ok .. could not find a play yesterday but i found three that i like for thursday. the good news for me is that they are all unders. unders have been good to me so far. lets see how it goes. i have played all three of these already so official plays post will be coming after this. here is what i am looking at with a few tidbits for each
reds/bjays under 8 ---
under notes volquez
whip is 1.17, era is 1.71
volquez has not allowed more than 3 er in any start this year. he allowed 3 er just once at florida in a game where he gave up just 3 hits over 6 innings but walked 5
Since his april 22 start he has pitched atleast 6 innings in every start
volquez has ahrdly been seen by the bjays batters , they are just 1 for 8 against him lifetime
under notes litsch
litsch has a 1.27 whip , era is 4.06
reds have hardly seen this kid. they are 1 for 9 lifetime
litsch has given up 3 er or less in 5 of 7 home starts
litsch doesnt walk people. he has not given up more than 2 walks since his first start of the year
batters hit 18 points lower off him when he is at home

hickox is mostly a neutral umpire but i see a slight lean to being an under ump.

rays bat just .230 off of hendrickson and even more impressive is an obp of just .299. 61 AB so a decent sample.
rays have just 2 hr off of him in those 61 AB and just 1 double. they dont hit him hard when they hit him.

hendrickson has been hit or miss at home. either really good or really bad
will we see rested bats in day game following a night game ? probably

marlins walk only once per 11.3 AB against righties ... around every 9 AB vs lefties

cardinals dont bat particularly well vs lhp and when you pull pujols numbers away ( .425 ) , it gets even worse.

wellemeyer sports a nice 1.21 whip
wellemeyer has been a stud type pitcher on the road. 3.35 era , 1.12 whip
righties bat just .243 off of him , and that is what the tigers lineup tends to hold
