

No shit. And it's a Liar Liar quote, not that serious. Serious mental help? That's such a cheap ass cop out. Dude knows what he's doing and chooses to do it anyway.

no man, this cat is out there, he aint right. great job by lions scouting department not to detect any of these signs that so many did.

The dude is clearly a psycho... The wiring upstairs is not correct in him. Apparently they tried to get him help and he wanted no part of it, but right now he is definitely a danger to society.

when the Lions selected him they had to have been thinking that because he has these troubles they were getting incredibly talented player leader in the draft and his talent would indicate... That strategy can work very well if the guy gets his shit together or you could end up with Aaron Hernandez or this guy

such a shame
