Thoughts guys...

Phillyroom

Pretty much a regular
What do you guys think...

Lakers under 42 wins....that is what they had last year....and I think Kobe is history...might be a good one

Dallas over 56 wins...they had 67 last year...dont see that changing much..and if kobe comes aboard...who know...

Boston over 48 wins...I think with the core they have...I see an easy 55-58 wins...THIS IS GOING TO BE A LARGE BET FROM ME...

Pacer over 32 wins....I think they have the chemistry to win around 38-42..

Utah over 48 wins....They are going to be better than last year of 51 wins...

You know whats weird. I haven't even looked at season totals yet. Went 2-1 two years ago and 1-0 last year with Wizards. Alays great value.

My quick takes:

Pacers new system and whatnot. Reason that would scare me is a midseason trade of J.O.

Utah over...not bad at all. Great rebounding team. AK needs to have his head straight. They are not stuck in the tough division either.

I think Boston will be like CHI last year...up and down till ASG..then really gel...I think they get low-fifties tops though. Suprised that was set so low.

Lakers...if Kobe plays all year..he is going to be league MVP. He is in tremendous shape and I think he has his best all-around year ever. Tht being said, I feel you on the thinking here.

Dallas...some teams come out with a vengence after a disapointment..like they did last year and DET did two years ago. Others come out sluggish.

Orlando under 46.5 is what sticks out for me.

The biggest movers so far

Toronto Over 42 -142
Cleveland Under 48.5 -138
NO Over 38 -135

Dallas--Minus any injuries I don't see why they don't cover that. They certainly have the last 3 years.

Boston--I wouldn't play this just based on the fact that you are guranteed to be getting screwed by the oddsmakers two games at a minimum. If Vegas thinks they'll win 50 games they'd set the line at 52 just because they know people will still take the over. It still looks low to me at 48, but something tells me they'll win 46.

Pacers -- I'd run from that bet. 9-24 L33 and 2-14 in March. Horrible guard play will keep the Pacers below 30 wins.

Lakers -- Another big public team that I think you're giving a couple of games away before the season even starts. They've covered this # the last two years and can only be better this year. Still a huge wildcard to bet on an over here with Kobe halfway out the door.

Jazz-- Jazz won 51 last year and and it could have been alot better without their 5-11 run coming down the stretch. Still they were extremely healthy with Boozer, Dwill, and Okur all avoiding any big injuries. The AK situation will be fine so don't let that scare you off. Jazz management either told him play your ass off so we can trade you or we're not going to trade you so you might as well starting trying to fit into the offense. He's played great so far during pre-season. Another 51-31 season would be great, but expecting anything much higher would be foolish. 48 seems a bit tight.

boston TT looks soft to me

Sure it does. I agree 100%, but would Vegas put out a soft team total on a team with as much publicity as anybody this offseason. I think not. I may be overthinking it, but at least you have a contrarion view on it. They still have no bench, no point guard and a problem once Ray's ankles start hurting him or Paul starts dealing with some injuries.

Boston has no point guard? hmm theres a lot of the teams in the east who don't have a pg. They dont need a guy who scores 20 a game.

agreed.

Rajon Rondo is a perfectly capable point guard to do what Doc needs him to do. He plays tough D, he has great handle and his offense has imporved from what i've seen in the preseason. Not so much his jump shot but he is seeing a lot of open lanes to get to the basket. I think this is becuase the opponents 4or5 is going to have to step out becuase KG is a threat from the perimeter. I think that a good point guard is more of a luxury in the NBA then a neccissity. If you like Boston at over 48.5 wins at -120 (greek) might want to check out Celts to win the Atlantic at +105.

I Love Boston over 48 wins. It's up to 49.5 already. Look for them to win a lot of games this year.

Would expect Dallas over to hit. Bass and Nick look like fine additions. Plays on Portland and Sac over got money from me. GL

I am putting a G on the Utah over 48 before it goes up to much...I think of them all this is the best shot..GL

Cleveland is at only 47.5, huh?

They're not stupid. That team is going down this year.

I don't bet season team totals but Dallas should exceed this number...not a big margin for error though, but I still like it.

I agree the Cavs line looks fishy, the public will pound the over.

Seriously. Cleveland is dead. It boggles the mind when one really examines that team. They are a mess.

Why isn't James speaking out about the lack of effort and initiative on the part of the management?

im just hoping miami doesnt win their division and i dont expect them to, like under on them, lakers, celts, clips, and cavs. over on raptors.

I think Dallas over 56 is solid, no reason not to win 60.

Also really like....

-Atlanta ov. 38.5
-Chicago ov. 48.5
-Pheonix ov. 56.5
-Toronto ov. 42.5

I really don't see why any of these don't cover. If I had some patience I would play some of them. Might, I think the deadline is tommorrow.

I like under 20 in Minnesota YIKES and under 28 on the sonics.. both teams wont many in the west at all.
Also think the clippers will suck.

What are the odds on the hawks winning the east :36_9_5:
