I will play Kansas, they are playing great baseball right now. On other side Yankees are bad in april. And i hae +142. I took it already. I will post it tomorrow in my thread.

Fading Contreras. Twins are hitting well tonight.

I will play Cubs for sure.

Brewers-don't know yet. Will see what happnede today. If they loose I'll probably take them.HARANG is 4-3 when starting against MILWAUKEE with an ERA of 4.58 and a WHIP of 1.473
And VILLANUEVA is 1-0 when starting against CINCINNATI with an ERA of 1.47 and a WHIP of 1.309.

Francis and plus money!! Colorados bats are getting better and better.

Mets/Phillies.
First thought is under. Both pitchers have nice records against opponents. I have to think. I don't like totals or I didn't find yet the "system".

SF/Cardinals
I like Wainwright, but too small odds

Tampa Bay. I don't think they will loose third game in a row at home. They lost today. Jackson started season ok against NYY.
The only question is if I will take -125. probably will.

Tigers
Let's do it. Probably just 1st 5 innings.

Oak/Tor
I like Eveland. He won against Sabathia. Okland is solid right now. They won two games of three against Indians. Then they won first game in Toronto. And now they are playing 8th inning and is open game 3-2 for Toronto. On other side MARCUM is 0-1 when starting against OAKLAND with an ERA of 9.39 and a WHIP of 2.216.

Texas/Baltimore.
I was on Texas today and maybe tomorrow. But only RL if I will take. They can score. And -140 is just oo small. Millwood has good record against them and in last start he pitched 8th innings against LAA, where he allowed 2 runs. What I think is ok. MILLWOOD is 7-2 when starting against BALTIMORE with an ERA of 3.49 and a WHIP of 1.134

Thats it for now. These are just my first thoughts and leans.
I took already Twins +133, Royals+142 and Cubs-108 (-1), because I think odds will drop.

I forgot Washington/Florida.
I believed in Washington today. And they lost. Yes, they allowed 7 runs in 5th. I will wait one or two games. For now i will stay away.

phils/mets Under 9.5 looks nice, its moved up half a .5 since open.
good under ump in barrett
maine owned the phils and no rollins is going to keep hurting them
eaton #'s vs the Mets last year and career aren't bad at all

Peldas , would say that I am thinking completely opposite of you so far . Not a good thing or a bad thing but just have a different slant.

Really like ATL Thursday afternoon.

Hudson is throwing real well at the moment and had really shutdown RHB so far . He had a 3.09 ERA on the road last year . He pitched @ Coors just twice neither with good results but I dont think it was anything with the field or enviroment. He simply pitched well in only May and August of 2006 and was @ Coors in Sept that season making his 2nd to last start of the season and had spuna 1 hit CG shutout at home in early May already vs them. While he was pitching fairly well at the time of his May 2005 start @ Coors this was said in the game recap :
Hudson lasted only 3 2-3 innings, his shortest outing this season. He didn’t get hit particularly hard, but still allowed 10 hits, seven runs and three walks in his first outing at Coors Field.
“I was just not making real good pitches tonight,” he said. “I have to make better pitches and I could get the ball hit on the ground instead of all the bloop hits that they got. That is what kills you around here, is the bloop hits.”

Lets remember how hard its to sweep a 4 game series and remember ATL has now lost all 4 of its road game so alot of emphasis IMO is placed on this game by them. Tim Hudson I believe and double check these numbers as best as possible was 100-17 in his career when receieving at least 4 runs of support . Last year when he started and ATL scored 4 or more the Braves went 20-2 and so far 1-0 this year . To make that an INSANE 121-19 when he gets 4 or more runs.

Now Francis is really struggling. Lost in the mix is he was down 5-1 @ STL on OPening Day and was saved by a rain out . He then followed it with a rough outing @ Zona allowing 12 hits and 5 runs in about 6 innings. ATL much like DET will really hit well vs LHP. They should have 6 bats who hit LH well and LH Johnson and Kotsay . He has not done well vs ATL in his career. He pitched well @ ATL in August of last year going 6 innings allowing 1 run. The 1st time he made 6 innings . Earlier in the year 11h , 4runs in 5.1 @ coors and in 06 he went 5 inn 9hits 5 runs at home.

Hudson was 6-1 in 8 day starts and Col was only hitting 234 entering todays game which ATL started LH James. Col has hit just 200 in day games so far were ATL has pounded out 23 hits in 2 games. Helton and Holliday were amazinmg in day games last year around 380 !! The kicker is Franics was 8-0 in day starts !! How do you fade that ? Simply dont feel he is the same pitcher as last year . Prior to last year he really didnt show much of a preference to day vs night starts. Also the start @ STL on opening day in the day and he was getting shelled...

WIth STL just feel that Wainright continues to progress as a SP and becoming on eof the better RH in the league. SFG continues to struggle with the bats and I even backed them again today. There is no LH power in SF and just think STL has the edge with a good pen and solid lineup especially with Duncan back in the mix.

With Tor I thought marcum threw real well vs boston and anytime you get a home team of a couple bad losses at home trying to avoid a sweep you have to like there chances. Tor blew both games but nothing was as bad as today with 4 runs in the 9th. Jays bounce back. Eveland is a solid prospect IMO. Jays should have at least 8 RHB in the lineup and most of there key hitter stroked at 310 vs LH last year. Sure Eveland beat CLE but the Tribe struggle vs LHP and most teams lineup to throw LHS at them. Hell for the OPENING SERIES Guillen held Buerhle back 3 days just to make sure he pitched vs them . It back fired when he was on 8 days rest and had nada but you see the thought process.

Think NYY is in a great spot with Pettitte. We dont want to get swept in KC . There is no way I thought they would WIN the 1st game but hoped for it. late Monday finish then fly to KC an dplay a day game after losing an hour while KC had there home opener after a day off. Today same deal. They scratch Kennedy cause of the weather and that has to suck the life out of your team as you know ur basically throwing the backend of your pen all game. Still no excuse for losing but definetly not a motivational edge. KC is built on Gload , Teahen , Gordon , DeJesus when healthy and Butler. All except for Butler are LH a definite plus and the reson why KC struggled vs LHP last year. Guillen , Buck and Pena have been in deep slumps so far. Leaving Grudz and Gathright if Dejesus remains out. Bale not overly impressive. Last start 10 hits and 4 runs in 6 innings vs Miny who like NY is built on some key LHB. I'll take an ace type SP vs a 5th starter any day . Pettitte wasnt that bad in his 1st outing and will show improvement just needing to complete 6 so Joba and Mo can finish it.

Some interest in the Mets , reds , Cubs , TB but will look to playTexas again but waiting to see what they do with SP for the DH.

BOL all:cheers:

Well they PPD ATLANTA , went small on reds and over 8.5 . Then played TB for a normal play and small on the under 9.5. Think the key for TB is Batista's struggles vs LHB. Past 2 years WHIPS of 1.7 and 1.94 and BAA of 294 and 321 ...his achilles heel for sure can they take advantage of it ? Seattle flies home after this game...and TB 5 LH with Haynes in the lineup...

BOL

Solid analysis on the KC/Yanks game, SN. I agree with pretty much everything you pointed out. Bale is definitely a concern vs. the Yanks and AP. Disappointing that this is the only trip Yanks will be in KC and the weather has just been crap. Always enjoy going out to see them and it looks like tonight will be bad weather again. GL.

Thanks J . Gonna wait to later to see how the weather shakes out. Reading the overnight weather report it didnt sound so good with Tstorms and 90% chance of rain. Havent checked yet to see what there saying . Good spot for NY would like to pay -140 or less. Dont want to play if there is a chance of delays since we taxed our pen yesterday and really the day before. I really like this KC team though . If Bannister and Meche can duplicate last season which they are capable of doing and Grienke continues to progress then you have 3 nice SP and the upside of the lineup is obvious outside of streaky medicore hitters at SS and catcher. Nice patched together pen with low risk type guys who have performed well at times and the continued maturation of Soria . Hovechar on the horizon and not update off the top of my head about there other prospects but the seem lined up to be a solid team in the near future . Even Luke Hudson had looked so good when healthy could be SP or a setup guy . Yabota and Ramirez and ex Yank lost in the Chacon deal ( I believe) can get it done it seems as well.

Anyway if anyone cares played Tex and -1.5 in the 1st game with a small play on the OV 10.5 . Figured Day game BALL should be jumping in Texas. Lot of LHB for O's and same for Texas vs Traschel who has been POOR in day starts past few years. The reason the guy has managed to stick around is his ability to get LHB out as RHB , check his splist past few years and you'll see what I mean...Millwood hard luck loser twice should get some run support here...

Another note Tex in 3 wins 26 runs and 4 losses 5 runs...

Millwood continued his dominance of the Orioles last season, going 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA in two starts. He is 5-0 with a 1.70 ERA in his last five outings against Baltimore.

Traschel had basically 6 ERAs on the road and in the day ...

The one blessing Traschel receives is he gets an extra day and if you check his splist are better recent season when he gets more then 5 days rest rather his regular turn in the rotation...

The Reds are up 4-1 and worse is I split my plays would love to see Cincy scratch a few more they blew a nice chance in the 7th when Griffer hit into a DP. The Rays led 7-0 to start the 9th need 3 outs and have 2 runs to play with for the total. With TB ML and small -1.5 play pending...

Might be back b4 5 ! BOL all

Can anyone when they have a chance closer to gametime let me know how the weather is at KC. I should be around to see the pregame but might have to be leaving right around 7:30 to play bball for a hours till about 10:15 ish...Seems like high 60s and fairly nice nothing like the weather report...beautiful here in NY for any who care or interested in the Met game ...high 70s and simply beautiful , nicest day of 08 hands down ! Ball could be jumping at Shea BUT the weather seems to change drastically around 6 last few days...

Nut,
I'm about 180 miles west of Kaufman and it has rained off and on all day. I wouldn't expect it to be any different there.

Thanks Buck. I really appreciate it . I dont want to get stuck laying a hefty price with NYY only to lose Pettitte after a rain delay or something...thanks again..

Also Brian Roberts is NOT playing in the 1st game of the DH or should I say starting according to the LINEUPS I see. Neither is SS Luis Hernandez which is kinda odd to have both your MI's out of the lineup.

Texas in the day so far pretty solid. Last year Laird and Blalock good numbers as well as Murphy in a TINY sample , Young okay but below what I would expect for him. Kinsler and Catalanotto terrible day splits but previous Kinsler was above 300 and Blalocks werent good.

Bradley 307 career vs Balt pitching and very solid day splits abover 310 past 2 years and nearly 340 in 05. Broussard 302 last year but really no difference in previous years actually slightily worse. Hamilton terrible day splits in limted atbats. More interested in his 370 lifetime avg vs Balt pitching.

Just 3 RHB and 6 LHB for Texas which as I mentioned Traschel has lasted so long for his ability to get LHs out. I bet if I could see the splits though on the road very minor differences vs LH and RHs. Which is why his ERA balloons!

O's in day games 18 runs in 4 games and I think 277 avg so far nothing special. last year Huff and Markakis at 290 , Millar 257 , Mora 248 , hernandez 222. Fahey , Moore small insignificant samples. Luke Scott somewhat weaker day splits....

In the pen Walker had some struggles in day games and Aquinos career splits are terrible for day games. Albers is a kid who has struggled on teh road in his early career as well...

BOL!

Yankees this season are 11-66 with runners in scoring position. The Yankees have not stole a base this season. Oh, they play Boston tomorrow. NP

Thanks guys really appreciated . Able to stick around a bit later then expected and leaving now. Anyway the weather looked like it could hold up for at least the first few innings so played Yanks and -1.5 for small and smaller plays...Guillen slumping and hitting 4th along with Grudz on the bench really pushed me . Yanks sit Abreu and Giambi like Ensberg getting in there ....lets see what happens to big a game to lose IMO as u dont want to be in BOSTON riding a losing streak..
