The Truth Is Out There
51-43 (+22.51)

TNT.

San Antonio Spurs at Oklahoma City Thunder

The play...

Thunder ML -165 (3.3 to win 2)

Once again I avoided the spread and played the ML, although I doubt it comes into play. Local currently offering 4 and a half which twisted my arm a little.

This is a 'scheduled loss' for the Spurs, SA playing a 'FIGASENI' (Fifth Game in Seven Nights) vs OKC on 3 days rest.

Wouldn't be surprised if Pops sits a few as well.

:shake:

By my 'numbers' I have the Thunder v Spurs game lined at 3.5 with 'intact rotations'.

Spurs have 2 and 3 days rest between their next two respective games. Just wondering what you thought about that, plus the fact they won by 21 last night after being up 15 at the half. I didn't see the game last night. Thunder three days off looks strong though.

Also, tell us more about the Mavs if you get a chance. I want to join you on them. Cheers bro.

OKC the best team SA has seen on the road during their win streak - Cavs, Bulls, Lakers, Kings, Warriors, Nuggets and Pacers (in their current form) don't really make the cut quite like the Thunder does.

The fact SA has a couple of days off after tonight doesn't concern me at all, OKC are a bad match-up for SA, Spurs the talk of the NBA for once and sit directly above OKC for the top spot out West. OKC should bring the fire and brimstone into this game.

Hate going for teams to sweep the regular season series but I'll make an exception here.

Will drop thoughts on the Mavs soon.

It's not just that they have rest upcoming...it's that they didnt play anyone over 30 minutes and the two most important to conserve energy played 20 MPG per (Duncan, Ginobli)...

Parker looks strong again and he played under 30...Leonard and Green don't need the rest but didnt play a ton either...Splitter and Diaw should have fresh legs tonight too (Diaw took the most minutes @ like 32ish)

In what amounted to a pick up game last night due to GS's own letdown...

I dont think anyone gets sat tonight...it's looking like pop is gonna let his players get a look @ OKC, just not bring out a post season gameplan...the way they're playing I think it's stupid to bet ML against them...

Keep in mind, there's a lot of feelings involved tonight...Spurs are 0 for 3 this season against OKC and I don't know if they REALLY wanna head into the post season allowing OKC to be 4-0 against them for momentum...

Also, they had a similar steak end against OKC in the post season two years ago, losing in 6 in the WCF...after taking the first two for what amounted to 20 straight games. The spurs have longggg memories and I wouldn't be surprised to see a LOT of effort out of Duncan and others...

game plan is the only think I see lacking tonight but with how well SAS is playing, it's impossible to wanna bet against them IMO

Either way I'm taking 'situation over statistics'. Spurs in a bad scheduling spot and I'm playing it accordingly.

'Blankets' asshole chapter hopping aboard OKC is a concern though.

Thanks, man.

No pressure on SA, so doubt Pops has his guys play with playoff intensity. He just wants to see how Kawhi handles KD.

OKC strike me as the team that would approach it like a playoff.

Spurs are the much better team IMO but the recent dominance by okc has me spooked. The old adage to not get in front of a streak also holds. If okc hadn't been 3-0 vs the spurs year I would probably take the thunder but I just can't do it. The 5 in 7 is not enough for me to fade the spurs

Would normally not play a team going for the season sweep but the whole '19-in-a-row' thing somewhat negates that.

Unlikely OKC wants to be that 20th victim in the history books. Spurs have been catching teams in unfavorable spots, tonight they are in that spot.
