Yesterday was a magical day for the Lakers, teams ahead of them, GSW, Utah and Houston - all lost (two as heavy favorites). Two teams behind them, Portland and Dallas, lost as well.
Should do wonders for their motivation today...

Means little. Refs were pro-Utah last night, especially Joey C. Home/away splits a little more weighted, albeit very slightly. Ref reading, line reading are all pretty much void this season.

The good old 'fade' plays though are making a resurgence...
 
I'm not looking at refs to make plays. But if I'm not 100% sold on a bet, they can make a difference.
If the line would have been 8 points, would have taken the Lakers. 10 points seems a bit high for me. The refs don't add to the confidence for sure...
 
Those trends don't mean anything divol. If you want to use refs you have to know how each one calls games and their biases with players and coaches. Otherwise it's pointless IMO
 
do the sixers show any heart tonight? I know doug collins pulled the starters vs orlando. embarrassing home loss 2 days ago.
 
Took the Sixers tonight. Bulls without Gibson, both teams are a mess, should be a real battle. 7 points just too much here.
Sixers can lose by double digits, but I like their chances to cover...
 
Rose thing (will he, won't he) has f'ed up the Bulls mojo, IMO. Sixers are a mess, not sure this team is with the coach anymore. GL with this game if you decide to play it...
 
thats what i think too emkee, and now skip bayless has come out and said bynum's knee is degenerative which, if true, means philly will part ways asap.

Should lead to a huge night for Steph Curry. They usually have the big man sag and protect against the roll man. This prevents lobs/alley hoops and quick passes to the bigs in the paint which breakdown a defense.

This strategy has helped them lead in the NBA in pick n roll defense against the roll man but they are only 18th against the ball handler. By taking away the roll man they open up the elbows for midrange jumpers. They are ok with this-cuz if they are going to lose they want teams to beat them with long 2's- a good strategy. This is the reason Will Bynum torched them in the Pistons game last time. I think Curry is gonna have a field day.

If I was betting....
Rare prop: Curry over 20.5 points is easy money.

Also think a Bulls/Mavs ML parlay looks good and I like the Warriors to cover the spread of 8. For reason I just mentioned and also Granger chemistry issues.

Chris Paul over 16 points -115 looks REALLY GOOD for all the reasons mentioned above. There is a chance Bledsoe might miss the game or be limited which would increase CP3's minutes.
