The Philadelphia 76ers Will go 15-67....

nbafan88

Pretty much a regular
and im going to do something very stupid

Knicks ML -2400 Risk 100 to win 4.17

will roll it over the rest of the way

i wish 5 dimes just gave me the prop...

well if the prop of "Will the 76ers get a 16th win on the season?" was offered i would put $100 on "No".... thats why im doing this.

Interesting. I kind of like this nbafan. Just curious, what do you think the odds would have been on them not winning another game? My guess is they are going to be average being about 7-9 point dogs the rest of the year. So, assuming a ML of -400 on dogs, 20 games left, i guess the odds would be 4/1 or 5/1.

It's not dumb at all. He's locked in to only lose his original risk amount. And he'll be getting a minimum of 4-5% return a game. Sometimes up to 20%. Compounded each game.

The 76ers are clearly tanking to get the worst record. They won too many games at the beginning of the season. The bucks are two games behind them.... I'm not sure if the bucks are going to start losing on purpose or not but I'm 100% convinced that the sixers are making an effort to get the most ping pong balls. Gotta keep an eye on the race for worst

this coupled with the fact that no team wants to be the team that loses vs them.... Their remaining schedule after tonight is versus teams who are all in playoff contention. They're not winning again

and the season win total of course... I'm sure Vegas got a lot of action on the over 16 ;)

As of 2013, with 30 NBA teams, 16 qualify for the playoffs and the remaining 14 teams are entered in the draft lottery. These 14 teams are ranked in reverse order of their regular season record and are assigned the following number of chances

250 combinations, 25.0% chance of receiving the #1 pick
199 combinations, 19.9% chance
156 combinations, 15.6% chance
119 combinations, 11.9% chance
88 combinations, 8.8% chance
63 combinations, 6.3% chance
43 combinations, 4.3% chance
28 combinations, 2.8% chance
17 combinations, 1.7% chance
11 combinations, 1.1% chance
8 combinations, 0.8% chance
7 combinations, 0.7% chance
6 combinations, 0.6% chance
5 combinations, 0.5% chance
Here are the odds for each seed to get specific picks if there were no ties (rounded to 3 decimal places):

Seed Chances 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th 11th 12th 13th 14th

In the event that teams finish with the same record, each tied team receives the average of the total number of combinations for the positions that they occupy. In 2007, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Portland Trail Blazers tied for the sixth worst record. The average of the 6th and 7th positions in the lottery was taken, resulting in each team getting 53 combinations (the average of 63 and 43). Should the average number not be an integer, a coin flip is then used to determine which team or teams receive the extra combination(s). The result of the coin flip is also used to determine who receives the earlier pick in the event that neither of the tied teams wins one of the first three picks via the lottery.

worst record means the worst pick you can get is fourth. The lottery system is only for picks 1-3. After that, it goes in order of worst record.

Funny how the last 2 posts come 6 hours after the game was played... ...very insightful...

damn i loved the idea nbafan...

what was the future you were hoping for anyways? Did the numbers compare? what would you have ended up winning, 200ish?

i have no idea but i was looking for a future saying the 76ers wouldnt win another game and finish with 15 wins... couldnt find it so I decided to do it by myself

lost a unit

Sorry, I had forgot the teams were even playing that night. He had a plan that they would never win another game. I looked when he first started this and thought to myself it has a great chance other than the Detroit home game. No reason to tell him to pick and choose games because that is not what he intended to do.

Kudos on the effort....
