Thursday Discussion Thread

Im seriously scared to cap the games after last night! Theresa has dr appointments this afternoon so I gotta do early and go make plays or not at all. Guess I’ll glance at card, I’ve just never felt so awful after a bad day. Not like I never have them just the way shit went yesterday was a special kind of brutal. Like every game had something go wrong! Was hoping I get over it after eating bunch of pills and sleeping but then I looked at tickets cause I actually bet at casino yesterday and made me sick all over again. Never woods thought I drop all that cash on that card, at worst thought I’d split, actually expected way better cause I loved the card.,

Again so sorry to anyone who tailed, feel awful, if it any consolation I prob lost more or at least as much! Lol

I’ll talk bout little later but those the 3 that stuck out to me.

Red Sox/o’s ov 8.5 feels super low. Sox have a .877 career ops vs Eflin and imo this was just another half stepping garbage move by o’s, instead of going for it they bring a gas can in rogers and a middling lifer who doesn’t move the needle in eflin. Hats off to o’s for drafting all these great players but what a joke they refuse to cash in any their chips and once again won’t win a WS that was their for taking. We see tonight what will happen to Eflin in playoffs.

Pivetta a wild card as he could pitch well but I trust o’s get a few and get him out the game. I think both teams score 4+, actually think Sox score 6-7 which why I’ll gladly take the +124 also.
 
It’s a sad state of affairs in Balty. Loved that team, bet them a ton in the 1sr half but starting that cubs series right before asb they have became much more a fade team for me. The front office is totally shitting the bed, I guess they just gonna hold on to all these kids with nowhere to play so they can replace guys when contracts come up? Makes no sense they didn’t make a trade for one the difference making starters and a damn closer! Instead they did what cardinals usually do and dumpster dive at deadline! The difference is o’s actually have the chips to get a difference maker and a team that could have won the WS had they went out and got an ace and a closer. Instead I foresee another early playoff exit.

Mets should be able to snag a few off Mitch Spence who doesn't do much well. 3-2 First 5 seems within reach.

One angle that I'm not sure has much validity (yet). Athletics have hit Jose Soriano well in 2 starts, he pitches similarly to Quintana and throws an elite sinker, better than Q's, has a decent secondary with the Curve, and a crappy fastball. Realizing one is a lefty, the other a righty, we'll see.

Mets inability to score in the first innings bothers me a bit, and puts you a little behind in the F5 over game.

I think A’s actually hit lhp better than rhp, or im thinking of another team but think that was part the reason I liked oak Ff tt over. I didn’t look real close at Mets vs A’s starter but the game ff ov prob just as good, you know how I love those 1.5 TT’s tho!
 
Webb vs Braves be intersting, wondering if Braves getting to see b2b lefties helped them smash Ray or maybe Ray was just off. Pretty confident Webb can pitch deep which for him to get 6 k’s he prob needs to go at least 6 but then again Braves strike out a lot even if he isnf really a strikeout pitcher

I don’t think I liked Flaherty numbers in milw but not sure they matter much cause most of those woulda came while he was pitching like a total clown shitbag for cards! Not this guy now! Yet another mfer that gets out of stl and turns into an all star. At some point they can’t keep blaming coincidence and maybe should take some personal responsibility for this once proud franchise turning into a toilet!
 
Random scheduling in play for Oakland and SF. They play each other Sat/Sun but have tomorrow off. Oakland has to fly cross country while SF play in the Bay Area today. Not sure if it means anything for today's game...I have read plenty of metric type stuff as to why to fade both Quintana and Spence, more so Quintana. Typically not a fan of a lot of runs in a getaway situation where they have to travel cross country but not having a game tomorrow likely changes that to some degree. Mets stay at home to play the Fish tomorrow.

Like the M's in a fade of Faedo, Seattle only goes to PIT for the weekend series while Detroit has the Yanks coming to town. Pretty easy spot for Detroit to be flat in a day game. Miller is one of those pitchers I typically struggle with but more confident with him on the road (as in he likely gets more run support than at home).

Really only other game I'm interested in is throwing Wheeler f5 in a parlay with anything else that needs a partner. Think he'd have to struggle at this point to give up more than a run through 5 innings.

Fried fade could be in play vs Webb but I'm not really a fan of SF to do a bunch of scoring regardless of the opposing pitcher.

Faedo just an opener today, and the pen has been used up a bit. So they go to Hanifee and who else? Maybe Shelby? They gonna bring Maeda in?

Quintana unable to find himself and Gelof, who’s had an absolutely despicable year at the plate let’s him off the hook 3-2 count bases loaded.
 
I never do this but I did a sgp with bos ml, ov 8, and Eflin un 5.5 k’s. That the part I never do, doubt I have ever played a under k prop but not only do I think it unlikely he fans 6 Red Sox I don’t think it real likely he pitches deep into the game either. Incredibly different play for me but think it hit, then again I havnt been able to hit a fat lady wit a biscuit last 2 days!! .

This Mets game has been absolute mess. Shit pitching, balks, wild pitches, stupid decisions at bat, bunting with 2 outs man on 2nd. Game will likely approach 4 hours.
 
Giants are really working Fried hard these first 2 innings.. 54 pitches.. though Webb has arguably his best stuff of the season.

No cause I didn’t see point leaving out o’s offense vs Pivetta who could be great or could give up a big inning. Plus likes the price for Red Sox ml single.
 
Can’t believe I didn’t see that Sox ff tt ov 1.5.. shoulda been a banger. If Eflin beats ya so what !?! Won’t happen often!
